Installing a 5 string set of DR Neon Pink color coated bass guitar strings on a new Sire Gen 2 V7 active jazz bass. Bass clips were recorded direct with a touch of compression from a Diamond BCP1 Bass Compressor. The DR neon coated strings are nickel played steel roundwounds and offered in a bunch of cool colors. The coating affects the tone of the strings, but it also affects the feel, and after trying them I still prefer the DR Fat Beam set, which is my favorite round wound string for bass.

Such a good dad! Way to go!!! I bet your daughter loved the colour matching strings to her bass!
Thanks Julia. She loves the bass and the strings!
I'm not fan of colored strings but I like their sound seems really good for EQ and in mix.
They do sound good. I'm going to do a follow up video showing how they have held up over the past six months. They have been used extensively for practice, rehearsals, and gigging. Thanks for the comment.
Just ordered a set of the DR Pink 6 string for my Tokai. Can't wait.
They seem to be holding up pretty well. I think I'm going to do a follow up video now that they have a few months of age on them.
@@hoganshideout Nice to hear. Looking out for that one.
