I am so happy that you didn't drag out the conclusion of the theft like so many other sites would have done. I am sorry the thief wasn't someone we know, and its sad that he was so clueless to not realize they were more valuable that real rubies. But they are safely returned and thats the important part.
I suppose when a movie becomes such an integral part of culture, myths spread. The rumours that Baum only wrote the first book to make a political point or that a munchkin committed suicide on the set and was filmed are totally baffling!! What’s more unbelievable is that people are so obsessed with it and can’t be persuaded. It’s surprising that people don’t think that Bert Lahr was an actual talking lion! Good video, keep up the good work👍 Archie
OMG! Archie! So nice to hear from you! I literally had a conversation this past week with a new coworker who completely believed in the hanging munchkin myth and was determined I was wrong. The hilarious part of the conversation was they mentioned that it was on the "original VHS release". So I said, "ok, prove it!" I then had to educate them on the history of _The Wizard of Oz_ on VHS. That was a pretty funny conversation, because this coworker thought that VHS was available to the general public decades before they ever were...
Well, after the success of _Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs_ , Disney was going to make an animated film of _The Wizard of Oz_ but couldn't because MGM had already bought the rights to make the 1939 film! So, maybe in an alternate universe it happened...

Thanks! I wanted to "get to the point" as quickly as possible with this video.
I am happy the court showed him compassion. I'm also excited about the potential of getting the BEST murdered free documentary ever.😅
I'm glad you're enjoying this mini doc! I never thought I'd ever cover something like this, but here we are!

@@LAQuadlingTrust me, people in the UK are even worse on this subject! 😂
I’m glad they still exist 👠👠
After finding out the truth, I'm shocked they still do!
Why wouldn't you steal them, just for the sniffing fettish element. 😆
What if Disney had made the wizard of oz instead
Maybe there'd be a lot less Qanon cray crays in the fandom...😂
