Tommy, I work at a Mazda dealer. The CX-90 starts cheaper because it starts at the Select trim, while the CX-70 starts at the next trim up (Preferred). If you compare trim to trim, they are nearly identical, with the 90 being slightly more expensive
YESSIR! I've got a 2016 Mazda 3 sedan, and never had any issues. Just take it in for reg maintenance. Super fun to drive (even though it's an automatic)😂
Didn't want or need the third row seating option. Wanted to be able to lug a lot of stuff with no hassle from the third row. CX-70 was the right car, given its various features and price at the top trims, and Mazda's special sauce for drivers. Loved the inline six option, with good mileage for a six. Got 4 grand in discounts off MSRP, plus a favorable trade value and some extras thrown in.
Tomi I am in market for cx50 hybrid. Reached out to my first dealer today and they wouldn’t budge off of MSRP. Pretty much said “good luck finding someone who will go under MSRP”. I am in major city metro with many other Mazda dealers within 100 sq miles and now I’m pissed off. Challenge accepted. I will find somebody else to earn my business.
@@blaker92 he’s lying bud. Dealers wont shave off more than 1 maybe 2k. Most of these people just make videos and never step inside a dealer. If they did it happened long time ago when things were different. He’s lying. No one will give you 7%. At 7% your best bet is a 2024 on a dealers bad day at a trim they want to get off their lot
THANK YOU. I am seriously considering pulling the trigger on a CX-50/90. I prefer the EXTERIOR trim look of the CX-70 over the 90, but Mazda's failure to increase second seat legroom on the 70 over the 90 means that the 3rd row simply wins out long term, even if those seats are folded down when I drive it off the lot and never go back up until I sell it. Because when I sell it, those seats will matter. Seriously Mazda, what the hell were you thinking not USING some of that freed up space for the PEOPLE?
The CX-70 starts off at a higher MSRP because its lowest trim is Premium which is the CX-90’s mid trim (for PHEVs). Also, the 90 has been having a ton of recalls and lemons
The 70 is seeing those same issues now which is no surprise. I have 4000 miles on my 70 and I'm lemon lawing it for a bad transmission. My dealer has a pipe of 70s in the shop for a grinding second gear and a New tranny doesn't fix it. It has something to do with the electric motor conflicting with the ice transmission when it disengages.
Should do a lease and dash video. Covering when it makes sense and when it doesn’t. Isn’t there typically a termination fee to do that? Give some scenarios. Can you just finance the remainder? Wouldn’t they have leverage on Apr if so?
What are the benefits of the lease and dash method??? Also If I do the lease and dash method what's the typical interest rate for excellent credit when buying the vehicle a month later
I worked at a dealership once upon a time they would love to sell used cars more than new because there was so much margin in them. They get someone in the dealership that says I just want something that’s under $__/month they will knock them over the head with a used car marked up through the gills.
@@Delivrdim geting about 5% off (~$1800) off the 2025 premium plus trim (base MSRP $36,620). According to your video, I should at minimum get 7% (~$2500) off?
Came in about a month and a half ago for a soul red Mazda 3 select sport 2024 looking for around $24.5k otd. Came in, salesman said that would be impossible since they get invoices close to msrp (which was $27.5k). They wanted $34k first, then $30k and tried to play off $27.5k to be the last price. Left the dealership and mid reversing out my mom's van, they chased me out and said they could do $24.5k lol Edit: Yes Tomi I agree, who tf cares about Alexa built-in lol, that's why I decided to look at the 2024 over the 2025. Bigger discount > Alexa built in
I’m trying to score a 24 Mach e to go with my CX5 but dealers think I’m gonna pay $700 lease with all these incentives. I just quit texting them with their games
Stay away from cx90 phev. Horrible quality constant issues that dlr dsnt know how to fix read reviews on forums. 6 cylynder cx90 is great thought. The only reson I got it I got crazy deal on it.
No I actually like the Mazda 3 sedan. Besides, that hatchback supposed to have blind spots. I put the Mazda 3 premium 6spd on my wish list good review.
Im trying to get a 2023 Chevy colorado z71 for 35k. Is that too much ask? Chevy’s financing promo on 24’s seems better, but of course they are running around 41s+.
South Florida Mazda dealers think they these Mazda are gold and only come down about 5%. They let me walk and move on. Who really loses the dealership.
I bought a cx70. Its easily the worst car I have ever owned. So many issues ranging from grinding transmissions to misaligned door molds so they let dirt and debris into the rear seat area to a useless hybrid system. Just take a look online to see all the issues owners are having. The reason the 90 has a lower starting point is because it lacks the sunroof that is standard on the 70 and a few other things.
@@Delivrd Im seeing 2500 bonus cash on the 70 but nothing on the 90. And you have to match trims before you compare MSRP. The 90 is about 500 more expensive for equivalent trims. Still worth paying that for the 3rd row IMO.

@enmass90 Every car I've purchased since 1990 has been off-lease from a GMC pickup to a Kia Soul Turbo. And every one saved me at least 25%. Make friends with the used car manager at your local dealership. 😁
@ let me rephrase, it doesn’t work on desirable vehicles with low depreciation curves. Especially not ones from Toyota, Honda, or Subaru. Perhaps you can get 25% off msrp off lease in your market on those but it’s not very likely everywhere. I purchased a few cars this year and none of the off lease used cars made sense because they were too close in cost to brand new. Especially since you can negotiate 10%+ off msrp on new cars right now. Getting a crazy deal on off lease vehicles is much easier on luxury cars. It especially makes more sense on those because the CPO warranties on brands like BMW are excellent.
Just retired from selling mazdas in Washington state. The cx70 is a joke and they never should have built it. Just put the 3rd Row down and you have a 70. There's not much profit in any of the mazdas. 10% off would never happen where I worked. 7% is e plan. It would have to be a very desperate struggling dealer to do 10% and then they will try to beat you up in the back.
Crazy this is common right now in central Florida. Dealer I just bought one at is straight up advertising $4k off MSRP on their website and I negotiated even more.
WA seems to be the most expensive state for cars right now. I remember Tommy had no luck quoting Bellevue toyota with firm markups. My last 3 cars were bought out of state and sold in WA for profit after driving them for a year.
actually Tomi has been good at doing some deals where it makes sense due to the tax credit, and pretty sure that is something like leasing and then buying it out later or something, He likely has video on it. If you are buying/leasing sign up for his free consult.
I tried buying a car with Gold coins when they were worth $1,500 an ounce. It didn't go well. The dealer thought a $50 face Gold coin was worth.... Fifty dollars. 😢
