As a business owner, I completely agree with how Tomi handled this. If I ever, ever hear an employee speaking like this to a client I immediately stop the interaction and then after, we have a discussion about perception. That's what this is about, perception and solidarity. These things generate confidence and trust in the customer and is critically important. This point was proven when Tomi asked for the manager to verify the vehicle had indeed been sold. The trust was spoiled. These frustrations must be kept in house, otherwise no one will want to do business with you.

I didn't get my feelings hurt, I wanted to verify the car wasn't just "sold" because I called him out. He unprompted called out his teammate for no reason, to a customer that had 0 complaints about the other person. It's unprofessional, rude, and yes I will defend a employee that frankly did her job better than 95% of people I talk to on the phone INCLUDING Charlie.

Those two things are not remotely the same thing. We as consumers have the right (and SHOULD) publicly critique businesses. That is the entire point of things like Google reviews and Yelp.
