Hey, what a great video. Thank you. I would not care about the fretboard inlays. But the blue one sounds a bit clearer. She might be better for stage use, because she seems to pass a bit easier over the upright bass and seems to be a bit more present in a band context. The tombstone inlets were used already in some Gretsch models in the early years, so I would never care about the inlet style ;)

I have a lightning wrapbar on my LP Special and its tilted as well, not a problem i think but I am very curious to tone differences between a lightning and a conventional more rounded bar. I would expect a sweeter tone on a rounded bar but happy to hear some of your experiences

The "lightening " bridge on my Epiphone Les Paul SL has the same problem & the post retainers are pulling out of the body. I bought a replacement from Amazon with individual string intonation. It makes the action much higher & is still sloppy on the posts. ( Also posts are sloppy in the body inserts ) This is going to need lots of tlc to make it a decent playing guitar. Made in USA doesn't mean what it did in the past.

I didn’t see you check for a properly cut nut. Did I miss that? If it’s not properly cut, you could have serious intonation and chording issues.

That Strat came out sweet! Great demo and glad you like the AMI pickups. The JWFB pickups are by far my most requested pickups builds!

Makes me want to change out by bridge from vintage brass to individual string adjustments.

Guitar shop will charge you about $50 for the 15 minutes it takes to do this.

I have a 2001 single cut, dog-ear Junior. Lightning Bolt bridge has a little "play" in it. Could of been tighter, but still works..

I have the same problem with the sloppy feeling Stud bridge on my new Gibson LP Special. I have two Epiphone "Inspired By" versions and they have tight fitting studs. I plan on ordering some stud bolts that tighten for the Gibson, but you should have to do that on an $1800 guitar. My Gibson version weighs over 9 pounds too. I had previously bought one that was only 7 pounds 2 ounces. I sent it back because the wood in the body was badly mis-matched and it looked awful. All in all, I went through testing 9 Gibsons before I found my current one. I bought it because it felt the best with a thicker neck and good frets. All of the other ones I tried had been Pleked until they felt like the old "Fretless Wonders". No excuse for that other than having lazy or untrained operators of the Plek machine. It feels awful when your fingertips rub so much when you do any string bending at all. As it is now, one of my Epiphones is my favorite Special to play. It just feels better and the P-90s even sound better. I thought Gibson was getting their sh*t together, but they seem to have come a long way to make the guitars look better while ignoring the overall playability issues...!

I have more than eighty guitars. Each time I go to the “vault” to work out with a different guitar, I’d practically go broke taking each guitar for a pro setup. I’m not pro yet at servicing my guitars, but thanks to your video, I’m saving some righteous cash. THANKS!!!

I cannot thank you enough. No wonder this Strat was in such clean condition but for sale for such a good price, all the guy needed to do was follow this video. Looks like I beat him to it. First Strat, and probably not my last now.

5427 is a limited run edition and only had a fixed number made according to GC when I was there this week. Beautiful Guitar!! Video and pics do no justice to how it looks. Sounds awesome through an Orange Amp.

I've used this strings for a month now and it's just fine, they sound worse than normal strings and feel worse aswell, but not that much, if you like or need color it's worth it, but not for having it for a long time, just for some video or show, colors look great irl

Music city bridge sell an adjustable stud that tightens down on the wraparound tailpiece and stops that tilt. They also sell a compensated bridge, called the stud finder, which works great for older model. Les Paul Junior’s look them up on UA-cam.

Just bought a new Player Series Strat, used your video to set it up. Everything went well including a slight truss rod adjustment (strings were a bit high). Thank you for making this video. 😎👍

9s are perfectly fine for everything on a Strat until you need to get into Drop C and lower, then it gets a little slinky
