- For years I've wondered how many hours I've played SC2, how much time I've poured into it, and recently I found out how to actually calculate it. So in this video I'll go over how to find your own time spent playing SC2, as well as what it means to me.

Damn I got 941,038 minutes and never hit masters only diamond Terran wtf, i got a new 2024 goal, thanks for upload sir!
This is awesome! I didn't think this was information I could actually get a hold of, but ended up googling it after waxing nostalgic about SC2 with some friends. I actually played less than I thought I did. 680 hours spread out between 2010 when WoL released, peaking in masters league briefly, then stopping pretty quickly after beating the campaign in LotV. I played heavily for the first couple of years, slowly tapering off my playtime after HotS released. I played almost no latter in LotV, just played through the campaign and caught up with some old clan mates online a bit.
Awesome, I thought I'd always have to multiply the number of games played by like 12 mins or whatever I feel like the average game length was
9459 hours Damn thats what 12 years does :D
I have 947.916 minutes, what is approximately 15k hours, only 5.3k Sadge
I was able to use this to find out how much money I spent on Hearthstone and Heroes of the Storm. I didn't like the answer.
Oh noooooo
I would love a video about the financials of various starcraft pros to get a general idea of what it is like for them to make this career happen! Obviously only if a given pro is comfortable sharing their personal financial information.
Keep up the good work 👍👍👍
I'd be interested in seeing how much sc2 players make as I'm helping out as a manager for CSO Esports, and we're not exactly a big SC2 team, and I'd wanna know how much salary and how much money from sponsorships people make inside sc2. Would be nice to see the ones who also have an income from streaming and UA-cam, as I'm also doing that sort of stuff (only as a hobby so nothing big), and it peeked my curiosity to know how much a content creator would make off of sc2
I really like your videos 💪💪
Thanks mate appreciate it
This is pretty sweet!
Finally ! Thx Pal ! 1469 hours for me
will you make a video in which you will show all the voices of death of Terran Specters in each language version and which one is better?
3688 hours. Diamond 1 for 1v1 and GM in 3v3. Approx equal split by my estimation.
Thanks for the info this is awesome! Just a heads up, 1.5 years in a decade is much closer to 15% than it is 10%
Yeah I think I just mispoke, but it's also probably more true once you consider it counts just time idling.
75 days, Diamond 3 Zerg and Protoss😅
Well, I've got all the data in JSON format in just a few minutes of delay, but there is nothing about "time spent", here are all the informations present (EU region) :
"BattleTag",
"First Name, Last Name",
"Email Address",
"Parental Control Email",
"Account Region",
"Preferred Language",
"Mobile Number",
"Account Create Date",
"Date of Birth",
"Last Login Date",
"Last Login IP Address",
"Other Email Addresses",
"Account Name Change History",
"Other Mobile Numbers",
same :(
does this data include the time you spent on campaigns? i haven't done very much ladder games but i have played a looooot of the campaigns. kinda curious to know how many hours i have on it
Yeah it's just how much time you have spent logged onto SC2.
oh ok thank you!
I have 5,5k hours and my top rank is master 2 :)
I cant find that button. In the german userinterface theres no such to request data... Im sad now.
Gonna play some more SC2
Does this work for other Blizzard games too ?
the same File does have content to other games but no totalminutes for Warcraft 3
i was hoping to see how many hours I have in Hearthstone, but i can't seem to find that in the File either
I wonder if that is time in game, or time online? Like if you're idling in chat, does that count?
Yes idle time should count.
Starcraft, is wery great the play. THE STARCRAFT IS MY LIFE!!!
i have 95 days and im diamond that is good i gues
Did you have a job while you were a pro as well?
in 2018 I took a gap year and was a fulltime Pro. Every other year I was studying, and got my masters last year.
quise saber cuantas hora llevo jugando sc2 y ahora quiero olvidarlo xdd
I've got 79253 hours. I'm in Platinum 1. *insert excuses here*
I'd love to know the total number of games you've played across all accounts too if you don't mind sharing 🙂
As Protoss (on almost all my accounts, so maybe add another 1000), I have played 11812 - LOTV, 5059 - HOTS, 2072 -WOL, for a grand total of 18943 games.
@@ProbeSC2 that's a lot less than I thought it would be! I'm in low masters and often verse people with more games than that. Thanks!
@@v1n3g4r7i am in diamond and I versed people with 40k games already back in gold league.
where are you :(
Haha I'm stuck playing stormgate beta
So i played for a year and i'm still trash 😅
I like your content, but isn't this number highly inflated, and therefore not accurate, as it is time logged into the server rather than actual game play time...?? You could be sleeping, watching TV, or out cutting your grass, and yet if you're logged onto the server, it's logging as "game play" time, but it's really not. So it's more or less a worthless number. Way more interesting to know actual game play time! Have you asked Blizzard if that can be determined? I wouldn't think it would be that complicated at all, just add up the times of each individual game. Or even better, compile two numbers, the aforementioned total game play time, but also time you're "actively on the server" --- changing settings, pre-game setup, help screen learning, etc.
I think Steam gives the same inaccurate time. It says I've been playing certain games for hours that I know I haven't.
It's not more or less a worthless number, It's closer to being accurate than you probably want it to be.
