I could not get the dealer to give me an OTD price over the phone. I told them I needed the amount for the check I was bringing in. We had already agreed on MSRP with them throwing in an auto start. The reason was, they wanted to go back in to sales mode with all the extra add on crap like fabric protectant, paint sealants, etc. when I showed up. When I arrived to pick up the car, they spent another 45 minutes pushing the add ons. Finally they gave up, and I wrote a personal check for the car. They reminded me of time share salesmen.

The hybrid CX-5 is set for 2026

Didn't want or need the third row seating option. Wanted to be able to lug a lot of stuff with no hassle from the third row. CX-70 was the right car, given its various features and price at the top trims, and Mazda's special sauce for drivers. Loved the inline six option, with good mileage for a six. Got 4 grand in discounts off MSRP, plus a favorable trade value and some extras thrown in.

Why question the $1,000 below MSRP? Better yet, why give them a reason to add any cost? Tomi, you’re a douche.

CX-70 PHEV is an excellent lease. We recently leased at $303 a month, with $0 DAS. 10% off MSRP + incentives, 24 months is the sweet spot.

Stay away from cx90 phev. Horrible quality constant issues that dlr dsnt know how to fix read reviews on forums. 6 cylynder cx90 is great thought. The only reson I got it I got crazy deal on it.

Just retired from selling mazdas in Washington state. The cx70 is a joke and they never should have built it. Just put the 3rd Row down and you have a 70. There's not much profit in any of the mazdas. 10% off would never happen where I worked. 7% is e plan. It would have to be a very desperate struggling dealer to do 10% and then they will try to beat you up in the back.

In short, a "pack" is an amount of money the dealership won't pay the salesperson on. It's house money. Personally I ignore "packs" in my negotiations. First and foremost, the salesperson shouldn't have mentioned a "pack". 99% of consumers don't know what a "pack" is nor does the consumer care how much or how little the salesperson is compensated. There were far better ways the salesperson could have handled this deal. Lying destroyed any credibility and a chance for a sale. Tell the truth. It's easier to remember and keep straight.

2 main mazda's i was looking at was the 3 and CX30. what alot of people leave out is how small those openings are getting in/out. I am 5'11 and when i was at the dealer. Getting in and out of the 3 was a big PITA, the CX30 not so much but just enough it made me go with the CX5.
