I’m very much against it, and find it disturbing as well. It’s not loving or connecting to Judy, it’s connecting to something that isn’t Judy, it’s connecting to something that just sounds like Judy, something pretending to be her, which takes something that is sacred and unique to Judy. It goes from experiencing something genuine and real to something so far removed from reality. It’s not like impersonation or tributes. Makes me feel pretty sad. Judy’s voice shouldn’t be for any one else to wield but her.
Judy had a human soul so whatever we are offered in the coming months and years cannot ever really be her. The actual soul of Judy would be totally missing. To quote Judy in her own words, - "Always be a first rate version of yourself and not a second rate version of someone else". I rest my case.
AI makes me profoundly uncomfortable. A lot of what I've seen and heard is not perfectly realistic yet -- but some of it could pass for authentic already and I expect that it will continue to improve. I don't like the feeling that the audience may be tricked into thinking that they are hearing the celebrity speak when they are not and I don't like the exploitation.
Me too. It's concerning that a voice could be replicated in the future without the person's consent to say anything. I don't like the direction AI has taken at all.
I heard an AI of Lucy & Desi from "I LOVE LUCY" and it is just too "TWILIGHT ZONE" creepy and weird!! The endless exploitation of JUDY GARLAND does get tiresome, doesn't it? Equally strange is that her Estate (her daughters and son) seem to be-- and I stress "seem" to be endorsing this.
That endorsement to use Judy's voice via AI WILL NOT be coming from Liza Minnelli herself. It will be coming from Michael Feinstein, who is currently exploiting Liza at any given opportunity. Liza has serious dementia issues at the moment, and Michael Feinstein appears to be capitalizing on that fact. He rolls her out at the drop of a hat for all kinds of events, even though she can no longer walk. Its just terrible.. Liza is too fragile to realize she is being exploited.
If Feinstein is doing this to Liza, the situation is BEYOND tragic and unconscionable. I find it hard to believe that Liza-- or any member of Judy's family-- would endorse this.
Don’t know if you heard the sample, but it is a far cry from the purity of Judy Garland’s melodic speaking voice. Thanks for all you do.
I did listen to the clip, and it is one of the weirdest and most off-putting things I've ever heard.

I agree. Impersonators sound far superior than this AI hollow clone of Judy.
Ai is so creepy I don’t think they should Judy Garlands voice at all respect her let’s not exploit her like this she is dead
