I'm baaack and i'm balder. After dry detangling my hair months ago, getting a silk press and discovering the "invisible damage" (i like to call it) that was hiding throughout the length of my natural hair, I decided to cut it off! With the constat product testing (even when my scalp was against it), over-shampooing, tool testing, cooking my hair under the dryer etc, etc, etc...i'm starting over...

Hair is POPPING‼️
First of all, I just watched your Pattern Viedo from 1 YEAR AGO & fell in love with the Cut, the Honesty, the Natural video & OMG the honest!! I'm having issues with my hair drying out within an hour, but after watching only 1 video, I'm making some changes. I'm a short hair person, too. Thank you so much. You are truly inspiring for "the real" natural hair females. No Shade to anyone out there 😁
I actually tweeze my entire upper lip 😂 This seems so much faster but never bothered to look up how to get it done
I really like Olaplex ❤❤❤
I appreciate your mentioning the smell or the scent most Camille Rose product have strong smell each one I have tried for natural long curls seriously made me ill triggering my allergies thank you very much for talking about the overpowering scent ❤❤
better frizz than mouse jheri curl
mouuse freeze jerhi curl
Internally probiotics help control yeast production and flax Seed oil capsules will help to promote healthy sebum production so it will flow instead of becoming sticky.
Bri your hair is fire!! beautiful!!!
OMG wet results 😍!
I use the whole Design Essentials line. It’s amazing!!!
The curl refresh is great as well❤
I tried pattern clarifying shampoo and deep conditioner and it was so moisturizing.
You mentioned not wanting to do your hair. 3:12 I notice you do lots of sectioning and many many steps. After taking care of (big chopping) the over-manipulated ends, I would consider simplifying your routine, and reconsider that stretching and over sectioning is a lot for your collective hair strands. I also found that slowing down when Detangling also minimizes breakage. Also, layering products sparingly so they don't irritate the scalp. I hope this helps 😢
Hey there. Hope you are doing great. Have you ever tried styling your hair with just a butter? Or even a butter cream? I've been loving the look and feel of my hair using mango butter. I'm still working on my application though. ( how wet my hair should be, section 1st or just apply all over then smooth in sections? Etc)
I have. Years ago I used to only use butter and cream products, and when I wanted to try and get more definition I would dabble in custards, but with all of the product testing and experimenting I’ve done over the past three years, I’ve almost done a complete 360 back to mainly creams and even using conditioners as leave in again. I don’t use raw butters or anything like that but I do use formulated products because they have a lot of slip and in order for me to prevent single strand knots my hair needs to have slip 24/7 in every step of my regimen. I still like styling my hair on soaking wet hair personally. Even when I’m just using a conditioner as a styling product, I will section my hair in four sections and make sure that each section is heavily saturated in water and conditioner. if I style my hair all over at the same time it’s doable but it’s more prone to tangles and knotting, but that’s just me personally.
How is rhe product combo working for you , are you still loving it or using something different?
I’m still loving it. It’s a staple combo of mine. Working on a video that will have updates here soon.
still works on 2024?
Thank you👌👍🙏🏼😇💯🌹
I also air dry my hair
Shampoo will dry your hair out every day.
You can’t spray your with water and the curls pop back, I spray my hair in the morning and twist in satin bands at night.
I paired it with the styling foam and it still flaked
The Mielle mousse snapped my hair completely off! I have a great hair care regimen and after using this for about 3 years I found this to be the culprit
I used to be heavy on product also. But now I use more water. I can't lie. I did a wash and go with the recoil and mousse...I felt like it would be define and shiny but wouldn't last so I added a little gel on top of the mousse. Innersense create hold.
Try use the banding method at night
Gorgeous curls
I MISS YOU BRIANA . Would love to see you back on my feed !!!
I dont have the miracle solution, but I do think and feel that it not supposed to be complicated. At this time, we have a lot of informations, scientific, technical terms and a lot of methods and choices of products regarding textured hair. One could think that surely this is enough but no, because for a lot people, their hair can still be difficult to manage and to take care of. I don't think looking and searching again for more infos, more products will be the solution. But to be more simple, going back to the basics needs of textured hair ( hydration and nourishment /moisture/ oils), to be consistent and patient. English is not my first language so I apologize in advance for mistakes or misunderstandings.
Which do you prefer, the As I am Curling Jelly or the Kinky Curly Custard?
The kinky curly custard is made favorite of the two.
I’m sure it works but I HATED the smell of it. It smells like old lady, but bad or like rotting seaweed, or cheap babydoll lotion. I couldn’t handle the smell. For reference, I LOVE the smell of fable and mane hair oil, the detox shampoo from ouai, I really like the smell of the UFD, and I think the Pattern leave in conditioner smells really good too.
Detoxing the hair strands with a good mud mask is also vital to the natural hair maintenance process. Do check out 12Twelves line. Highly recommend mud mask.
Never seen those beautiful hair ever.
Your eyebrows are beautiful 😍
I totally agree with you.... olaplex has changed my hair in the most amazing way!!
