    A few things.
    1. You need proper grounding to be able to use both the solar installation and appliances.
    2. Assuming that extension from Philips is rated for 16 Amps, you are already overloading it and it won't take long for it to start a fire.
    3. There needs to be a breaker box with:
    - Switch disconnection ( Load disconnector On-Off ) + Surge arrester + Fuzed Load disconnector ) for both the DC line coming from the panels into the inverter - and for the AC line going from the inverter into the house.
    Followed by a proper fuse panel in the house.

      Yes, agree on all, it was set up quickly just to demonstrate the basic idea for the video

    Amazing project. Doing great things for a housing solution for a community looking for sustainable living in rural or even remote România.

    I’ve been following your channel and find it incredibly fascinating! I moved to Romania from the UK a year ago to help my company establish a new branch. During this time, I’ve fallen in love with the country and now I’m eager to stay.
    I'm particularly interested in the property market here, especially in developing small cabins for renting to individuals looking to spend time in the mountains. I wanted to reach out and see if you have any ongoing projects that I could get involved with.
    Looking forward to hearing from you!

    Nice addition to the cabin.
    However, this is a 3.6 kw solar system, from what I understand.
    Anyway, this not important, since is just an indicative figure, for the output in ideal conditions, which are never, or rarely met in field.
    A system is rated, from what I saw till now according to the panels capacity, not the inverter.
    Some will choose a smaller inverter to save money, even they lose some power on peak hours.
    They call that method shaving, since it shaves the peaks.
    Some others prefer a bigger inverter, that I assume will be spared of running at max capacity all the time.
    Plus, they can add more panels later, and have a bigger load in the house.
    For sure you can add 8 more panels. This will come handy in days like this.
    And it looks like they got quite cheap lately.
    It seems quite a good time to get such a system.

      6kw is what you can pull from the inverter with that battery, the panels 3.5kw with direct sun

    Hi, like your channel. When you quote prices on your channel, for example, 25k for a house, what currency is that ? Is it Euros or USD ? For someone living elsewhere in the world, it's difficult to know what you are referring to and make the conversion. Perhaps write it as € 25k or USD 25k. Thanks.

      house prices are typically euros, i'm on email on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com if you need more detailed info.

    What capacity is the battery? How much output can it handle? Is it 48v? What's the specs for the inverter also?
    Thanks

    So why is it so hard for you to provide the details of the system you show in your video?
    What is the '6kW off grid' you are referring too? the inverter power output? Or are you referring to 6kW/h of the battery capacity?

    • @randomromania
      @randomromania  3 місяці тому +1

      It's not hard to provide any details you require just email me on headforthehillsromania@gmail.com and I'll send you more detailed information

      6kw is what you can draw (max) from that inverter with just the battery until the battery discharges

    What battery is thwtas you said its old car batteries??
    Great way to have a shock and fire. Nothing like some protection on each part. At least the battery has a fuse.

    • @randomromania
      @randomromania  3 місяці тому +1

      there are several safety systems built in, lithium batteries are only a fire risk if they are overheated through over charging or shorting, also there are alternative battery options if you're still concerned

    • @guywhoknows
      @guywhoknows 3 місяці тому +1

      @@randomromania yes the battery was the only thing, but 90% of fires are from the PV, which is why it's mandated for AFD and SPD
      Should have an isolator rather than pulling apart connections. Then there is the AC side which is missing a lot.

      @@guywhoknows Yes this is a fair point but we'd never do a proper install without these anyway
