What if Bobby B pulled an Aegon the Unworthy on his deathbed and legitimized all his bastards? Edric and Mya being ones he would most likely know about.
In the book, wasnt jon basically forced to join the nights watch? I mean dude did WANT to go but catelyn didnt want him in winterfell without ned there and ned didnt want to take him south because he would be treated even worse in kings landing
Was listening to Feast of Crows the other day and had the thought what if the Blackfish Brynden Tully was sent to the Wall when Jamie is settling the Riverlands? He doesn't trust Jon because of Catelyn and she was right about Theon, also insinuating that because Jamie suggested it while mentioning that Jon is Lord Commander, that Jon is probably in the Lannister's pocket. It would be an interesting dynamic. Would he join the coup, or would there be a rocky start but an eventual alliance between them?
What if Rhaenyra never hatched Syrax but claimed Vermithor? In my opinion Rhaenyra entire personality would be different because I do believe dragons influence their rider and vice versa and since Vermithor name being the Bronze Fury id imagine Rhaenyra being a lot more aggressive
Choosing Rhaenys would not actually necessarily mark a change in the succession laws to suddenly favour women in the Dornish style. Choosing her to inherit is keeping to Andal traditions and laws, which place nieces above uncles. It's iffy in terms of cousins like her and Viserys, I'll grant you, but Rhaenys being queen does not make the oldest of her children regardless of gender heir ro the Iron Throne, unless she tries to change it herself, which would likely stir some sort of rebellion. One way or another, Laenor is legal heir. I also believe Otto would do whatever it took to set Viserys and Rhaenys against one another, even spreading rumours that the vote at the great council was rigged. (A nod to the GM conspiracy, which posits the canon vote might have been too)
I think cersei will just try to kill robert some other way, and make joffrey pardon jamie😅.
Knowing Caitlyn she would have taken to raising a bastard nephew who she may have thought had been conceived via rape after a kidnapping a lot better then raising whom she thought was her husband's bastard son.
Please that part III
Yes! And then Viserys might have put some effort in Aegon's upbringing.
Personally I like the theory that Viserys rotted because his dragon Balereon was infected with parasites from his trip to Old Valyeria. So Iron Throne or not, he may still have the same sickness
Read whole post So not gonna lie I USED to think your vids were atrocious because of out of character choices, contrivances, and slightly out there takes. So I started watching a few other what if creators and omfg y’all clearly didn’t watch the show or read the books TLDR thank you for keeping source material in mind in a landscape of creators who clearly don’t care about it
Lyana would press for Aegon (Jon) to take the throne.
What if littlefinger killed brandon stark in there duel
To much talking about what won’t happen just talk about what will. Still interesting 😅
what if ned accepted renly's offer to strike while the castle sleeps? or, what if renly did it without ned's permission? honestly, i think ned was convinced that stannis would have been a bad king. it was only when renly slipped that he wanted the crown, that ned changed his mind.
What if Maegor the cruel born as a woman.
All of this on the assumption Jaime replaces Hightower instead of Dayne. If he replaces Arthur Dayne it changes dramatically as Jaime would be dead with the same outcome as in canon but with Arthur helping Elia escape or them all dying in Aerys's kamikaze.
What if sir Arthur Dane killed Ned at the tower of joy?
Nah. This time I disagree. 1. You all describe Mountain as dumb, strong ox. Which is not the case. In books the red Viper has his hands full, has really not that much of advantage. He is fainting from exhaustion as he ust overcompensate for Gregora power, reach, weight... Thats the second thing. You fight with swords too right? I do. Our teacher is 213 cm of height. We cant reach him! He moves a bit to the side and we have to sprint to compensate for the huge half-circle movement he does. Its in fact even more nuts for the smaller people. Its really not that clichée from the movies about small, fast, skilled, beating the big one. You get exhausted even from blocking the hits. As even defense against wastly stronger man saps your strenght a lot! Thirdly, he is described as much faster than man of his size ought to be. And posessing a inborn combat instinct. In tjis regard he is not dumm at all. On contrary. He has all the real combat advantages! That Hightower guy would not survive, sorry. Unless you give him plot armour AF. 2. Jaimie is just teeny boy. He might be skilled, but he yet does not match adult men. Again... Physical skills mean a hell of a lot! You do realize that Romans and Greeks mostly focused on power and endurance? Combat style was subsequent to it. As they won not by skill of the blade, but by brute power output and outlasting the enemy. The Celts were excellent single combat warriours, Spaniards too. They all lost to Rome in the field. Sure, there are many another reasons, but the actual battle tactic was in fact focused on physical performance under stress rather than on kill. So... Nah. I dont agree this time. The weight categories in box, mma atc. are here for a reason. Bigger people win statistically more often.
Everyone would be dead. Cat would blab to Lysa, who would tell Littlefinger, who of course would make sure Robert was made aware that Rhaegar Targaryen's son was still alive, and then Ned, Cat, and their children would all be in danger all because Cat couldn't keep her mouth shut.
