Ha ha - the stop motion screws took this to the next level! I’ve got some actual snowboard/ski wax & an edge filing tool if you want to fine tune it a bit more :)
all you needed was an edge tuner and it wouldve taken it off in a few passes. take the board to a shop so the base can be ground down evenly and put a fresh coat of wax on it should be good!
This was the first video of his I saw, I take it from the comment and all the computer stuff in the background his niche isn't snowboard restoration. I was surprised at the glide he got with the candle wax😂. But you're right a proper edge tune and base grind/wax would've done wonders. And some new bindings. I cringed when the makita sander was put to the base and the edges😂. He was definitely going for looks and did a good job with that!

This was soooo satisfying to watch!! Seeing that snowboard come back to life was awesome! My fav had to probably be the stop motion screws 🙌
Trying something a bit different!
Bindings on the wrong foot
underrated video, good work!
Thanks!
Marvelous! And I love the wee ride at the end on the snow, it really closes out the episode :-) Nice work Johann!
Thanks!!
Great job! I agree with what someone else said the stop motion screws were great!!
Fun to try something different!
Yes the bindings are on the wrong feet need to swap them over 😊

Great makeover. 😁
Thanks!!
Finally a repair video without a leaky Varta battery!
Still plenty of corrosion though!
Nice video! Would have been great to have heard which products you used to clean the board.
Thanks! I used isopropyl alcohol to clean off the sticker residue and finished up with window cleaner.
Bindings are the wrong way round. You got them going RL instead of LR…
I just found a snowboard in a unit, could you tell me the chemicals you use, that were in the spray bottle?
Just window cleaner I think. Any spray and wipe type product will work. I used isopropyl alcohol for the stubborn stickiness.
The best kind of purchase, the one that costs nothing but gives everything
Well said!
Can you just use Candle Wax???
What's the point of wax anyway?
- To prevent snow from sticking to the board?
- Or just to make it slide easier/faster?
Absolutely you can. Save a coupla bucks. Keeps your board sliding nice 😊
Can you name all of the tools you used?
I tried giving them all names, but they still won’t come when called!
@@TheBasementChannel thanks for the laugh haha, I meant to say provide links

That old thing has value.
Good job Johann !
Thanks!!
Is that how the back went out?
It always seems like a good idea in my head
😂
