    Wow uploaded 1 minute ago, what timing lol I just opened the app to see what was up before bed.
    I just started a brawler run because of you! I've never done brawling before so I'm looking forward to it. (I just noticed you need mechanical parts to craft iron knuckles, that makes no sense! Why would a solid piece of metal need mechanical parts 🤔). But I'm doing a permadeath run so I can't be as passive as you this time lol

    If you can get together enough money you might be able to buy a chemistry station long before you can craft one...

      Good idea. I'll try to do both at the same time and see which gets me there first. Thanks.

    Something that might be worth doing is planting a few emergency trees up on your roof so that if you wind up stuck up there with no wood you can harvest them to fuel your escape. You don't need full farm plots to plant trees just craft a Dirt block, put it down and you can plant tree seeds directly in the Dirt.

    • @josephdonais4778
      @josephdonais4778 Місяць тому

      No need for trees when you have 6000 wood in storage.

      @@firesonggamer I do it mostly in DF to put fruit trees in weird places but it'll work just fine with regular trees in Vanilla. Sometimes you just need a Coconut grove on top of a Church in the Snow or some bananas on a gas station.

      @firesonggamer no point to it really except as a novelty. You could try a challenge to making one as close to a 🥕 as you can😀 (oak, not pine)

    I just noticed the POI next to your base to the east would be very useful in this challenge! You can knock out stairs and walkway on the concrete garage to create a safe space upstairs (I sometimes use this as a fast early game base). You can chip a hole through the floor to a lift shaft below that has a tier 3 loot room at the bottom. There is also a way to get the loot without fighting! Lastly and most importantly, there are 4 large 5x5 plots with trees around the garage can all be used for planting :D

    • @firesonggamer
      @firesonggamer  Місяць тому

      Awesome. Thank you for the tip. I've been told about the surrounding farm plots. What luck!!

    I feel like Eric from South Park screaming at the top of my lungs. Plant your tree seed to one side of your base Ms Silly. A hatch at the top of your ladder will allow you to push forward when mounting it to decend and further secure from zed. Rails layed flat around the top. Get wood greedy while you are slowly dying.

    The square planter boxes around Johnny Town should be 5x5 plantable ground. Basically farm plots but you can't dig them up and move them but unless they've changed it in 1.0 it's an amazing free garden with 150 plantable spots (6 5x5 raised beds).

    Awesome series, horde night is gunna be interesting with no beer yet. Those mechanical parts are always tough to find in the beginning, try a small pas n gas and service trucks and the little power substations or radio tower looking places with 1 little building in a fenced area. They will usually have a working stifs box in the small building and only 1 or 2 monsters guarding it. Good luck.

    If bone icon is orange it's sprained. If it's red it's broken. Both cast and splint help heal broken bones (like yours) and you don't require any skills to use them. Cast and splint work the same but the cast heals quicker. If you are physician lvl 1 both can be used on sprains to heal them instantly. Hope this helps future hobbling scenarios!

    You might want to check the area of your land claim. Being on top of the base and the area set to 31, it might not be covering the area under the base.

    Early game you need either a Wrench or a Forge to get Forged Iron. You can find bits and pieces in loot and trash but it's not reliable.

    • @firesonggamer
      @firesonggamer  Місяць тому

      Thanks. I'm kinda screwed until I get a forge going. Which I need to find more books!! Found a Crack a Book, but don't know if I can clear it to loot. It's tier 3. Oh well, I can only try.

      @firesonggamer it's actually harder to do in a big city too, the small towns have a bunch of POIs which include cement mixers and broken dew collectors to get your forge ahead count kick started. They generally aren't as easy to get in the Medium and Large city POIs.

    Watching a second time... How to get iron? Dig sweetie dig. I forgive you the brain cramp too. I wonder if you can get poly by opening a trash bag, closing it, destroying it and taking it's contents from the loot bag that pops as it does with a nest for more feathers.

      @firesonggamer Yeah I haven't checked yet in 1.0 but up through A21 it's remained as plantable soil for as long as I can remember. I'm not aware of significant overhauls to the POI in 1.0 though so it's unlikely to have been changed.