The city of Aegon the Conqueror destroyed in a similar manner to the Doom of Valyria... And then left in ruins like Valyria...
Me, looking at this version of Aemond: oh that’s not a bomb waiting to go off. I feel like Maegor may have had some missteps in Aemond’s youth, being a bit more supportive and affectionate than a brother-in-law should be, that may have set off some alarms in his head. I’m also wondering if Rivers is gonna tip him off
Most important about the Dothraki is that they are basically ONLY cavalry and LIGHT cavalry at that. Yes they can act like mounted archers riding rings around even other cavalry but would be hard pressed against mailed knights and above all a strong professional infantry like pikemen (That was practically invented to counter heavy cavalry) and can form into massive defensive formations with archers of their own as well as crossbowmen, the horselords will be shredded! And whenever they come upon even the smallest castle or Holdfast with thick walls and defenses. They would also be up against medieval artillery and this world's version of greek fire in the form of "wildfire" ALL that against a horde of unorganized savages and all I can say is "OUCH!"... Anyone that has played Total war games like Rone and Rome 2 as well as Medieval I and II and even Empire Total war knows what I am talking about. The reason in world why Mongols and Huns were so vastly powerful was 1. They had numbers especially the mongols with literally millions of men. 2. mongols had both light and heavy mounted archers. 3. The Huns under Atilla actually managed to innovate somewhat. The weakness of these horse peoples was their inability to innovate apart from the Huns. And ironically their numbers presented a problem = Both horses and men need to eat and drink and the much more developed infantry dominated armies of Europe with smart enough commanders could use the terrain to their advantage as apart from rough terrain there was a LOT of forests in Europe. And in Westeros seemingly every fool and his grandmother had some form of heavily defended structure to pull back into... All the Dothraki can do against the fortified cities and towns is basically howl and scream and scratch against the walls while the defenders could if their were coastal use ships to move forces around the Dothraki... And even if they somehow made it past the Andals and into the North = Freezing cold and marshes and forests and VERY rough terrain along with a people hardened by millennia long winters and one invader after the other trying to enslave them... Along with the Dothraki obvious problems with military innovation and the less we say about the Free Folk the better lest not to give any pro-Dothraki people nightmares!
9:26 Agewise Catelyn just keep trading down the line so to speak. Some northerners might start to consider her an "albatross" considering her fiancée and then her husband died...
Would Joffrey get the moniker "Girlslayer"?
Perhaps she does keep herself and her son hidden in Essos by sympathetic lords there? Makes a moral kind of sense. OR like you said keeping them hidden with Howland Reed. Only revealing his true origins after Robert is assassinated by Cercei. Being married to a man with a habit of bedding any female crossing his path is not what I can see as a happy marriage. Her feelings might simply make her as repulsed to Robert as Robert was against Cercei. And her hatred secret or not would be a hard pill to swallow, she might even hate the Lannisters (Who doesn't?) for what Tywinn allowed the Mountain to do to Ellia and her children.
One common misconception is that Robert’s Rebellion started because of Lyanna Stark’s alleged kidnapping. While her disappearance played a role in creating tension, it’s important to understand the societal norms of Westeros. In that world, acts like breaking betrothals or even abducting women, while frowned upon, were not uncommon and rarely escalated to full-scale rebellion. These actions alone were not enough to spark a civil war. The true catalyst for the rebellion was King Aerys II Targaryen’s cruelty and madness. The breaking point came when Aerys unjustly burned Rickard Stark, Lord of Winterfell, and his son Brandon alive. Rickard had come to King’s Landing seeking justice for his daughter Lyanna’s disappearance, but instead of addressing the matter, Aerys subjected him to a brutal death, an act that shocked the realm. This unjust execution of one of the most powerful lords in Westeros and his heir was a direct act of war. To make matters worse, Aerys then demanded that Jon Arryn, Warden of the Vale, execute his wards, Eddard Stark and Robert Baratheon. Instead of complying, Jon Arryn raised his banners in open defiance, marking the beginning of the rebellion. The combination of Aerys’s unprovoked cruelty and his demand for the execution of two noble heirs-one of whom was betrothed to his own niece-galvanized the great houses of Westeros against the Targaryen dynasty. In truth, the rebellion wasn’t about Lyanna Stark’s "kidnapping." It was about Aerys’s descent into tyranny, his willingness to burn noblemen alive without cause, and his demand for further bloodshed. These actions shattered the tenuous peace in the realm and ignited a civil war. Lyanna’s role in the rebellion was secondary.
What if the opposite happened, and against all odds Ned killed Jamie in this fight?
The drama on this one.. 😄😄
What if the High Sparrow stayed in power past season 6?
What if daemon and caraxes lived
If all of Viserys's children were female I'm sure one of them would have been name Visenya, unless he let Alicent pick all the names. I think Aegon would have been the Visenya since Viserys knew Rhaenyra wanted Baelon to have that name if born female, and since Visenya and Aegon were basically co-rulers.
