I still like the Ikon pair as well (they did come with a display case, so they definitely have a one up on the Paragon pair). I'm still in shock I was able to find the third "vintage" pair for an affordable price.
I love your videos I have been watching your channel for years. I love the Wizard of Oz just like you and I hope someday I’ll have a big as collection as you stay you
Thank you so much! It's been quite a journey for me here on UA-cam. Thanks for watching the videos. I never could have imaged my _Wizard of Oz_ collection would grow to the -absolutely crazy- size it is today (compared to what it was when I was young).
I honestly don't know. I believe (don't quote me on this...) Randy Struthers Ruby Slippers are made from custom burgundy sequins that he orders for his replicas. I have heard from other replica makers that they dye the sequins to create the color, but I've never seen this process done myself.
I agree with you about the Ikon pair vs. the Paragon one. Did the "Yellow Brick Road" edition also have the beige inside? Can't remember off hand. I cut a section out of the video where I showed how loud the heels were on those 1930s pair. I can totally see why they added felt to the bottom of the pairs if they were as loud as this pair.
@LAQuadling the yellow brick road pair did have the beige color. I only acquired the witch's shoes. The Ikon pair are not perfect, but they are officially licensed and look great as a pair of ruby slippers. The vintage pair you have are PERFECT. Those look so great.
@@chestyvulva I thought they did, but I couldn't remember! As I said in the video, the new pair(s) do look great in a _Wizard of Oz_ collection. There is no denying what those shoes are... the Ruby Slippers!
Love this update... I thought I was having dejavu.. you doubled up the opening of the video lol
Lol! Thanks for the comment.
That was a great comparison, thank you! I have the Ikon pair, but nothing truly beats a vintage 1930's pair, I'm so glad you found them!

I haven't read a comment say, "I can't wait, forever to get those shoes."
I know a Randy Struthers slipper when I see one
Jeff legacy!?!?
I was going to say the same thing… is that not a Randy pair?!
Those Legace shoes omg..........wannnnnnt!!!!!
I wish he was still making his replicas, as they are _very_ nice!!!
i need me a pair
My oz spin-off series is going to have to wait for some time
Well that's too bad!
But ones I finish all the books I want to right then I wall do the oz spin-off series okay
i love my ikon ruby slippers i have both replicas
Really cool! Do you have they displayed next to each other? I thought about getting the second release, but I didn't in the end.
@@LAQuadling yes
where does one find burgundy red sequines

Those Ikon ones still look pretty good. The other pair with the white look awful.
