Can you please tell me how to find out a products worth? There is so much I have that I am unable to find for sale anywhere. Everything is 30 years old and the companies are no longer in business. Thank you!

AI makes me profoundly uncomfortable. A lot of what I've seen and heard is not perfectly realistic yet -- but some of it could pass for authentic already and I expect that it will continue to improve. I don't like the feeling that the audience may be tricked into thinking that they are hearing the celebrity speak when they are not and I don't like the exploitation.

I’m very much against it, and find it disturbing as well. It’s not loving or connecting to Judy, it’s connecting to something that isn’t Judy, it’s connecting to something that just sounds like Judy, something pretending to be her, which takes something that is sacred and unique to Judy. It goes from experiencing something genuine and real to something so far removed from reality. It’s not like impersonation or tributes. Makes me feel pretty sad. Judy’s voice shouldn’t be for any one else to wield but her.

According to the Judy Garland Museum they wanted to keep the Slippers in a safe every night to prevent theft. The owner did not want them touched however so the safe was not used. Perhaps if the museum owns them they can keep them in a safe at night to prevent theft from happening again.

I think the Smithsonian should purchase them and re-mate them with their correct pairing. Then they could have an extended lifespan by switching them out over the next 100 years.

This is one of my favorite sets (and as a pink/purple fan, I do like that color scheme on Glinda, as inaccurate as it is)! My two quibbles are that Glinda seems to be the one with the least thought in her, and that, at some angles, Dorothy sometimes looks like she’s lost her head

I find pieces about 6" tall about the best size to display -- large enough to be seen but not so big that they take up too much space. This is a nice set for the price.

I think they belong in a museum because a lot more people will get an opportunity to see them there than in a private collection. Since the Judy Garland Museum has already been robbed once, they would probably be much more careful than they were before but they can't be the only option. 🤔They probably don't have the required cash but Baum was living in Chicago when he wrote TWWoO so how about Chicago's new American Writers Museum?

What will people be able to find out about us in 100 years? Not much. Books and letters can be accessed without using any hardware or software but electronic media can't. For example, wire recordings were used from 1898 up to the early 1970's but how many people have a Minifon to play back audio wire recordings today? In 2124 I don't think anyone will be able to access anything we post on social media in 2024

I sure hope social media isnt around in 100 years. UA-cam is the only social media I use anymore. I took my entire project off Facebook and Instagram. I listened to the Concert Etude 38 and can't deny that there is a similarity. I'm also guilty of thinking I've come up with an original name for a character, only to read or hear it later on and realize I got it from an external source, so I definitely can't throw stones.

I'd really love to see a series of Oz films that actually followed Baum's books. I want to see China Town, Jack Pumpkinhead, the Saw Horse, the Hungry Tiger, Billina, Ozma, etc.

So... is this thing still a go? We're three years later and it's still only confirmed.

This is so amazing! Thank you for spending your money on such a RARE item, not to mention uploading it for all who love The Land of Oz! This is my favorite movie of all time! For preservation purposes, you should really get someone to do a digital restoration and upload of this. I know there is a way to rip the sound off a record, and digitize it, making it sound really clean.

Yeah. I kind of think that if that really was a hanging munckin in that scene, giving that the actors were looking and walking towards it in the scene, I think they would've freaked out in that scene and would have to retake it.

6:35 Yes, it does make sense because something can be rare and something can be scarce, some things can be rare without being scarce or scarce without being rare, but some things can be both rare AND scarce. 🤩