Hey curl sister, I just purchased the lg conditioner bottle from Marshall’s. I think your hair looks great. I love the shampoo and salve and feather light protein. I enjoyed your review.
We miss u
I noticed a difference when I got my wash routine mastered. My products applied so much better and the moisture lasts without refreshing. More moisture made it more pliable, so I don't have to manipulate it as much and don't need to use my pick to style it or fluff it back into place. I was having serious breakage issues that I could never fix and now my hair is so full. I can go two weeks now between wash and gos. I'm 4C and my hair is about 4-5 inches when pulled out.
You have a beautiful speaking voice.
I just tried this protein tx a couple of days ago. I think my hair was damaged because I clarified it too much?! The back of my hair was hard and dry. I applied ~ a dime sized amount to each of the four sections and this really revived my hair. Thank GOD! 🙏🏾❤️☺️☀️
I love a good short haircut! I have so many women askingme who cut my hair! Shout out to those of us who rock our short natural cuts!❤
I used a leave in and my hair was still hard and crunchy. I'm starting to believe that most of these products just suck.
I only detangle with my unbrush in the pre poo and deep conditioning stage. I do need to part my hair better because I get a little breakage in my crown so this was helpful
@BrittanyMia It was the brush that interfered with the clumping, causing hair to frizz. See the difference in curls in the bck lower b4 using the smaller brush. Trust me, I've done it enough to figure it out.
Are you still doing co washes now? I’ve done cowashes before, but I tend to do it more so if I want to rejuvenate or if I’m tired.
Not really. I’ve just been shampooing almost every day. I found that co washing with a regular conditioner was just adding buildup to my hair, which was turn adding buildup to my scalp, making it itch and irritating my dermatitis. Now, I use moisturizing shampoo or even co wash cleansers in the morning to clean my scalp and then do a double shampoo on the weekend and deep condition. I still condition my hair after I shampoo it during the week as well. I’m just style with a cream or just a leave in conditioner.
@@BrittanyMia do you see any benefits of washing your hair every day? Or often during the week?
@@nickiawalker645 I do. at first I thought it would dry my hair out, but I’m finding that it’s helping me keep my hair detangled and moisturized. But most importantly, it’s keeping my scalp clean. I haven’t been doing this for very long so I can’t say for sure what it is, but all I know is that my dermatitis isn’t flaring up and the sensitivity that I felt on my scalp is going away. To dry it quickly I plop my hair while I get dressed for work and then I diffuse it for 15 minutes. I always use a leave in product with heat protectant in it since I diffuse my hair. I can’t air dry because I need my scalp to dry so I don’t get a flareup. I need to make a video on this but only time will tell how this goes.
@@BrittanyMia thanks for sharing. I’m on this journey of washing frequently as I keep my psoriasis under control and have noticed improvements. I’m nervous but my dermatologist said 2x/week is ideal.
@@nickiawalker645 you are welcome. let me know how it works out!
You may have used too much. They’re products require last products.
Im super late to the party lol but have shoulder length 4a curls with mild heat damage so curl pattern is not uniform, although it has gotten significantly better as I continue to use wash & go's. What has worked for me is the unbrush along with a diffuser. The denman was the first tool that worked for curl definition however the dried results weren't great. The unbrush for some reason enhances (brings out/intensifies) my curl pattern while also SIGNIFICANTLY lessening any loss of hair through the detangling process. Im not sure what my hair's porosity is, i just know that detangling used to be a constant struggle because we have hard water and/or I just have hair that's difficult to detangle. The brush resolved that & an added bonus was curl definition & uniformity (about 80% of curls look same pattern now). Currently using Design Essentials Agave shampoo & conditioner (though im neutral on how effective that combo actually is). I use Miss Jessies leave-in condish (yellow tube) while still in shower, hair soaking wet. I only use the unbrush with conditioner & leave-in conditioner. I apply oil right after (this is now styling outside of shower), then Aunt jackies cream knot on my watch (constantly spraying hair with water to keep soaked) then I brush through again with unbrush. Lastly I apply as i am curling jelly because those flaxseed styling products work absolute wonders on my texture. I unbrush through. Spray with aunt jackies oh so strong biotin honey moisturizer...then diffuse about 80% & let air dry. The dried results get compliments, although i believe it can be better & will get there if i just trust the process & continue to wash & go. I have to say the brush & diffuser made the most difference in outcome. Many curly girls finished results are far better than mine, but i was someone who flat ironed for YEARS. I don't have any relaxer/keratin type chemicals but I do color (gray coverage) about 3x a year. Just wanted to share in case there's anyone else in the tiny same boat as me 😂
Yes I love the shape and cut. Very pretty.
I'm a natural girl also, and have been for many, many years. My style is the twist out, l wash and style my hair once for the week. I twist at night to avoid frizz, and if I need to apply twisting cream on Wednesday if it feels dry.
I had the same problem when I used the mielle leave in and the custard together.
