Just watching this video today. I played a game as Random last night, my first game back in StarCraft since 8 years ago. I got Terran as my race! I sent an early scout out at around a minute or so into the game, saw my opponent was grabbing their expansion so I decided to do a 1 base all in building 3 racks with reactors and tech labs for some Marauders. Needless to say he wasn’t ready for my aggressive push when I got a decent enough force together. Scouting is so important! 😊 I’ll try this build later today when I get home from work.

Hi, this build is great I get an early advantage but as a newbie IDK what to do next after I have a massive advantage but his base is fully defended then I checked my minerals and resources are always 5k+ do I need to build more hatcheries and any tips for late game?

Widow-mines are the dumbest, most unfun, lazy-ass unit in the game. Just throw them practically anywhere and it's guaranteed to be effective and cost efficient. It fires ground & air---as if Terran doesn't already have enough of those! AOE damage; bonus damage to shields, manually targeting, self targeting, takes two biles from ravengers, can move before bile lands, needs detection, no direct counters other then some protoss units, broodlords (which is a tier 3 unit), doesn't need a tech lab, can be built and dropped behind a mineral line wthin 4:30 minutes. The thing doesn't make sense. Mines are suppose to explode itself , doesn't fire twice or cares who steps on it. If it fired at anything even Terran then okay, fine. At least that would take some sort of strategy to use instead of placing it under your own tanks, as if that was some mastermind play. Combined with medivacs drop and it's a sure fire way to get ahead with low risk/high reward outcome at least in the early game. If you don't see it coming twice you lose, if you do it still sets you back. Microing workers keeps you from mining, so it basically pays for itself without even doing anything but exist. Even when it fails it can still just take off again, then rinse & repeat. Now combine it with ghost & scan. Congratulations, you have the best turtling long range army in the game, awesome! That's of course you even use ghosts, which require to use control groups and a lot of them don't. Widow-mines are just an easy way to get to diamond without having to actually learn the game. It's stupid, and I'd like to see it being removed and replaced with something that is engaging to play against as well as challenging to master.

September 2024 new player here

I dunno.. I get cheesed every time trying this. I noted down all the timings, etc and I get zerglings in my main before I get my second depot up, or dark templars cutting me up right after I drop mules so I have no way to see them. Can't get past silver. No one wants to wait, I pretty much get rushed every time before 4:30. The only success I've had is against terran!

Veteran diamond league Terran here was looking at builds and this came up. I appreciate this build because it keeps it very simple. It is something a new Terran would do get marines and stim up into your opponent, lol. Difference is you give the build order, timing and explanations! Very great build for new Terrans! If you are a new Terran reading this learn this build! GGs!

So I don't normally post, but my MMR was 2100 a month ago. I watched this video and haven't played excessively l, but my MMR is now over 2500. I took photos for the comments but can't add them. Very good video though!

If you want free wins (most of the time) just find a cheese and get really efficient with it. But cannon cheeses dont typically work against most players anymor😅

any tips on dealing with mass lingbane? thats the only strategy ive never won against. (im gold league, trash micro, trash apm, not too bad macro mechanics).

It's all cool just sucks you use all the pro terms. Don't understand half of what you're talking about but I get it..

I’m in diamond and this build works at high level but when I use this against gold or lower, they just 1 base maurader/marine rush and fry me. Or 3 gate zealot rush, low level games are so cringe 😅

This is an amazing build order. I went from silver to platinum with like 90% winrate with this build order. Thank you!
