This a such a perfect video title for the UA-cam algorithm and just is such a good idea from a content creator. Mr. Mikula, you’re killing it and I’m loving it.
Why won't they give a full out the door price? Makes no sense to lose a car sale because you don't want to give someone the price of what they're buying...
@@KingH734I get that you don’t want the customer to have leverage… but this is a massive purchase. You would not buy a house without first having a formal offer with everything broken out in writing. You wouldn’t sign a lease on a building for your business without first seeing the LOI with terms in writing. Why would you move forward on a $30-100k car without first having the cost documented in writing. If you can’t win the customer without being shady about it, then that is capitalism and you need to be better than your competition.
Thank Tommy for all your videos, I kept emailing dealers across the country for OTD price, I had 3 and used it at local dealership for 8% off MSRP for a 24 Mazda cx-90 without the shipping fees and your expertise I figured I saved about 11%. Love the suv and worth every penny. You’re incredible and like you said we can do this on our own with our own hard work. Appreciate you and everything you do!
Because of watching your videos this year, I was able to purchase a 2024 Jeep Grand Cherokee at $13k under MSRP, as well as a 2024 Ford Explorer ST at $9k under MSRP (and 1.9% for 60 mos!)... you are awesome
I used Chat GPT to help negotiate on our car last month. It was super helpful and helped draft a script and a response to each text message. I also uploaded each Tsheet to the chat and it updated the prompt list. You have to be super specific for it to work. The prompts you used were vegaue and Chat GPT ain't good with getting exact numbers unless you give it exactly what the dealers are listing
@@Delivrd So this is a DISHONEST car Dealership???? NO WAY!!! But you give them total respect. You really should let us know who this dealership was so that no one buys from them!! Would RussFlipsWhips have done such a thing? I don't think so!!!
@@Delivrd I understand you do this all day, everyday and know exactly what is going on. Unfortunately, I do not. I wish you would have broken down exactly what was happening and how you knew it was bait and switch. or what exactly the salesperson was trying to do.
Nah…that’s not it. They figured out who you were and didn’t want to be your guinea pig for this experiment. Even if they didn’t know you, it was obvious you were reading or up to something and they are running a business. Time is money.
I used it while negotiating a lease about two weeks ago. When the junior sales guy left the table to go talk to his sales manager, I would just plugged in and say is this considered a good deal?
When you go to a dealership whats the best way to get a good salesman vs a new or inexperienced one? When you call its likely whoever answers the phone and you get atuck with.
Can you do a video where you negotiated a 2025 Camry XSE with the premium pkg and got a deal? I've been super curious since i've been thinking about buying this car
Great video. You should have an alternate name for your robot alter ego. Like Tomitron Mikula-FourThousand Version A. All these comments saying they've been using Chat GPT are probably actual bots. I call up and the first thing out of my mouth is that I'm an Earthling.
This is the problem with the business. And everyone misses it. “Just wanted to see what is your best offer?” It’s their job make money. You are buying, it’s your job to make an offer. If they can do it cool, if they can’t then cool. I can promise you, the people who act like this are more than welcome to go somewhere else and the dealer won’t mind.
Its always been that way with most of those Toyo dealers. I guess it's easier for them to just wait for someone to come along to land into their net than to expend any effort on someone who's putting in the work to get a better deal
@@theReal_Arthur_Morgan I was wondering the same thing and your answer does not make much sense. If they already gave the total but would not break it down you can still shop the total price. What am I missing here? The problem I saw is that they would not do a break down.
Doc fees are dumb and you can't convince me otherwise. Remember when they didn't exist, I do. When they first came up with this scam they started off small but that person said they could be up to $1200, what BS. You want to sell me something I buy it or I don't, but now its you want to sell me something and then charge me for selling it to me. Let it Rot.
Alas the old bait and switch. Thst AI would be ok for a very inexperienced person but definitely has no idea how or when to place emotional support in the chat. Thanks for the video.

Did you mis-title this video? What lies are you referring to? I think she doesn't want to give the total out the door because she's worried she'll probably mess up something in regard to taxes. But she said the OTD was the car price (stated) the doc fee (stated) and only the taxes and tag fees per your state. So, in essence, she gave you the total OTD price.
Were you actually trying to buy a car or just using ChatGPT to find out if it works for buying a car? It seems like you wasted the dealership’s time and just did this for content. You recently negatively criticized a video of CarEdge for doing a video for wasting the dealerships time (which it was a fair point), but it definitely seems that you did the same thing
Negative, thats why I said "I have to find a client who needs a car" It's why I chose that car, because I had a client who needed it. If the dealership ended up making a price that made sense I would of locked it up for my clients. I want to be clear, my job is to get my clients the best deals. We test new methods all the times, and thats all this was. Does AI scripts work? If so we lock these deals up. But if this was a more effective way to negotiate we would use it more often. It was not.

They didn't think he was serious. Thanks ChatGPT! 😂
It's because they want a bait and switch
It's because customers take our pricing breakdown and shop it with 10 other dealerships. Rather not give you the breakdown, bye
