The ice cream man stretch lick is the hardest I have ever learned. I think linch did a version of the lick. And so did Dime bag. And the stretch I can manage and the speed I can manage. It's like this song. Getting into and out of the lick cleanly is murder. It took me forever to learn.

Great cover and channel! Keep it up! Tone and playing is spot on. No matter how hard we as guitar players try to replicate Eddie's playing its true the tone is in the hands.

First half of the solo was in the wrong position, you can tell he’s playing it on thicker strings. And the speed picking bit he’s going up the neck on one string, that’s trademark. He doesn’t play it like a conventional scale changing strings the way you’re doing it here. Hard to fault the rest. You’re also upstroking the chords which 90% of people doing covers miss.

Eddie Van Halen is head and shoulders above everyone. He revolutionized guitar playing. Nothing before sounded even close before the debut VH album. After that it opened up the flood gates to endless imitations. His tone!

I think this music is so hard difficulty to play... Probably one then more Van Halen's songs. Congrats!

I’m sure Satch does a great job replicating, but Vai is the only HUMAN that could write guitar like Eddie could. I got to seem him live a couple months ago and he’s still crazy skilled at 64!

holy crap man, this tone is really close to the actual song, but an insignificant amount, your playing doesn’t sound like Ed because of your tone, it’s your playing.

Fantastic cover of a fantastic song. I've never heard this played on UK radio...even Rock stations. If they did, then more people would appreciate Ed as a lot of people I know just thought he was a poser and don't understand that that's just how he played.
