The CRV Hybrid is more reliable than the gas CRV. The gas CRV uses the tiny 1.5 turbo 4 cylinder that has had lots of issues, the CRV hybrid uses a naturally aspirated 2.0 4 cylinder that is much more reliable. Honda has been making hybrids for years, nearly as long as Toyota and are considered just as reliable. The new consumer reports quality rankings just came out and these are the top 5 in order, 1. Subaru 2. Lexus 3. Toyota, and 4. Honda. 5. Acura

Just purchased a '25 Pilot EX-L, AWD at 11.1% off MSRP, w/no dealer-adds for a $45k OTD. This was about $2,750 less than the dealer's original OTD quote. I was in and out in about an hour. Appreciate the timeliness of this video as it helped me know that there was still some wiggle room, despite them saying otherwise during the first round of negotiations. Note, I did not shop dealers as the one I purchased from was close enough to my house and the OTD was more than agreeable + 2.9% financing and their year-end push to move cars. That does not sound like a good deal to me the '25 EX-L, AWD I looked at today had an MSRP of $38,305 take 10% off of that and it would be about $34,475 add tax (.05 for me) reg. and doc fee the OTD price would about $37,197. I would say you got screwed but did not get kissed

Honda Hybrids are way better than their 1.5's lol I worked at Honda and I rarely see hybrids in the shop. It's usually the 1.5 or just fuel pump recalls.

I have a Honda Accord hybrid, it is one of the best cars I've ever had. It now has 98,000 mi on it. The last time I went to a dealer for oil change. They said there was nothing to recommend the car was just in excellent condition.
A 2014 Accord Hybid owner here. This car is the best Honda I've ever owned, and I've owned many. I get 42 MPG with no expensive repairs. It would take a lot for me to even consider another car.

Bunch of us have the brand new 2019 Odyssey with a buggy software, battery issue and suspension. Unless they fixed these issues, I personally hated Odyssey because of that and I was a long time Honda fan since I was a kid. Mind you I knew about the small issues before buying the car like the cvt transmission not being smooth , jerky, and I still bought it

I know you weren’t asking me but I’ve been looking for an economy hybrid and it was between Toyota and Honda. Almost decided on the civic but I’m probably gonna go with a Corolla or Camry cause Toyota hybrids do not use the expensive lithium ion batteries they use the cheaper NiMH batteries. The cost to replace is about 40% more expensive. Otherwise I would have gone with civic because they are supposed to be a bit more fun to drive. Just something to consider.
FYI, I just bought one, got 2.2-2.3k off in DC plus a $500 rebate for 2.7-2.8k, no add ons. My OtD with dc taxes (1% on this vehicle) was 33265. Some tips for leverage. I was told by one dealer that: Invoice is 1200 off Holdback is another 500 Then they get another 200 for financing with Honda Then add the doc fee for a base level of profit they have. They also may get incentives for X#of units sold which will boost profit more. I had another dealer who matched that me deal I got too. That’s two dealers who did 2.7-2.8k off on this car. MSRP was 34500. OTD I got was 33265(~400 in sales tax though)

Actually the issue with the Honda is the ICE cars, in particular the 1.5 T engine. Oil dilution issues, the Hybrid use the 2.0 engine at least in the Accord.
What is up with the disrespect for the Honda Ridgeline? I literally rode in a 2019 that towed a big camper from Mississippi to Florida and it was smooth as hell. No issues and did it easily. What more does it need to do?

For a not a truck, the Ridgeline has a 3/4 ton payload and fits 8 ft sheets of plywood ON the bed. How many light trucks do that. It also doesn't have a cheesy Turbo that's gonna break. I still see a lot of old Ridgelines on the road, being used very much like trucks. The title should read "DON'T Watch this Video Before Buying a Vehicle".
If your definition of a 'Truck' is WAY overpriced (70k) vehicle that gets 15mpg, rides, corners, and vibrates like your in a 7.5 earthquake, breaks down all the time, is so large most can't keep it in their lane, and turns to crap in snow or ice,...........then ya, the Ridgeline is not a REAL truck.

@ChesterSm-ge1hb I had a Pilot a couple years ago. It was a great car. There's some major engine issues with the current model v6, though.
