Thanks Rande!! Debby was pretty tame.....I never had to move all the equipment to higher ground like last year with Hurricane Idalia.....These storms will wear you out mentally.....If I were to have the property destroyed I'd sell and move off the coast to north Florida!!
That's a lot of water and wind from hurricane Debby. Glad it wasn't any worse. We may see a little rain from what is left of this storm. I enjoyed in full to the end. Thank you, my friend.
Thanks Mike!! After 31 years of ownership the No Name or storm of the Century pushed 2 feet of water in the house and it completely required a complete renovation and it was a years before I had access again!! The Tidal Surge then was 11 ft......This storm was about 4 ft. and after being here during 18 other storms the No Name was the worst!! I never moved the boats or my truck.....Plus we had the same amount of water the next afternoon....The price you pay to live on the water!!
Thanks Nick!! Rode out another one.....I certainly don't want to rebuild a stilt.....The Shack has been a great place for a long time......With lots of memories!!

@@WesLovelace I’ve been here since 84 and I think the count for me is 19.. Eliana was the worst as I was on the water back then on stilts in Port Richey. Lost a boat and car and everything under because I was in Virginia on business and my wife and. daughter were evacuated

WOOF!! The Gulf of Lovelace. That water was a little too close for my likin. I bet the ants and bugs had a field day Glad Debbie wasn’t any bigger, slower, or stronger than she was
Thanks Marc!! I've been thru 19 of these storms and only the Storm of the Century caused major damage and fortunately I wasn't here for that one but it took me and my wife a year to get the place back in shape!!
NCIF.....Thanks!! The No Name or Storm of the Century was the big one with 2 feet of water in the house and it took me over a year to get the house back in shape....Hurricane Hermine in 2016 came close to getting in the house.....Just missed by a foot.....If I had another No Name I think I would sell and go inland maybe to Perry!!

Man, that's a lot of water. It must be very stressful seeing the water levels raise and getting closer to the house. One of your neighbors, it looks like the water was right onto the house! The remains of Debby just arrived here ( Montreal region, Canada ) over the night. They are announcing between 120 to 140 mm of rain today! She's definitely leaving her watermark!
