    I hit 72 on 2s a couple yrs ago with a losi 22Ssct, it was epic!! I did have bigger wheels/tires and different set of gears i cant remember what pinion and spur I was running.
    Its funny I was running those same 130c gens ace batteries, they're probably the best lipo battery that you can buy.

      That is moving in 2s!
      Those Gens Ace LIPOs are good but I am really shocked how a “lower performance “ and cheaper Liperior (it is not one of their high end packs) is just as fast!

      Thank you!
      I was tempted to try the 2nd gen but didn’t like how they force you to use 4mm bullets. Also, it is 4s capable and I think if I run 4s I may destroy my Bandit when it goes into orbit.😂it is really tempting and one day I may try one but for now I am sticking with G1.
      It would be a really fun comparison though…. Maybe this fall I will get one. I wish they would send me one as I know I can get a lot of interest in their products but a lot of these big companies can’t see the forest through the trees….

      @@BriansRCStuff oh yeah I've seen outlaw drag cars break 100 on 2s, it's mind blowing. I wonder what the 2s speed record is, or if it's a stat anyone keeps up with. That could be an interesting form of speed challenge, 2s only.

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  11 місяців тому

      @@Rek_Rc seems much more attractive than going stupid fast and breaking stuff…. 100 mph or a bit more is a lot more manageable!

    That motor should only be seeing about 39k rpm. That thing is going to be nuts on 3s. Great runs. I've had that esc. Never had any issues. Even with back to back speed runs with 3s and 7700kv. If I ever get any free time I'll have some bandit speed runs coming. I went down to 2900kv so I can run 4s. And I have a perfect pass going in.

      I wanted to dislike it but it does so much really well… durable, fast, cheap parts. Hard to complain about it.

    • @njdewit

      @@BriansRCStuff After toying with cheaper stuff once I got a Rustler XL-5 - I own other (also nitro) cars, faster / "tougher", but I sort of fell in love with the model so you wouldn't recognize it as such anymore. I have big tires on it and lights but also proper electronics and SMC batteries, my goal is not so much to reach immense speeds but to have a really pretty car that balances between just driving around reasonably versatile whilst also being flipping fast. I still take this car out the most and by far buy the most parts for it. It just feels right. Love your videos, you'd probably laugh at how huge and heavy my build is but there's my challenge; like an old muscle car with big wheels ;)

    • @njdewit
      @njdewit 7 місяців тому

      @@BriansRCStuff I think that can be arranged later today :) I live in NL and not too far from home there's a really *good* (ran by true enthusiasts) RC store close by, so every month or so I pay (pun intended) them a visit. The other day I was in the market for a good long running high discharge battery and they basically said "look, honestly, they are expensive we know, but these SMC batteries really deliver on their promise". That day I bought a (I had the battery expansion installed) 8000mAh 120c 3S (Graphene Extreme V2) battery and when I plugged it in and ran I knew they weren't lying ;) Over time I got me another one of those and I also have that green 5200 mAh 'high cycly life' 150c 3S btw., which packs even more punch if you can believe it. And here I thought I'd keep it short :-)

    • @njdewit

      Whoops, I meant 'cycle' of course.

  • @smiley37greg

    Running big power is tricky, cap packs help with voltage ripple.
    The small diameter wires going from the esc to the motor are going limit amperage.
    Even though batteries are more than enough, the esc will only put out what the wires will handle. Good luck

    • @BriansRCStuff
      @BriansRCStuff  11 місяців тому

      Thanks man, I replaced the stock 14 gauge motor wires with 12 gauge on the XTeam motor I am running. I am not sure how much that helps vs stock (the stock wires were too short) but I but it doesn't hurt!

    • @thomasdevos141081
      @thomasdevos141081 5 місяців тому

      Actually, the esc will give what the motor asks, ik the wires are too thin for the current passing through them they will heat up... and yes the higher resistance of thinner wires will reduce the current
