As a business owner, I completely agree with how Tomi handled this. If I ever, ever hear an employee speaking like this to a client I immediately stop the interaction and then after, we have a discussion about perception.
That's what this is about, perception and solidarity. These things generate confidence and trust in the customer and is critically important.
This point was proven when Tomi asked for the manager to verify the vehicle had indeed been sold. The trust was spoiled.
These frustrations must be kept in house, otherwise no one will want to do business with you.

      Lets talk about the timeline
3 min He throws her under the bus for giving him the wrong color
4:20 He throws her under the bus for not building a profile and says she isn't good at her job
4:36 I give her a compliment (She is nice) He takes another dig at her
4:50 He realizes that Princess did her job and the profile was there..... (so all the previous complaints are unwarranted)
4:50 I told the dude he owed her an apology
5:25 He says "You can ask anyone, we all have our problems with the BDC"
5:40 I respond to this comment, of course you'd all complain
5:48 She is new, she doesn't know what to do some times
6:00 I ask if he was ever new
I am going to stop here for a second. Every time something has happened, dude through his employee under the bus. In the first 6 min of this video this guy has threw her under the bus 5 times, and almost all of these are unwarranted and are unprompted. Yes the dude is going to get roasted.
On this channel you guys love to watch BDC and sales employee be VERY bad at their job. It's entertaining and I get that. But this was a BDC that did good, and if none of this was ever brought up by the sales person the customer would of felt NONE of this. I didn't notice the customer profile was built, I didn't know anything about the color being miscommunicated.
Someone is trying to spend 125k at your dealership, you treat them like royalty and make sure none of the mistakes are felt. You deal with these internally, not just complain to them to your customer that has no care about this. It's not a great way to treat your employees, or your teammates. And yes I will call it out.

I mean I get that the dude was in the wrong and you corrected him as a manager yourself didn’t see that as comments needed to be said to a consumer.. but dang man, that was a little overdone.. I’m not saying he didn’t deserve to be straightened out on his choice of words but once he said it, you say your peace, finalize talks and notify a manger and let them handle it.. not draw it out as it’s not really your place.. it’s the supervisor of the sales personnel to deal with this behavior..

Sorry I don’t like it when people get into the business of others and that’s exactly what you did Tomi.
You were there to get numbers on a vehicle and in my opinion you disrespected him after you were sarcastic with Princess just because of her name. You were way off base sir.

Car dealers have been around for decades and still love being a running joke. How many mf do you have to talk to to get a price? Ridiculous
