@@cristianpopescu78let me tell you something: English is basically a new Romanian(well a new Latin if you like) so they use the same letters and half the vocabulary is almost identical so add to it that movies(mostly American) are not dubbed but there are Romanian subtitles, lots of English music and nowadays yes, youtube, obviously you will have a decent English speaking culture.
What’s more important though is what’s in their heart, and those hearts were shattered many times and you have an ignorant person who is led to the slaughterhouse by their leaders who are 95% corrupt and bought.
It’s remarkable to see that between them though, they are helpful and believers.
Kind of like Muslims, very God fearing, sad to see their God is a demon. Come to Jesus‼️

I moved from the Netherlands to Romania, in 2018. and since 2019 have permanent residence. It was the best move I made and never regretted it. I live in a small village, with friendly people, rural nature, yet within a 20 min drive you find anything you might need. I am taking care of stray Dogs, something that just happened, as if it was mend to be that these stray dogs show up on my place.
When I started my move, I never intended to start a shelter, but it seemed it was destined to be, so I adapted to the situation, and am currently building and improving this small private shelter.
For me, owning a House with a big barn and at least a few thousant square meters, in the Netherlands, was a impossible dream. Here I found it, after meeting in the Netherlands a proffesor from Cluj, who invited me back then in 2016, to come and visit. By doing so, he changed my live, and I found what I was looking for. I can recommend this country to anyone, who loves to have some freedom, friendly people, and beautiful nature. I wish every expat the best out there. Take care.

@@randomromania I can tell honestly, that I never encountered such a warm welcome as I did here, ; Imagine if you can, I arrived 18december 2018, with a big Truck loaded with all my furniture appliances and Tools, the Snow was Knee deep, I had no snow shovel to clear a path to my house about 30mtrs from the road, and was alone with the truckdriver to unload. But 6 of my neighbors came out, when they saw I struggled, with snowshovels, cleared a path, helped to carry everything inside from the main road where the truck was, to the house. Those people did not know me personaly back then, they just knew a Dutch guy bought the place, yet they all came to help. Needless to say, that to this day, we are still good neighbors. In the Netherlands? You would never had encountered such a kindness and neighborly assistance, out of their own accord. Sad, but True. So yes, I hope my story might inspire others to move to this beautiful country with its underated friendly people. And if you ever like to visit; Google maps, Doggy Day Transylvania. Greetings from Silvio, a very happy expat.

I moved from the UK to Poland and have noticed much the same with attitude. Many people here think they are not doing well in life and that the west is a land of milk and honey. In reality they live far better than I did in the UK on a total house income of £40k per year. I could barely afford a one bed house in a poor area.
My wife is Polish and when we tell people in Poland about the reality of the UK now their jaws drop and they stop complaining so much.

The UK is great and comes with amazing history and personalities which I will always admire, but the modern times transformed it greatly, and as you said, the life in România is much simpler and quiet, which makes it more worth living. One of our national poets had a saying, "The eternity was born in a village ", which you can comprehend once you live in the village for a while.

I wasn't running from anything or anyone in Romania, I just wanted a change, my partner and me, work wise is much better for us than Romania, both being engineers. We can't tell if we will ever come back, or probably just to visit family and friends. Life is how you make it, and how you design it and what people you're having around you. We have homes and significant size land in romania but at the minute we have no plans for it. We have a small dream, we both love bees and a business we would like to have is a beekeeping one. Who knows..

had about the same amount of land like the one towards the end of the vid, sold it with only 12k euros... i couldnt find a buyer so i had to cut the price more then double. and the land is good for agriculture. Its amazing how cheap the land is in some zones of the country. if you are a foreigner with some good money saved and look for a nice peaceful retirement Romania is the place for you.

If the seller does his homework, buying a property should take 2 days. But on countryside mainly, people don't pay too much attention on this till they decide to sell. In case it's an inherited property of course it's a process all entitled are invited to state their claims according to the law. That's why it took 9 months. Normally, you need to have your property document, one which shows the exact limits measured with a satelite system and the day before buying the public notary will ask from the Judge office a document valid for 24 hours showing the seller hasn't already solded to someone else the day before. So it's quite simple and safe.
As for your food needs, build a greenhouse or a solarium no bigger than 50 sqm. You'll make enough to donate to your relatives and it all will be bio. All in all, give your self time and you'll be happy in Romania.

    • @danielmogos8990
      @danielmogos8990 8 місяців тому

Well not really. If you want to buy intravilan land, then yes, that is easy. If you want to buy agricultural land, there are some procedures which involves the town hall making public the selling offer, and expecting the other individuals that have the primary right to acquire it. If it is a good price, those that have the right to acquire it will screw your plan, and you will have to pay them so that they do not bid on the land. This will take a few months.
The good news is that, if you already have a land, then you have the primary right to acquire the land of your neighbors, if they decide to sell. Therefore you can extend your land, and you have 100% chances to buy the land without having the extra pay.

That is because the Romanian words are made with the letters E, Ă, Z And Ț which this ones are letters of smiling . When you pronounce this letters you smile and the way the Romanian language is made is that 99% of our words finishing in the vocals E and Ă And that means you always end up a word in a smile thanks to this letters . English on the others side doesn’t have this letters Bcz E you only write in most cases but never say this letter so the smile is gone . Plus , we all need to know this aspects of Romanian language so everyone can stay in a good mood . Living here can be frustrating when it comes to basic things that is expected in return of paying your taxes like the local council providing street lights, cleaning of branches for public roads so garbage can be collected by trucks and not encourage to burn it or dump it in the country side like many locals do, not to have to pay.
..other then these things life is nice and you get value for money but with some sacrifices.

9 months is ok. I am a Romanian who lives in London and we applied for planning permission to have an extra toilet in the flat and it took us about 6 months. It’s worth waiting for something you really want.

Welldone and wellcome! Romanian life are hard but good. Land is nice and offer you a lot. But you must known his secret. like example,if this year you grow green been, next year try another vegetable. I dont known better eng to explain

you describe a concept known in english as crop rotation and i'd posit that life is hard in romania if you don't have a decent income otherwise it seems great, certainly way safer and more peaceful than most western countries now

I came in UK to make some money, then i realized you guys basically have no life here..unless you are born rich!
Life here is hectic and rushed, and to be honest i will never settle down in UK, me and my English wife will go back to my homeland and have a relaxed easy life !

@weldmaster1825 you started off wrong with your initial goal. Imagine, if you would have emigrated with the intention to also integrate, the raising money goal wouldn’t take you back to Romania. Now that being said, well done, settle where you feel at home ;) #rezist

@@randomromania I agree with the idea of not quite true :)
Because all is a matter of perspective.
      I quote from the video
-what do you like here?- people, they are so friendly.. and later on... you know.. road rage... but once you get used to it...
-what you hate more about UK?-solicitors... and then later comes the same truth that is here... paperwork. so he run away from devil and meets devils mother:))
-what is the problem in UK? I was such an workaholic, here I am poorer but happier. Hmmm, you cannot be poor and happy in UK?
For me both countries are the similar, obviously with some particularities.
For example I am impressed by the canals. And those finger boats. If you fit one with solar panels.... such a calm life.
And do not forget about the safety net. Give to any of us the income provided by a house in UK, and we will be living very happy here :)
But at least you steered it right in the end. Romanians do not know what they got... Nor the brits.
Well, I know very well what I have got. With good and bad. And I got used to it :)
