Thanks to Van Halen for writing this great song and thanks to Eddie for inspiring guitarists around the world.
Every time I hear this song I think of Helen Hunt in a thin white t-shirt with a slight chill in the air.
She was a beauty.
Killer tone, RIP King Edward and Bill Paxton.
The sign on the wall above and behind you says it all. It 100% shows in the way you approach the guitar. If a piece of music doesn’t illicit an emotional response, then what’s the point?!
Awesome playing, man! 👍🏻😎
Well said and thanks! This is why I don't like just technical guitar playing. It takes so much time to get to a point where you can play and convey your emotion. I have just now started to get to this point but I have so much further to go. Meaning what you play is the most important thing for sure.
Thanks so much for all of your hard work! You should have a million subscribers! Seeing you play up close gives us a glimpse into how otherworldly King Edward’s creativity and skill was. Thanks again!!!
Thank you Tom! I glad you find these useful.
great mix and guitar tone - this is a good one to practice to- Thanks 👍
Thank you too for listening!
This is awesome! Spot on!
Thank you!
Well done!!!! 😎 I will try copy some riffssss! 🙂🤘👍
Thanks! Yes, help keep this great music alive.
Great video and playing. Have you thought about some live covers? Like, I'm sure most of us would love to see the solo from Live Without a Net, and maybe one from the 90s tours. And Poundcake!
Thanks! A good friend has been wanting me to do the live without a net solo. I might have to learn that one again.
Bad ass riff
I like the Factoids you put in your videos. I used to watch a show in Canada that would play regular Music Videos and there would be a little speech bubble or hard sub with Facts about the band or the video it self. I can't remember the name of it. one of my favourite Eddie solos. There is a sequel to this movie coming out it would be cool if Wolfie was on the OST. Cheers from Toronto 🍺🇨🇦
Glad you find the text helpful! The idea is from a show called VH1 Popup Videos from the 90s.
@@TheRetroGuitarist OMG that was the show! Thanks again. if you're a fan of Eddie check out the channel Mean Street Guitars a Luthier that makes EvH inspired builds.
Soooooo Gooooooood ! Thanks for your job !
Glad you like it!
I like how there was a little less bite in the sound than most people do, so you can hear the textures.....well done
Thanks Michael! I try to get as close to the recording as I can.
🤘😎🤘
Your doing some amazing stuff and great tunes. Please continue!!
Thank you! Will do!
Thanks for the lesson
My pleasure!
And another one that’s better without the vocals. Killer job like always!
Thanks Bryan!
Great job! I’m working on this song to do my own cover
Thanks! Go for it. As many people that can play this stuff to remind everyone how great Eddie was is never a bad idea!
I think Ed was using 5150's at the time as well his studio full of marshals and Soldanos. All very similar. Depending on humidity and his mood for the day. Or his ears. Sinuses. Allergies. Blood pressure up in the studio! lol
Yea, exactly! Who knows what he was using on some of these songs.
いつも楽しそうでいいね🤣🤣🤣
Yes it is!
If someone was asking me to bet money, I'd guess this was an early Peavey 5150 just based on the year, or maybe even one of his SLO-100's....but that's just me going with my ear.
Maybe but it just has that bite to it that the Peavy and SLO doesn't.
Sounds absolutely killer!
You’re using a Kemper. May I ask what profile you’re using?
Thanks!

@@TheRetroGuitarist It’s a profile of a Marshall? I always thought Humans B was recorded using the 5150. At least the lead parts or do you kick in an overdrive pedal for those parts?
Eventide detune -9 cents on right side?
Your sound is really spot on!
Yes, Marshall all the way for me! It might have been recorded on the 5150 but I hear that Marshall in there. I use the same profile with no changes throughout the entire song. Just volume knob changes and a little touch.
It was +9 cents on the right side with the Eventide Micropitch and some reverb. Nothing on the left but a tiny bit of reverb.
you got it my guy .. sounds just like the recording
Thanks!
@@TheRetroGuitarist lesson for us noobs next ? lol
I might try the lesson thing again but in the past the videos got very little play. That discouraged me from going in that direction.
