Wow! This is still a very exciting playthrough even with out fighting zombies! You have a long way to go, but you can get there! Thanks for sharing! 😃😁😆
No XP from spikes. You need to grab WAY more wood as fast as you go thru it. Grab some clay and you can craft dirt blocks that will allow you to plant trees on the roof. You can use existing farm plots to plant crops until you can craft your own. Put some points into the hide skill.
Yeah, I think XP from spikes/traps is a skill? May have to drop a point into it. Yep, gonna need a boat load of wood. Tree's on top of the base sounds like a good idea! Thanks. :)
@@firesonggamer It is a skill. - you also can boost exp gain from going harvestskills, and diggin and woodchopping/basebuilding will be like powerleveling. Its one of the reasons we have the mags. You can gain a ton of exp from diggin/building(upgrading blocks) etc, so peeps often ended as base-bitches. The mags(and legendary parts) is incentivicing the players to go out n loot and not just stay home n dig/build..
With the loot bump from being in the snow the Electrical Trucks should be gold mines for turrets. Even though you can only have 1 active at a time you could spread them around and which ever one is closest will activate as you run around.
Dunno how far you are playing in advance.. bit you are missing loot bags.. lol. 2nd floor where the birds got you. And you could hide through that hatch from weather and birds. You found the miner gloves and didn't wear them.. lol. Bow for the animals since you've made that exception. I think the spikes for zombies are ok as you don't get experience and they are essentially killing themselves. You didn't check out the entire elevator in the bird building. Or the very highest roof. If you can get stamina up you could probably do some sneaky raids. The kitchens on a lot of houses you can sneak in loot and run. You are having to relearn your zombie survival skills. LoL. It's fun You might do a run back to the forest biome for honey and cloth. As long as you get back before dark? You don't have to advance everything at once. Make platforms at night. You passed up the roof of the pass and gas.. lure zombies off and loot or hide on the roof. Knuckle wraps are not much of a weapon.. upgrade asap.. Repair spikes. There was a lake near the bird house.
Thanks for suggestions. Yeah, those miner gloves...I sold them off camera. Ooops! Stamina is always a problem early game, it's never easy at the beginning. I definitely have to be a little more creative with how I deal with zombies now, it's stressful and fun at the same time. OHhhh, yeah, I forgot about that hatch in the roof, but I didn't even know the vultures were flying around, so I couldn't hide or get away from them anyways. LOL!!
Btw, it should be cheaper to repair the spikes before they break than to replace them with fresh ones afterward, or at least it was the last time I checked.
Spike Kills give 0 XP. Powered traps like SMG Turrets, Electric Fences and Blade Traps will also give 0 XP unless you have points in Engineering then you'll get a % of the XP for the trap kills based on your level in Engineering. Robotic Turrets (Junkie) and Sledge Turrets (DK) give full XP for kills since they're treated as weapons rather than "traps" by the game. I haven't tested whether Land Mines give XP normally or if they get treated like Spikes and Barbed Wire.
I think spikes are acceptable because I am not fighting directly with the zombies. I am placing them and running away scared, still consistent with my phobia. The zombies are essentially killing themselves by walking into them.
First of all ... 'Thumper junior' - one of the many I presume - rules ! 😀 Second point that needs to be adressed ... you need to drink some milk and put skill points in platforming. 🙂 This game seems to be some kind of a version of dodgeball. If I may ponder over a bit of criticisme with a little sauce of sarcasme 🙂... why didn't you start your spawn with a 1-2 stacks of beer ? I mean a fresh start without fighting and in the snow biome ... seems a bit off to me. Your do realize that your garden is still far away, especially without the necessary exp. for getting the skill points. Seeds have a very low chance of dropping through harvesting. You will be faced with the dilemma of making beer or trying to make more seeds for replanting .
Thanks. I've previously considered how hard it will be to make seeds and it's also a long path to getting the chemistry station. And that's part of the reason I liked this challenge, because it's CHALLENGING. But I don't think it's impossible, well hopefully it's not impossible. It's a first time challenge so we'll see how it goes. I never thought about starting off with a stack of beer. LOL! Maybe the zombies drank it all!

lmao, this series keeps giving me the giggles
That's a good thing.

Great idea !! I’ve been away and missed your game play!! I’m here for it
Hello. Welcome back.
@ thanks , you were definitely missed

Thanks. I'll loot everything as long as my inventory allows. A turret would be amazing.
Don't forget about the secret entrance at Hugh's.
What secret entrance?
Wait, the fireplace, right?
@@firesonggamer Yup. Every bit of extra free loot helps :)
@@TheRandyGr Absolutely.

Aw, too bad spikes give zero xp. I will have to earn xp another way. Which is fine, it will make it even more challenging!
@@firesonggamer get molys and harvestskills, start dig/chop wood n build base(upgrading blocks gives a ton of exp)
I think being offensive with the spikes is counter to the intent of the rules? I mean they are your rules... so long as you maintain the intent.

@@firesonggamer You HAVE to have some way of killing. The price in wood 100 % legitimize the strat. Them spikes aint cheap.(yet)
