After 3 years of struggle, I finally managed to incorporate a regular practice into my life and develop a healthy relationship with meditation 🙏 It has brought so much joy into my life, and I hope it does so for you as well! 💕 If you're new to meditation, I recommend the following apps (see below) especially the Plum Village app because it's free!

Thank you for sharing your experience and tips. It really helps to hear about the pressure thing, I think a lot of us feel like me need the perfect setting, timing etc to meditate but actually it comes in such different shapes that we can taylor it to our needs.
Thanks for all the great tips! So important to not judge yourself, indeed. And I think a big one for me is patience. I just came back from a 10 day Vipassana course and there I could really see that with patience things do get better, in the sense that having the expectations that I’ll sit down and be able to focus on my breath/sensation for more than a few seconds is unrealistic at the beginning but with continuous practice (it is really a bit like working out) I will be able to increase my ability to focus. But it takes a lot of time and being patient and compassionate with oneself in the process has been really helpful😊
