- Hi! Big thanks to www.pcbway.com for sponsoring this video
For the second time I pull apart my recently acquired Atari 520STfm to repair the S-video mod I managed to stuff up last time.
After replacing an inductor and an IC I manage to fix the issue.
Plus some bad gameplay of Fantasy World Dizzy.

That handicam setup is hilariously cool!
If it works , it works!😅
Nice fix! I'm impressed by the daisy chain to get video capture working. Now if you could just find a shirt that doesn't hurt my eyes....
😵💫
FireWire FTW! Glad you got it working. Well done you!
Yay!
Nice save cus! love watching ya vids, keep up the great work - pcbway looked pretty interesting too.
Thanks mate! I enjoy seeing your projects too, keep tinkering ☺️
Glad you got it working!! Have you looked at a retroTink to sort your video -> something you can watch it on issue? That’s what I use to go from s-video to hdmi
I’ve actually got a RGB to VGA converter now, so the whole S-Video drama is redundant 🙄

@@TheBasementChannel 😀👍
There are a lot of SVIDEO/Composet to HDMI converters out there. Just get one. I use one for a few of my devices.
But that would introduce another analog to digital step, further degrading quality.
@@TheBasementChannel I paid $9 for the best one I use and I see no applicable difference to a native solution I have and it is a bit better looking to my eyes. I got some more expensive ones that where not as good. I can't seem to find where the hell I got that good one from.
@@michaelcloutier2225 seems like a great deal. If you figure out where it came from be sure to report back!
