A few things. 1. You need proper grounding to be able to use both the solar installation and appliances. 2. Assuming that extension from Philips is rated for 16 Amps, you are already overloading it and it won't take long for it to start a fire. 3. There needs to be a breaker box with: - Switch disconnection ( Load disconnector On-Off ) + Surge arrester + Fuzed Load disconnector ) for both the DC line coming from the panels into the inverter - and for the AC line going from the inverter into the house. Followed by a proper fuse panel in the house.

They don't know the law. There are way too many so called architects that are still creating plans that follow specific standards - standards that have been fazed out decades ago...

That little oven is a literal "godsend". Romanians have been cooking in ovens similar to that for centuries. Lots of places around the country were the old folk still know how to cook and bake wonderful recipes - anything from bread to "sarmale" to "plăcinta cu brânza".

You are so absolutely right when it comes to price disclosure. The only way these jobs should be done is: 1. Have a discussion with the owner and/or architect to see exactly what is already planned / taken into account and all the other stuff that was most probably not even considered as a necessity ( either for right now, or in the future ). 2. Plan - draw - inspect - discuss - redraw - inspect - discuss - redraw again if necessary. 3. Each trade should make at least 2 lists of materials: - a list that fits into the available budget, that meats at least the minimum when it comes to safety standards - another list that has all the 'stuff' that's needed to do a proper job. Then discuss the pros and cons of each approach, time it would take to buy and have all the materials delivered on site, time it would take to complete each stage of the build. 4. Materials a purchased by the owner ( beneficiary / client ), and you only pay for the labor part of the equation. The reason this is not done all the time, if at all, is because they do indeed charge you say $50 / Meter of cable/wires, but they buy something cheap ( that's not even up to code ) for under $10 / meter and pocket the rest of the money. The idea behind this is: "The client doesn't know what we used, who cares..."

I would say it primarily varies based on the municipality your apart of - or the new property will be. Comercial buildings are more scrutinized then residential ones. As for residential buildings, house or apartment buildings it depends on a few factors: 1. Level of corruption when it comes to "primarie" and/or "consiliu local". 2. If "te-ai pus in gura cu cineva important" or not... 3. If the company building it is owned by a relative/friend of the mayor or someone else influential, and what relationships he may or may not have in the area - aka if your builder is "well liked and can grease the wheels" then they can do whatever, if not ... well.. 4. Depends on who overseas the build - if he's qualified or not and if he's corrupt or not. 5. Relationships between different crews ( builder - plumber - electrician - architect ) 6. What architect you use, if he uses the same plans for every build or not, if he creates the final plans after the house is finished or before, if he talks with the builder / electrician /plumber / etc. during all the construction stages or not... At the end of the day, it mainly depends on YOU, as the owner. Ask yourself if you want to build a house to live in or sell, a house for the future or not, a house that is well insulated / well built / up to code .. or not. Then chose the companies that will take care of the build from start to finish the way you want it to be done. On a final note: I know from personal experience, most "inspectors" are complete idiots, with no knowledge of the craft, no knowledge of the Building Codes, no idea how to test anything if they were forced to really check. These sort of guys only show up for a white envelope, take the envelope, sign the papers and leave. This also applies to most of the builders, plumbers, electricians etc. It all depends on WHAT YOU WANT.

Hi! I like the fact you're playing with Arduino but tbh for this kind of application with a single relay you'd get there easier and simpler by using a cycle timer. On the other hand, with enough experience on Arduino, you should be able to automate local process in a PLC like style. It just all depends what you're aiming for.

You may expect inspections when you are building (from ITM, Garda de Mediu, Disciplina in Constructii) but it is quite rare, unless there is someone making claims against you or if there are easily visible problems (such as pollution with dust or liquids or a horde of foreign workers walking drunk dead on the streets). Otherwise at the end, when you want to register your house, there is a so called ''reception" from the city council which is rather formal and superficial. This does not mean that you can build irresponsibly. If there is an accident in the house, you can be accused by the prosecutors; if you want to sell the house, make sure that you have the construction papers in order and that there are no obvious vices to the construction, the potential buyers are now days usually in the know and quite picky. Good luck!

I'm from Romania and my dad used to have bees and made honey as a hobby. My favorite honey is from "Salcam" like the one you have on the left side. Pure "salcam" honey will be golden and darker in color like the one on the left, whereas the one in the right seems to be a mix of different flowers (polifloră in Romanian), so the taste and texture will differ greatly. Even tho natural honey crystallizes in time, "salcam" honey will remain smooth for a long time because it takes a longer time before it crystalizes compared to other honeys.

As a Romanian myself - the reason these properties are cheap is because there are no jobs nearby. There are very few WFH opportunities and even so, their numbers are going down. it's nice but there's nothing around. at the opposite side of the spectrum , a house in a booming city where jobs are located ( cluj / bucuresti / iasi / etc ) will set you back several hundreds of thousands of pounds. That's why I came to UK , here for 103k GBP I bought a 3 bed house some 6 years ago, it's inside the city, everything is next to you ( shops , entertainment , food delivery , jobs ) I would have never been able to afford the equivalent in Romania, especially on Romanian wages. It's ridiculous. After 7 years living in Uk, I don't think I will ever return to Romania, regardless of what is offered. But this is as someone who didn't inherited anything, everything I have - I worked for, probably the folks that have their parents' house or living relatives in Romania there is some sort of incentive to go back- not the case for me.

Yes, it's more suited to those with businesses or who can work online and of course ideal if you want to grow your own food and live a healthy life

Usually it's EXTREMELY hard to find someone to do manual labour. I know because I deal with the same issue when it come any work on my home/garden... I would recomend asking someone in the nearby village(if possible) if they know of someone who knows someone who could do that. You definitely needs contacts for such work. That's how it works and even then- not guaranteed they will come. I wish you best of luck! I live way too far away to be able to ask anyone :(

Yes, we should be inspired by big dreams, longtime visions and great innovators. In Romania we have the saying "one flower does not make Spring", meaning only one small change is not enough to alter the course of bigger events, and while I don't fully agree with it, many people here think like this. And indeed you need some "craziness" to continue to excel and inspire others until you get to a critical mass. Best of luck!

You asked him too may times what he was thinking. In fact, this young chap doesn't yet have brain enough to think ))) He is still building castles in the sky and does not understand anything. If his parents didn't sponsor him, probably he would be wiser, but... ))) He will never live in Romania )))
