@@MarkHK66 Have a look at the likes of Zego (there are a few others too), they offer "pay as you go" insurance. Costs from as little at 33p per hour. So it only kicks in when you're delivering. You need to check with your current insurer that they allow top up insurance though. I think a new video is due for this - since this one is very much out of date now.

@@rahaizzadeen3919 yep it's very difficult to get hire and reward insurance for under 25s. Have you tried Zego? Have a look on google - I *think* they cover any age but not 100% sure
What does the 60 day promotional insurance mean in the app? My wife just started flex and not sure what that ment. Does that mean she will have to find her own insurance after the 60 day?. Also on the Insurance certificate in the app it’s only dated for 6 months any help would be appreciated 👍🏻
Hi Liam! Firstly, thanks for watching and taking the time to comment! So the 60 day promotional message - That's been on there since as far back as I can remember and is not relevant as far as I can tell. I think Amazon have that as a kind of "get out clause" if they ever wanted to withdraw the policy cover from delivery partners (i.e. Flex Delivery Drivers). I have seen messages from Flex Support stating as much from forum members on Facebook groups posting the responses from them (this has been a hotly debated topic in Flex Land for some time). If you (or your wife) are worried about it though you could always pop to the help section of the App and drop support a line. The 6 months - That's a rolling date that is renewed every 6 months (or at least has been as long as I've been delivering). Hope that's cleared it up a little and I hope your wife is enjoying a bit of well paid delivery work where you are :)

She works part time as a normal job and earns under the taxable tax band so the flex is going to top up her money but will sometimes take her over the tax band. The flex is a self employed basis? So will she need to sort the tax out her self? 👍🏻
@@liammac425 Yeah mate, so if she earns over £1,000 in the tax year (before off takings) she'll have to register for self assessment and complete a tax return when it comes due. I've got a full video with some info on tax and registering that might be helpful. But she can earn £1,000 from being self employed before she needs to register, but obviously for official guidance you're best off contacting HMRC as I'm not a tax expert in any way :D

Hello there, I think that legally you would need to have commuting on your insurance as driving to the depot would not be a social drive. I could be wrong of course. You'd be best off speaking to your insurer - you should notify them anyway if you are planning on making Amazon Flex deliveries. Amazon only provide a "top up" insurance policy.
@@metr0n0me1 Hey! Yeah I've told them - I have business insurance myself anyway (not hire & reward though) and 15+ years no claims so the increase to my premium was minimal
@@LeftoverVenison so the insurance for driving my car on leaving the depot for delivery’s off their parcels is free that is the hire and reward you were talking about right. I know of course I would have my normal insurance for driving to the depot. So would I need a dbs check if so do you know how much that is

Does Amazon flex insurance need your car registration number? Or will you automatically be insured by Amazon(Zurich)
As far as I know you are covered in any vehicle you are driving when making deliveries as long as you're personally insured on the vehicle
