Mass intake of new drivers including myself, have come across a few new drivers this week at Prime Gateshead and Morrisons Byker who have started this week. I've seen at least 5 new drivers this week. After speaking with a new driver they get offered the reserve at base rate and accept it. I've also been noticing the 3 door cars as well. My first week I was getting reserves offered left right and centre, 2nd week dead. Picking up any blocks that are cancelled but you have to be quick.
Hi mate, nice to come across another local driver ;) Hope works picks up a bit for us over the next few days - I think it will with black friday and that (but who knows!)
Im based around Birmingham so got to a few depots in around Birmingham and the cages are already out, you literally just pull up behind the next car and the cage is already there. Theres no swapping cages, you dont want that cage then just say to go home , unpaid obviously! But i do see some in 3 door cars and if the packages fit, which they should do then the marshals don't normally have an issue
Hi mate, too many new drivers who are eager and a snapping up basic rate blocks. Hence no chance for increased rate blocks, it's not worth me doing a 80+ miles plus route for 3 hours at basic rate. Gonna sit tight and watch what happens great content and keep up the good work. Furthermore cages at logistics down south are all ready out and set so no chances of cherry picking a small route.
Great video again mate Have you ever received a email about a violation? I got one this morning about tossing or mishandling a package I'm 1000% sure I've never done this
Hi mate, cheers! - No I've never had one like that. I wonder if a customer has called and complained or something. No doubt they won't share any particulars with you so there is no real way for you to defend yourself.
Hi mate, enjoying your vids. I've just started this week, from Sunderland depot mainly. However I got a Middlesbrough Prime in for 2 hours at £55. 3 Morrisons deliveries, took half an hour.. I'm guessing these aren't as popular as the logistics.
Hi Nigel - glad you like them, cheers mate! I think plenty of people like a Morrison's block generally (Both Byker and Middlesbrough Morrison's are miles away from me so not generally worth bothering for me). A £55 block with 3 drops is a nice little earner though, long may it continue for you! :)
@@LeftoverVenison My apologies it was £45. Just out of curiosity, what would happen if I delivered a package, but forget to scan it. Would the app let me know?
@@mrnigeljohn I don't often do Morrison's so not 100% sure but I reckon you'd know because it wouldn't let you complete the drop and move on to the next delivery if you'd not scanned them all. In which case you could knock again and ask to scan it or ring support via the app and ask them to mark it delivered
@@grantben2499 Hi mate - yeah, depends how early you finish it and what distance you are from the store, but you can absolutely be sent back to the store for another pick up
@@LeftoverVenison As I live about 15 miles away from store, I didn't go straight home, I loitering around Morrisons, incase of more deliveries but nothing came through. So effectively I done my full hours, just not actually worked them.
Car infront of me last week was a really small 3 door. There were 2 large parcels that she couldn't fit in and 1 of the yard staff just took off her route really not fair
Yeah, it's total BS really. The yard staff should turn them away as far as I'm concerned if the smaller 3 door vehicle becomes an issue. I mean, fair enough if they can fit the route but if not...it should be bye byes really.
no all three doors are small though my focus st is 3doors would you say thats small for parcels also my abarth grande punto is smaller but more than enough for parcels
I'd say there's quite a difference between a focus 3 door and a fiat 500 or the like. If you rock up in a 3 door that doesn't fit your assigned round in you should be sent away
The best one is tiny 3 door cars, can't get all the packages in but have a passenger. I also think part of it is desperation by amazon to get as many parcels out for Xmas.
Any thoughts on 3 day vehicles and the "modern day slavery" comment?

That's interesting mate, thanks for sharing!

Hey Mohammad - cheers! Yeah I think you are spot on with the new drivers and I feel the exact same way about those basic rate blocks :D
I agree totally not when price of petrol what it is

I use a 3 door and wouldn't dream of not taking the full amount...my backseats are down I have ample room
Fair enough bud! Just out of interest - have you ever been turned away from a depot?

Aye that's also a personal favourite of mine
South East still dead
Lots of new guys about?
@@LeftoverVenison I think so, but can't check as it's dead😉
