  • Still breaking in the new 25 HP Yamaha 4 stroke so I decided to run the back country in search of Redfish and Snook.....The Redfish have been easy but the Snook have eluded me!! The more I run the motor the better I like it here on the Florida Nature Coast.

Thanks Nick!! Up there late yesterday and finally found the Snookers....Seems the Reds had the upper hand in managing to unhook themselves.....Must be Genetics or something wacky like that.....LOL....How do you avoid 6 4Xhooks in your face.....Fishing is always a great time where ever you manage to wet a line!! With the extended range this motor is producing I'm going to start eyeballin' the River to Mason Creek from down here in Bayport on occasions!!

Hey Wes that 24’ Lady redfish was a real beauty! And even a couple small croakers came to say hello and some trout . That Yamaha has some good juice. You were cruising! Nice sunset at the end! Have fun out there and be safe . Have a great weekend . Like 11 😎

Thanks Ryan!! With the summer almost here it's either on the Salt before Sunrise or fishing into nightfall.....This middle of the day stuff is a waste and miserable to say the least!! I never matters how or what I catch it's all about enjoying the lifestyle that I've managed to create for myself.....Have a great weekend!!

Wes, I love a Yamaha outboard motors. I didn't know they had an electric-start small engine for smaller boats. Nice. Man, those redfish loved smacking that top water lure. Smooth waters to run the Yamaha and skinny boat. Enjoyed a full-watch, Wes. See ya on your next run. Don 👍🏽🤠 04/26/24

Thanks Don!! This is my second and probably my last.....I dropped one on my center console 4 years ago and I have really enjoyed it!! I can't use Tilt and Trim because of the tunnel so I didn't get that.... but that electric start....I had to have that.....LOL!! Have a great weekend!!

Thanks JJ!! The topwater bite is only made possible in the skinny water and water clarity of which there is abundance of both and if you have access to the Chazz during the week you eliminate prying eyes.....My mindset is if I can see you you won't see me the next time you look....I enjoy being a Ghost and the Master of Miss Direction.....LOL.....Have a great weekend!!

Thanks Rande!! This was my second 4 stroke and more than likely my last....The motor I bought 4 years ago only has 200 hours because the offshore seasons are so short and I have the range of about 120 miles and that's not enough distance anymore with the exception of the Keys.....The offshore waters have really changed since I moved here!!

Thanks Lee!! This was a great purchase and my last 4 stroke. Yamaha makes a simple Hour/Tach under cowling add on that tells me the total hours which is showing 10.6. This fuel injection is a bit sensitive but I'm working through that. Fuel consumption is about 10 miles per gallon and I can now get 4 trips on 6 gallons versus 3 from the 2 stroke....And it's reel quiet!!

  • @JAllredFishing
