Funny I was about to warranty my 1 year old drill. Then it says chucks are not covered along with a huge list of other things. Pretty much nearly the entire drill lol

Awesome job on the repair, looks amazing.. Now you can use the nifty throwing handle near the back to launch it off a tall building into the abyss.. I always presumed that's the point of those handles at least.

I know it’s pricey… but can I send my childhood T1950CT from California to wherever you are? Same issues… but… disabled and can’t really repair it on my own! Would also be cool to see you running MenuetOS and/or KolibriOS on it! ArcaOS for OS/2, WIN32, WIN16, Linux subsystems…. NetBSD for a lightweight BSD?! (Or OpenBSD). And then… games?! And external monitor?! For all of the above?!

I fixed one yesterday. I recapped it and it didn’t fix my speed variation problem. What did fix it was spraying contact cleaner on the on/off speed switch. Right after that it held the speed correctly.

NewtonOS 1.x worked much better with cursive. 2.x's improved handwriting recognition was more optimized for standard "print" writing. 2.x's handwriting engine is the same one present in iPadOS today.

Excellent Job, and about the only other way is to cut it off, but that is really dicey, and I would only do it on an older nastier drill. Your drill here is in like new condition. DeWalt should be ashamed on this whole drill chuck issue, but it looks like newer drills have improved, at least in the case of runout issues. Put a Rohm chuck on it next time! Peace! 👍

The two issues with this old table. The Dearing ring which sits directly under the tonearm gimble( they break) second, the stauerpimple a tiny rubber cup on a post that the lifting paddle moves to set the tonearm down -lift at end of record. I'm working with some engineers on the ring replacement. Also, the cartridge sled ( where connections from cart to tonearm are made) goes really bad on wiring. There are sellers on ebay for new sleds.

I have a Proton deck with a similar slide out mechanism. I recapped it, replaced the bulb, and it works well.

Looks like something I wouldn't do. I can get lost and toss it away

Thanks for this video, very interesting type of speakers. The only manufacturer, what I know, uses this up fire speaker system is Temporal Coherence. I once listen to them and they sound phenomenal.

Growing up with such slow UIs on everything digital, I always laugh when I see people complaining about games dropping to 119FPS or the like (although the criticism is of course justified for todays prices).
