📚 14 REASONS TO STUDY IN LUND, SWEDEN 🇸🇪
Moving to a new city for your studies can be terrifying -- I personally didn't know anything about Lund and had never been to Sweden before, until I moved here for my master's degree. After 2 years of living here, I can honestly say that Lund is a wonderful and welcoming place to study. If you're a prospective student, I hope this video gives you a better idea of what it's actually like to live here 😌
love,

Moving to Brussels ✨ how i made my cheap basement room look cozy

Hi friends 💕 I moved to Brussels last November and found this very cheap room (300€!!) which I tried to make *extra* cozy, considering it's located in the basement of an old house. it took some time and a lot of overthinking... especially since I had a specific aesthetic in mind and I was on a tight budget, after spending most of my saving on my futon bed lol (sleep is important!! best mattress...

    I did mine myself 2 days ago, and I did all my piercings myself, and I absolutely love it! Lip is still a bit swollen and bruised, so be prepared for a fat lip when you get this done. I love this girl so much but the piercing is very off centre, I wouldn't be happy with that placement 😬

    I want a lip piercing sooo bad but can’t make up my mind what I want done because of my gums and teeth. I saw a person post getting theirs and I am hooked on the idea!! I have both sides of my nose done and my septum. Those are the only facial ones I have however how can you hide it if in a formal setting? My mother is engaged and doesn’t exactly have a date set but I know she’d throw such a big fit if I get it and can’t hide it since she already hates my gauges and colorful hair 😔

    • @teawithromy
      @teawithromy Місяць тому

      Hi, I totally get your worries! I think the vertical labret would be a good fit in that situation because it doesn't affect your gums and teeth (since it's a surface piercing). In terms of hiding, you can still hide it based on the method i showed in the video (putting a transparent retainer in it), that's what I do when I visit my parents' home! However, you would need to wait at least 3 months (preferably longer) to hide it since the piercing needs to heal fully before you change the jewelry often. If the wedding takes place soon, i'd recommend you wait 🙏 I hope this helps! good luck 💕✨

    Tnx for your decluttering video, you've a method that's very relaxing for me, simple, no pressure, that's what I need. I've AuDHD, and one of my 'natural traits' is hoarding, and it's difficult to start a job, and when I'started, I can't stop. Btw, nice vertical labret, modest size, suits you very well! 🕊

      Hi, thanks for your comment! 🥰 decluttering is definitely a challenge, especially when you have a habit of hoarding. I happy the video inspired you to take it slowly and relieve any pressure. On the topic of food, I feel too few people here take advantage of the fact that we're in the middle of some of northern Europe's best farmlands. Most of the local farms sell their produce directly from the farm (there's usually a shed or similliar just outside the farms). You typically just go in, take what you need, and swish them the value. You obviously can't find everything this way, and it's a bit of a trip to bike around to different farms for potatoes, onions and garlic, for instance, but I still feel it should be encouraged. There's also a shop just outside of town that only sells local produce (at least from Scania, but mostly from the commune and surrounding communes): www.google.com/maps/place/R%C3%A5bytorp+G%C3%A5rdsbutik/@55.6866998,13.2581018,15.26z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x4653976b4594a24f:0xbdbd74619996320b!8m2!3d55.6862906!4d13.2604267!16s%2Fg%2F1hc1t7xx1?entry=ttu

I trusted him with my entire soul as he did my septum piercing and i think he did an amazing job. The pain was actually less then i expected but still a little painful. Now, the thing that just irritates me is that the lower part bleeds a little and i'm tired of cleaning it every 2 minutes, but i think it's worth it❤️

    Thank you for your very helpful information. I am helping my son do research about studying in Europe (Sweden). I am a German citizen, my wife is a US citizen with a Chinese/Vietnamese background and my son is a US and German (EU) citizen. I see Lund as a strong contender because of its location (close to Malmo and Copenhagen; fairly close to Germany) As such, feedback from people who have actually lived and studied there is invaluable (even more so, if it from someone with a diverse background like yours!) When I look at studying in Sweden, I am particularly fond of the research-focused studying and the student nations. I have to be honest here: I have always seen fraternities as something undesirable, but student nations seem to just focus on the positive aspects. So, I have two questions: 1. Did you join a student nation while you studied in Lund? And, if you did, which one did you choose and why? I have looked at most of them, but some provide more information than others. My current (likely limited) impression is that Malmo nation is somewhat party-focused (nothing wrong with that!), the East/West Gota nations are less international (perfectly fine, this is Sweden after all!) and Lunds nation is somewhat more balanced. I just love it that they provide services (impressive and well-priced food from an American perspective; great events and night clubs for dancing) for students provided by students. Where were you when I was studying? ;) 2. How much Swedish should one know. Here I always feel that one should make an effort to learn some language regardless if you are just visiting. What about you? Did you learn Swedish before you went or did you just pick up some Swedish while living there? Thank you for the information your channel provides and for taking the time to read and, maybe, respond to my questions. I do realize that this video is already one year old...

    • @teawithromy
      @teawithromy 2 місяці тому

      Hi :) Thanks for your comment! to answer your questions: 1. I was part of wermlands nation because i was teaching yoga there. I rarely attended their events, or any nations events though. I enjoyed going to Smalands because it's more alternative! What you choose will be based on your preferences and what kind of events you like to go to. But you can easily visit the nations and talk to the members when you're there. 2. I did not make any efforts to learn Swedish to be honest... I just knew how to say hello/bye and thank you. I knew I was there temporarily and learning a language I'm not passionate about takes a lot of effort for me, so I chose to put my energy in other things :) But i would encourage anyone to learn the local language ofc, you get more out of the 'living abroad' experience. Take care!

    This was super interesting & something I would never have thought of to try! One similar thing I did in the past was not looking at mirrors for a whole week. I found that it really reset the way that I interact with my physical self as well as my experience of body dysmorphia : ) even when I got back to looking at mirrors after that week, I felt a bit more appreciative of my physical self, since not seeing my body made me more proactive to take care of it based on my intuitive feelings throughout the week

      Hi! I love that idea of not looking at mirrors, i feel like its a very humbling experience. It’s wonderful that it made you reconnect to yourself through your intuition. Its a very precious thing. Thanks for sharing your experience, i’m keen to try this as well! 🙏🏻🩵

    Lund is a very old city with its history going back till 990 AD. It means that the Lund stands tall, proud and firm for more than thousand years.

    Beautiful! After how many days/weeks did you change the piercing for first time?

    hi Romy! im also interested in studying in Lund, based on your experience, was the student life stressful (assignments everywhere everytime), or was it balanced with students' mental health?

      Hi :) in my experience, for my program it was pretty balanced! There’s quite a bit of work but it wasn’t overwhelming for me as I would do the bare minimum. Ofc it all depends on your personal goals and your program 🙏🏻

    I got mine done a little over a week ago. It wasn't terrible to get used to since I already have snake bites, but daaaaaayum the chapped lips!!!! I've been trying to keep them as moist as possible, but they still dry up and peel. I'm hoping this doesn't last too much longer, b/c it's def driving me INSANE!!!
