Sire 2nd Generation V7 5 String Jazz Bass Unboxing

- Unboxing a brand new second generation Marcus Miller Sire V7 5 string jazz bass guitar in metallic burgundy and my first impression. This V7 features an alder body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, three band active electronics preamp and EQ with sweepable mids, an active passive switch, and a passive tone control. Marcus, who is most closely associated with his beloved 1977 Fender Jazz Bass, heavenly modified by Roger Sadowsky, teamed up with Sire Guitars in 2015 to help create his line of signature basses. This is a great active jazz bass and a great alternative for people looking at something like the new Fender Player Plus Series.

Very nice bass!!
Thanks, it's a very cool bass!
Nice!!
Hey thanks for watching!
Excellent value for money these. I went to buy my first fiver on Saturday, comparing this to the, admittedly more expensive, Charvel Pro-Mod San Dimas V. I liked both but bought the Charvel. No sharp fret edges on the shop demo model but I wasn't too keen on the headstock, which looks like a Roman nose from an Asterix cartoon. Sounded fine though.
We need more bass reviews online so keep up the good work.
Did you go with the JJ or PJ Dimas? Thanks for the feedback and support William.
@@hoganshideout I picked up a JJ. I was after a 5 string and the first run of these new Charvels only had JJs for the fivers, the PJs were 4 string only, though it seems there is a new run of black or white Charvel fivers with a PJ set up. With a Precision style body and a fiver's neck, it feels like a Precision but with J pups
@@williamallfrey577 Nice. I'd like to play one, but haven't seen one in person yet.