What if ned killed jaime instead?
What if Rhaenys and Daemon were wed instead?
"This may just seem like glorified fanfic" Uhhhh... isnt that the point of these vids? Its just fanfic for youtube? Own it man
What if Jacerys was a Girl
What if Jon Arryn lived
I could see Robert now feel responsible for Ned's children in this timeline, he may want to keep the Stark daughters in Kings Landing or at least Sansa, and fast track her marriage to Joffery.
What if Jaime told Tyrion the truth about Tysha early?
What if Jaime refuses to participate in Tywin's charade in the first place, and doesn't lie to Tyrion about Tysha being a hired prostitute?
At min 23, you said that Stannis knew that Robert's kids are bastards. Then, I believe that they will also connect the puzzle on how suddenly Jon Arryn died knowing what he knew. This might multiply Robert's rage. His father and brother (figuratively) both killed by Lannisters.
Why didn’t Howland Reed say something. If Robert was on a killing Mad King descendants, I’m pretty sure Ned could have talked Robert into sparing Jon by saying it was Lyanna’s child, and Robert loved her, but could have sent him to the wall when he came of age so there is no threat. But what about Howland Reed, why was he so silent(show)he saved Ned, so what does he owe him? Ned should have told Cat. He was too honorable, and that is why he was taken from Westeros
This is all a likely enough outcome, ( I think the more likely outcome would be Jon leading Robb into turning down the "King in the North" crown because Ned gave his life to put Stannis on the throne and Jon would do the moral compass thing.) But with this outcome, with Jon still around I think he still has enough memory and experience of Cat treating him differently to understand what Theon will face in going home to his father and warn Robb not to put him in a situation where he might have to choose his father against them. It would lead to Theon feeling untrusted before Jon has a heart-to-heart with him about longing for acceptance from a parent. SO Theon would end up staying with them, preventing the Ironborn raid of the North putting them in an even stronger position. When Arya gets there with the Hound, Cat won't just realize Petyr lied about them having her(something he can cover with another lie) but have Sandor there to tell them that Littlefinger set Ned up and was the one to actually put the knife to his throat. At this point, they could conceal news of her return(everybody will be drunk or hungover after the non-red wedding party with only close Stark Loyalists knowing her). This has the secondary benefit of easing Arya into the fact that she's been betrothed(away from everyone so she doesn't start insulting the Freys) but most importantly, Cat can start leading Littlefinger on more and more through ravens to keep him working to free Sansa and also setting him up for eventual retribution. After he either pulls off Joffrey's assassination with the Tyrells or frees/brings Sansa home some other way they'll have him. Then instead of the loving, heroic welcome he was expecting from Cat, he'll be met with questions about Arya, which he'll lie about, followed by questions about Ned that he'll start to lie about before Arya and Sandor come out and call his B.S. Then Robb finally gets to execute someone in this timeline.
To branch off this one: What if Jaime takes Ned prisoner and hauls him all the way to the Westerlands? He literally says "Take him alive, kill his men.", but doesn't take him prisoner.
please don't try to speak in the characters voices.
I feel that if Tywin doesnt give over Jamie then the Greyjoys might actually attack Lannisport in the hopes any of their more atrocious acts are ignored or swept aside especially if they get in and get out quick enough that they could just refuse it saying the Lannister are trying to use their previous rebellion as a means to survive the kings justice
now do what if Ned stark killed Jaime Lannister instead
I think there is a non zero chance that Ned's death would have a sobering effect on Bobby B. We met him at his lowest, devastated by Jon Arryn's death. Ned's death could of course push him even further down that path, but I like to imagine something else happening. With the war against the Lannisters, Robert for the first time since the Greyjoy rebellion has a purpose and a reason to keep going. I personally can't think of anything better than Bobby B's training montage with Rocky's soundtrack playing in the background. The Great Stag would roam the realm once more.
What if Robert captured and married Queen Rhaella Targaryen to strengthen his claim to the throne I think it would be interesting as we know how horrible the king was to her and what might happen if Robert sees how traumatic it was for her and honestly it can’t be worse then either of their original marriages (in cannon). It also struck me weird as trying to kill all of them would technically make him a king slayer as him and the Targaryens share blood.
I don't know how sympathetic Robert would be to Rhaella, given how he himself treats his wife. His hatred of the Targaryens blinded him to their suffering. He forgave Tywin and Gregor Elia's children, and was willing to take out Viserys and Dany, even when the two very very young. If anything, Robert would treat Rhaella worse than Cersei. I don't think that kinslaying goes that far back. Besides, Robert did not really consider himself a Targaryen, nor did anyone else. It was just a legal excuse made up for him to officially claim the throne, not something to be read into.
I would argue that there is a chance he may call off the assassin or at least his assassin as Ned didn’t want her dead
