Good to see you back on the water again Wes . Pretty shots of the early morning in the beginning . Some good catches . Happy to see you out again doing what you love
@@gregtorrey7679 Finished the contents damage estimate along with the house damage estimate from FEMA now....Had 2 contractors out here last week.....I'll be lucky if I can start construction by the first of the year. and finish by the end of 2025!!.....Not going thru this again!!
Thanks Brandon!! Still dealing with my home destruction so when I can get out I'm using my neighbors ramp....But as far as I know the ramp at the campground is open!!😎
Thanks J!! Parsons Bay in front of the shack went almost dry with 70 mph winds.....Now I get to clean up the TREES.....Life is sure interesting sometimes....LOL!!
Wes. Glad you are ok. Would you share what color you use and retrieval. I have tried several and never catch anything on them. I use other lures with success. Might be a confidence thing. Trout I’m good but never any reds. We had to work for the trout but we got our share of catch and release. I heard you say 808. Is that the black and orange
Thanks Nick!! Well the lure ID is the No.17 808 BG Mirrodine.....Black Back....Gold Center and Reddish Belly.....Red eyes and a single Black dot near the gill plate area.....Just went outside to verify the colors!! Speck fishing has really been on the down and out the last few years.....It seems the Refuge is just not the same anymore.....but where can you go that's not eat up with people
October is my favorite month on the water..... the transition to cooler water usually brings all the critters into the skinny water .....Now's the time to put the hammer down Nick!!
Wes. Thanks. Funny thing is I do real good on trout. Not sure why. What retrieval do you use. I just need to tie one on and use it all day. Like I said probably confidence issue. Thank you. Maybe next video show the way you work the lure. Please stay safe and need anything I’m a few miles away.
🇮🇪 brilliant day out fishing 🎣 🐟
Thanks John!! Good to be back on the salt enjoying what really makes me HAPPY!!

WoW! That’s Tremendously Awesome! 🤩❤️✨
Thanks!! Nothing like catching Redfish at sunrise in the wildlife refuge!!
The colors on those fish look awesome.
Thanks Icy!! I'm already getting my wish.....When I get my Flood Check the turnaround will start to come full circle!!
Plenty of nice scenery. A few good reds roaming the salty jungle..
Thanks Wayn!! The fall cool down has started here so the fish should start chewing around here consistently!!
Solid reds, Wes, Good to see you out there on the water. Fishing can be therapy. Stay safe.
Thanks Dug!! A big check from FEMA and a new stilt house will do wonders for the old mindset.....LOL!!
some great looking fish my friend stay safe 🙏🏽
Thanks John!! I think for my next trip I'll try some fishing during a hurricane.....That should be worth a few views.....LOL!!
Great to see you back on the water.
Thanks Vincent!! It's been a Topsy Turvy last couple of weeks.....But the show must go on.....LOL!!
Nothing like the west coast sunrise..
It would be even better if I were standing on the deck of my new stilt.....LOL!!
@@WesLovelace I hear you .
It’s good to see you back on the water. Hopefully these storms will give you a long enough break to spend some quality time out fishing.
Thanks Rande!! With the loss of my house seems everything will change for at least a year until I can get started in the right direction again!!
Glad the Milton monster didn’t get you! Nice video take care!😊
Thanks Ron.....Milton was a lot of hot air.....I would have rather had that storm take my house and deposit it in 300 feet of Gulf Water.....LOL!!

Nice reds Wes, hope you are well my friend.
Thanks Lou!! It's definitely my last fight with a hurricane.....Life certainly doesn't get any worse than losing a lot of your past!!
Goodonya nice work!!! I hope Milton didn't hit you to hard🤞🤞🤞
Thanks Nathan!! Milton was a lot of wind and no power for 3 days....But everything is back to normal.....Whatever that is down here.....LOL!!
🙂👍
Thanks Peter!! I do enjoy my early morning trips to play with the local Redfish population!!
Hey Wes! Glad your back fishing and safe! Is the Chaz campground boat ramp open right now?
Thanks Brandon!! Still dealing with my home destruction so when I can get out I'm using my neighbors ramp....But as far as I know the ramp at the campground is open!!😎
Really nice Wes! Did the water push out much during the storm, if so, does it mess up your usual spots?
