This was PHENOMENAL~ LOVED everything so much!!!! Thank you for sharing. It's very inspirational. I'm a knitter and sewing is intimidating to me but I'm trying to push past it. All the best, Kimberly
I just love your handmade style so much! I love how well you know your own style and palette...everything you make suits you so well from colours to cut / shapes to fabric choices! It's so deliciously cohesive...
This is such an awesome compliment 🥰 thank you so much!!
Ahna, all your makes are fabulous!! The fawn and the rosamund are my favorite ❤ so much inspiration and I love how you style everything! I would never think of those pairings haha
Aww Megha you are the sweetest ☺️ thank you!
So much inspiration! Too much! Now I need to make it all
Well that’s funny because YOU are MY inspiration ♥️ ♥️ ♥️
I love your projects! Especially the sailor collared blouse . Your colour choices are so good. I’m handsewing my wardrobe over the last year. ( I’m retired) and so far I have made three dresses, two skirts and two tops. Slow stitching is so relaxing!
Now THAT is impressive! Do you use patterns specifically made for hand stitching? Or just draft your own? I bet the pieces you’ve made are beautiful 😻
Love the block pants! They look great on you and I love the styling. I appreciate your videos! I have a similar body shape and its so nice to see styling of handmade items that are similar to things I'd like to make.
That’s so nice to hear 🥰 Thank you!!
That’s so nice to hear 🥰 Thank you!!
Thank you for sharing your garments - they’re so beautiful 🍀 I will definitely try the Rosamund blouse and you’ve cracked open the ZW book for me that I’ve had for a year but never made anything from… thank you🌟
Oh that’s so great to hear! 😃 and thank you so much ♥️
So many lovely makes !! What an absolute treat .
Thank you ❤️ ❤️
Very very nice garments! I don't really sew, but one day I might get back into it. Love the loose and flowy too.
Thank you so much 😊
I love your creativity!
Thank you ☺️
I can't believe UA-cam didn't notify me about your new video 😢 I absolutely LOVE this format, dare I say I enjoy it more than a regular podcast? But if you upload a Podcast I'll definitely watch it and enjoy it a lot as well!
You are so sweet, thank you!
Love the format! One little tip for sewing anything quilts or clothing. Iron every seam as you go. Never skip this step!
This is an excellent tip that I will use. Thank you!! ❤️
Thank you. The Hair looks good. Sorry for my English , I am from Germany
Thank you so much!
I’m a a year + late for your mal, but love your selection of patterns. I started out looking for knitting vest patterns, but have come away with sewing and crochet patterns that I will definitely add to my list. I better get busy! Really enjoyed your episode and am now a new subscriber.
I love to hear it! Thank you so much ☺️
Such a beautiful shawl 🤩. Yes, please, show us how you style your sewing garments. I could get some inspiration .
Thank you! ❤️
Beautiful!
Thank you!
I love watching you style your cloths! So yes please 😇
Yay! Thank you!
I like to see the styling. I also really enjoyed your new format!
Yay, thank you!
I love the new series! So awesome! I would love to see a styling video with your sewn makes!
Thank you! 😃
The porch curtain is a great idea. (I have a window that looks almost directly into a neighbor’s window - it is so awkward.) I do love your styling videos and would love to see more.
Thank you so much ☺️
Thanks for showing the drop spindle process - I’ve heard so many people talk about it, but had no idea how it actually worked! I might have to give it a go! Also love your boxy ochre shirt, don’t know if you can share where that is from, or is it me-made? Love your shawl too!
Oh yes I encourage it!! The boxy shirt is from a clothing brand called ModRef 😊
Thanks for this fun and entertaining episode. HUGE TIP for your quilting: Before you start cutting your fabric, heavily starch and press your fabric. It will give you a lot more precision which is paramount with quilting. Also, press each seam as you go. Pressing and starching are your best friends when it comes to sewing. HTH 😊
This is a great tip!! I keep forgetting starch exists 😅
Yes to the styling. Enjoyed this video so much. Your shawl is gorgeous!!
Thank you so much!! 🥰
Thank you so much! I enjoyed this type of video, your projects are as always lovely! Hope you have a great Summer! ♥
Aww thank you!! I hope you are enjoying your summer as well 😃
Ahna, your handspun shawl is like major goals for me! Thank you for all the inspiration. I absolutely love the quilt curtain idea and all the while I was thinking the quilt blocks were for the inside :D I like the quilt blocks on both sides idea haha
Thank you so much 🥹 ❤️
Once again Anna, you nailed it! I would love to see you style your pieces too please. 👏👏👏
Thank you 🥹 and yay I’ll incorporate that into the video!
