I cannot stress how many times my opponent keep on saying my race is overpowered and they will lose for sure. And g long behold they play poorly. Couple of times they just need to push a little bit more, then they would have won, but they keep on telling themselves they will lose.
Just enjoy the game!
I always commentate my games and I usually win with it I also say split marines now macro macro macro yeh go go go now drop left right go go I got this yep nice and just keep boosting your confidence and making yourself feel happy and proud with even 1 button click

this theory actually explains a very weird behaviour i found out a while ago. Dont get it wrong, not supporting drug abuse here...
but when i sit down in the evening and play a couple games and i have a beer or 2 before...(not to a point youre drunk but just to... get a bit more relaxed) i actually play better because you do more stuff and think less about it, wich in return makes your decision making much faster because your not overthinking certain plays.
something similar you can see in darts for example. i mean yes its a sport you play at a bar often but even professionals usually have a beer while playing because it just opens up to a little more relaxed state without overthinking the stuff you do...instead you just do it.
And this phenomenon is basicly the same background your talking about.
i m not saying: oh just drink every time you play... no...dont do that. But it might be helpful to understand how this theory works, because after a beer or 2, people are usually more calm and more worryfree aswell. Just imagine you try to recreate this state without drinking... ^^
Haha yeah I don't endorse drinking every time you play, but I can see how it relaxes you and stops overthinking.
