Kudos to you for all you have learned about sewing. I agree with you re the bed sheet thing and being judicious about using them for clothing. You can almost always tell the person is basically wearing a bed sheet. I love the dress you are wearing, and I am going to check out the links you provided.
I love that your “eatin’ shorts” are made from a tablecloth! This was a great video. I knit but haven’t really gotten into sewing garments, and you gave me a lot of things to think about - especially the no-waste patterns.
That was so fun to watch ❤ thank you 🙏 can you make a video about your knitted garments too? What have gotten alot of wear? What have you given away that was meant for yourself? What did you wish you never started? And do you knitt garments for youself just for the knitting aktivity or do you knitt becouse you need that garment? And have you ever thrown away a knitted garment that got to old or dident feel good anymore? I'm so queries to what typ of garment you have most of that is knitted 😍 As allways, thank you Ahna for a lovley podcast and hope to hear from you soon sweetheart 🥰🙏
Oooh these are all fantastic questions!! I’m thinking a knit and chat may be in the near future to answer them 😃 Thank you as always!! You’re so sweet!
Loved this video, making my own clothes is something I have always wanted to try and you have certainly given me the inspiration. I just loved the way you reuse material it’s a brilliant idea. Look forward to you making more garments ❤
Hi Ahna, I - like others, came to your channel for knitting content, but your sewing inspired me to pick up new hobby! I´ve got the "Zero Waste Gather Dress by Birgitta Helmersson" book, and so far I did nothing with it... But once I confiscate sewing machine from someone from my family (didn´t make up my mind from whom yet), I´m gonna give sewing a go.. I guess what I am trying to say is.. thank you for your lovely content, have a wonderfull summer and happy knitting! =)
Wow your makes are lovely! Those bags are just what I need to make for my project. Love your videos! Keep up your sewing makes together with your knits, I do both as well!
I really enjoy the sewing content! Right now my favorite pattern is the Bob pants. I’m making a pair in a Merchant and Mills gingham linen - pretty wild for me 😂
Thank you! I bought the pattern about a month ago. I did see they recently pulled the pattern because it didn’t offer a wide enough range of sizes. Hopefully they rework it and offer it for sale again!
That’s a great question! I would say a few different places. Mostly on instagram and Etsy. There are a few other podcasters out there that sew and I get ideas from them as well 😊 also the Fold Line website has a huge selection of patterns from all different companies!

I have the augustina box top cut out ready to be sewn in the exact same fabric! Seeing yours is giving me the confidence to go for it. Looks so cool!
I recommend the built in bra hack by what Bella made for the hallon dress. Not as supportive as a bra in any way, but helps with a bit of coverage
Oh thank you!! This is a great suggestion that I will look into 😃
You’ve created a lovely and thoughtfully planned out wardrobe. I love you are repurposing previously loved fabrics too! Great taste!
Thank you so much!! I sure am enjoying making it all ☺️

Those tops and dresses are great for pregnancy wear as it hides the waistline and allows the tummy to grow.
I’ll bet!
Love all your makes! Curious if you bought the Maynard dress pattern recently?
Thank you! I bought the pattern about a month ago. I did see they recently pulled the pattern because it didn’t offer a wide enough range of sizes. Hopefully they rework it and offer it for sale again!
Where do you search for your sewingpatterns?😊

Destashify is a great place to buy (and sell) patterns and other sewing stuff
I have never traced a pattern. I just cut it right away.