You are one of my style inspirations already! Yes please do styling!! I love all your episodes
Oh you are so sweet! I’ll be sure to add the styling 😃
Loved this video! Your shawl is so beautiful. I want one now!❤
Aww Becky you’re the sweetest 😃
Really like this new format. Lovely shawl.
Thank you very much!
Love this format, your quilt curtain is going to be amazing ! Yes to styling :)
Thank you!! 😃
Love this style of video….but I’d love any version you’d do, you’re very inspiring 😊.
You are so sweet! Thank you 🥰
I love all of your videos! Always inspiring and beautiful seeing what you are making and hearing what you have to say. Definitely want to see how you style your me made pieces. Thanks for providing us with this great content.
That is so kind, thank you! ❤️
Thank you for a lovely video-- love the new style <3 I totally agree with you about shawls. Before I started knitting it wouldn't have occurred to me to wear one! But I love the fit and function, and the way they show off intricate or interesting stitch patterns and beautiful yarn. And indeed, when I see someone wearing a shawl, odds are they (or someone who loves them) knit it. It's an instant feeling of connection! IYKYK :)
I totally agree!! It’s like an ice breaker when you see a shawl in the wild to ask the person about it 😍
All the formats - all the stories - yes to the styling! I'll watch everything you put out. You are a talented maker and I feel really inspired by your content. 💖
Thank you so much 🥹
Love the new format! ❤ Yes, to adding styling.
Yay! Thank you!
So lovely Ahna! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ and great shawl 😮 it looks amazing
Thank you Kaci! 🥰
My first time watching and I really enjoyed your format. And I always enjoy watching knits being styled. It helps give me ideas for wearing my knits!
Aww thank you! 🥰
Love the new format and cannot wait for the next episode! I also spotted your little void kitty. 🐈⬛ I would love to meet them in the future! ❤
Oh yes that’s Lou Lou! She’s usually pretty shy but will sometimes make an appearance ☺️
Please include the styling part as well. I like the new and the old format. The new format is lovely and dreamy :)
Yay thank you! 🥰
I love a good shawl knit with handspun. i've done 2 completely handspun shawls, and one that's a blend of commercially spun yarn and handspun. definitely pairs well with tweedy commercial yarns and millspun yarns.
Oh yes! I think they are such a great use for handspun
love how you morph your podcasts to be current and creatively relevant. Keep it up and I cant wait to see the FO of the porch curtain.
Thanks so much! 🥰
Wow, your shawl is stunning! I would love to see how you style your sewn items, too. Also, I really love this style of video!
Oh thank you! 🥰
Your shawl is beautiful! Love it against the color of your shirt!
Thank you! 😊
Adored this video ❤️ I think a styling component to your video would be so fun. Can't wait to see your patchwork curtain
Yay! Thank you!
Lovely podcast The new format is great. I would love to see sewing stylized Your curtain idea is such a good one. Cant wait to see it finished. That shawl will be perfect for fall. happy making
Thanks so much! 🥰
I like the Vlog formate for my UA-cam channel mainly because I'm not a Test Knitter or a professional Sample knitter who only selling and promoting a designers product. I do watch a few Test Knitter type Podcasts and I've noticed that a lot of women who are test knitter exclusively now include other vloging footage. So for me ...I prefer the Vlog type of everyday crafting with Yarn Shopping and footage of beautiful scenery where people live. I also love visiting Crafters studios and how we all organise our collections of Crafting materials. I collect Quilting Fabrics, and specifically Novelty prints and 4 Designers Ive followed for many years..KFC collective, Tula, Charley Harper and some Liberty and stored in Colour. I do like your Out and About footages.
Oh nice! I bet you make lovely quilts with those fabrics 🥰
Fabulous! Lovely! Interesting! Creative! Thank you, for all your inspiration 😉
Haha thank you!! 🥰
I'm not an expert on quilting or sewing of any kind, but I would consider putting a backing fabric (even a bed sheet) and running some quilting lines or even tying the backing to the quilt top. You don't have to use batting. The reason I say this is because the weight of the curtain/quilt is going to be on those seams in your quilt blocks if they are not stabilized to the backing. If you are using linen (LOVE this) and the weight of the fabric causes it to fray at the seams it could make holes, then there goes all your hard work. Food for thought.
I did not even consider that! Thank you for pointing that out 😃 maybe I’ll put the linen bedsheet I have between the two and just tie them together throughout
I thing a bojagi quilt might be the right thing for your outside area. It’s quilted with sheer linen so it’s not blocking the light and it’s reversible. 😊
Oh YES! These are so cool. I was thinking about making a half one for our bathroom!
Styling yes! You don't look like a beginner quilter, those blocks and colors are fantastic! You will probably think of this yourself, but you can always put a clear shower curtain in front of the quilt to keep it dryer/ cleaner! Great idea to make it to begin with!
That’s such a great idea!! 😃
