Thanks Chris!! FWC knew the boat was out there off Hernando during that time period until it grounded off Haulover Bay.......Since Hurricane Helene the boat disappeared and I haven't heard where it eventually landed!!

Thanks!! I reported the vessel to FWC and was aware of the salvage laws.....This grounding was not worth the cost especially with the possible environmental problems.....After Hurricane Helene the vessel disappeared somewhere up the coast!!

MTW Thanks!! This yacht has been abandoned for several months and after these last 2 hurricanes to hit the coast here it's doubtful the boat is still in this area of the Gulf!!

@@mtw1234 Unless the State of Florida declares it a derelict vessel I don't believe I have standing rights to any salvage and if the vessel is still hard aground and has diesel in the tanks the environmental problems could be a potential nightmare......I'll pass!!

Thanks Clifford!! That mated pair of raccoons shows up all the time along with the long legged female wildcat but the cat is always walking thru my yard. I've got a sow black hog that I saw the other night!!

Thanks John!! The lone female wildcat seems to have gotten over the fear of seeing me because she routinely walks thru my yard when I'm outside during the day!!

Thanks Joey!! With my house damage since Helene I haven't checked to see if the yacht is still up in the Refuge.....with the tidal surge we had the critter has probably moved north of the original location.....Appreciate the interest!!

Thanks!! Losing my house to Helene has really set me back but the critters are still knockin' on the back door especially the lone female wildcat......Seeing me doesn't bother her at all!!

I use to troll the East Coast a lot but have given up these trips to enjoy the wealth of fishing here on the Gulf Coast but I still make at least one trip each year to Marathon and unfortunately some years the weather keeps me on the sidelines!! I lost everything in September with Helene and am now just getting back into trying to build a new house to replace the shack.....Maybe in a year my life will get back to normal.....Sea Ya!!

Well the lure ID is the No.17 808 BG Mirrodine.....Black Back....Gold Center and Reddish Belly.....Red eyes and a single Black dot near the gill plate area.....Just went outside to verify the colors!! Speck fishing has really been on the down and out the last few years.....It seems the Refuge is just not the same anymore.....but where can you go that's not eat up with people

October is my favorite month on the water..... the transition to cooler water usually brings all the critters into the skinny water .....Now's the time to put the hammer down Nick!!

Wes. Thanks. Funny thing is I do real good on trout. Not sure why. What retrieval do you use. I just need to tie one on and use it all day. Like I said probably confidence issue. Thank you. Maybe next video show the way you work the lure. Please stay safe and need anything I’m a few miles away.
