@@SaltyRagnarPureB100d Thank you!! I never played Skyrim. But I bought it when it was on sale during holiday 2023. It's sitting in my Steam library with zero hours played. Lol!! Along with a few other games I bought at that same sale.

@@Bathseda59 How many hours do you have in Valheim?? It's such a huge game and a full playthrough requires a big commitment! The grind is unreal. I've only solo'd it one time myself. The rest of the time I played it with siblings. It's a tough game to solo. The early biomes aren't too bad but once you hit the Swamp, it's crazy!!

@@firesonggamer My longest playthrough was for 30 hours, was playing with a friend and had a main settlement (raising pigs and bees) with gardens and a smaller one nearer to some ore deposites for gathering resources. We had a boat too. We were getting prepared to go into the snow and there was an update and we lost the save. We started playing minecraft again and 7 days and haven't gotten back to Valheim yet.

@@Bathseda59 I am surprised to hear you lost the save. My very first save is still fine and playable. But sounds like you had fun with Valheim, hopefully one day you will try it again.

@@TheRandyGr Thanks. Someday I'll go back to Valheim for a full playthrough and I will probably add a couple mods. For now I have too much on my hands with 7DTD and The Long Dark. Lol. Are you still playing Valheim these days? What are you playing now?

@firesonggamer I've not played Valheim in months. I guess having nearly 3,000 hours has finally taken a toll. It gets boring playing it alone. I've been playing 7 Days and a time killing clicker, lol. I keep putzing around in 7 Days even though all my gear is T6.

@@TheRandyGr Yeah, going back to Valheim just to record the tour made me feel some nostalgia! Just hearing the Meadows music made me feel sad and happy at the same time. My siblings have moved on from the game so none of us have played it for a very long time.

@firesonggamer That is sad. I never play with the music on in any game. For me it hinders the immersion and makes it harder to hear mobs, lol. Although I do like having the environmental sounds going. Water and wildlife is always nice to hear.

@acerreteq703 Do you play Valheim? You like Valheim content? Someday I'll probably go back for a full playthrough, maybe when they release The Deep North update and come out of Early Access.

@@firesonggamer That would exactly be the moment i would consider restarting again also. I don´t play atm but played several 100s of hours after it was released. I play Soulmask atm and that i can absolutely suggest to you to have a look into. 7DTD hardcore is a peace of cake compared to this.

@acerreteq703 I have Soulmask in my wishlist. Almost bought it at Holiday sale, even put it in my cart. But I resisted because I have several games in my Library already that are waiting to be played. Like Green Hell, Icarus, Skyrim, Days Gone. Lol. Too many games, not enough time.

@@josephdonais4778 Thanks. I did multiplayer several years ago before I started the channel and I wasn't recording gameplay then. My siblings have moved on from Valheim now, so we don't play together anymore. But I still love the game!!

@@TheRandyGr OH yeah, I'm already thinking of my next playthrough. I'll come up with ideas and make a poll. I think some people were not that into the idea of this playthrough, so I want people's opinions on the next one. But I actually really enjoyed this challenge. It made me miss the regular game progression and how it gave me structure and goals. And I kinda miss horde nights too, I can't believe I am saying that! Horde nights were starting to get annoying but now I kinda miss it! Haha!!

@@yokoerik5487 I don’t think I had that book. I salvaged so many cars without ever getting acid. Yellow barrels? Someone else said green barrels, lol. Which one is it? I guess I will check them all! Thanks for the tips.

@@firesonggamer my drop rate on it has been poor but it's non-zero. I suspect the rate is much better with the Wasteland Treasures book that gives you a shot at acid when wrenching cars or smashing medical cabinets but I haven't checked the code to see if that's the case it's just a hunch. I have had runs where I got 3 acid from 6 barrels and I've had runs with no acid from 10 barrels, both since 1.0, but I don't recall whether I had the acid harvesting book or not on any given run.

there are mods where you can get acid from batteries but in Vanilla they only give lead.

Pay attention to the size of meat you are cooking, some are large than others and can mess up your cycle of prepping if not paying attention. You could accidentally eat something not cooked and also when repaiting clothing and weapons make sure you don't accidentally harvest the item cause if you notice in the top left you will see repair or clean and below it will be harvest . So if your cleaning a weapon and are doing it a few times then it's clean off you quickly try to clean again it will just say harvest and I've seen a dude not paying attention harvestva rifle and well it wasn't a good day for him.. Break my heart if I watched you do the same.. ;))

The low rabbit calorie is definitely disappointing, I learned that in the first season. But it's all I can safely get for now. A weapon would be nice, for sure.

Accidentally harvest something I am not supposed to? I already did. It already happened. Thank goodness it was only my shoes, for now. Lol.

@firesonggamer lol. Not the shoes :) Do keep an eye out for the mock-in-naw boots though. They look bad ass and are some on the best all around lower level boots. I believe they can only be found not crafted.. there just a wee bit better than the deer skin ones.. Did imention they look amazing :) lulz

Thank you!! I heard a long time ago that there was a backpack in Ash Canyon but never went looking until recently. I did a blind exploration run of Ash Canyon while I was sick and not feeling like recording. I did it on Pilgrim cause it seemed like a tough region. I got lost and went around and around for days! I finally got to the overlook above the gold mine but I had no clue about rope anchors at the time, so I left the mountain. I got lost some more. It was horrifying. I had to camp outdoors most nights and eat cattails to survive.

Yeah . I feel ya .. ash canyon can fir sure be super dangerous . Early on when the map came out. I seen a video that was about as short as you can go to get there. There are 2 ways in from timberwolf mountain. If you look for a map of the areas it will help ( I know there's a whole blind thing and wanting to earn / learn yourself, I respect that but this isn't 7days). Anyhow, the southern access by a bear cave on left and a wing on the right there's a pathway way that leads down, at the T intersection go right.. follow along to cave. Come out of cave into ash canyon.. head out into the silent hill burnt area and stay to the left.. hug tight, walk under a suspension bridge and continue. It will veer towards the right. And turn into a tight canyon. Very narrow for a bit. You will run into a cave that you can rest up and regain all the lost things.. Then when you leave the cave bust to the right and when it opens up stay to the right.. few hundred yards out will open up to an even larger area. Stay to the left and you will see 2 large possible pathways, kinda head for the right one. Both kinda go to the same place keep heading on and it will hook to the right .. continue on the area tightens up and kinda hug to the left.. you'll see a rope and possible moose area . There are like 3 ropes to climb so have coffee or energy drink . Take naps .. They are long ropes so don't be afraid to rest on the ledges part way up, get close to the ledge and look for the prompt. Anyways as you get up the ropes kinda stay to the middle and you'll see a thing that looks like a hoist of sorts and when you look down you'll see the cave. I believe you stated you may of gotten there. Climb on down to the cave get your rewards. If you continue on thru the cave it will be a one way exit dumping you off in the middle of all the ropes you climbed earlier then you can just make your way back out of ash the way you came.. And continue on your way . Cause for now the extra backpack space is bitching.. And this is easier and closer than the signal fire satchel. Which can be a bit treacherous. It's a very unforgiven area. Hope this helps if you decide you need more junk in the trunk, lol

@firesonggamer they are all the same size except for the last one taken. If you get 5 from an animal 4 will be the same size and the 5th will be whatever was left to take. You can tell by looking at the calories of each steak. Good luck survivor 😁
