I call this game “Red Dead: Regression”
This game was legitimately better than Red Dead Revolver.
Red Dead: Refund
You want to know where the first second installment of red dead redemption got most of its ideas ….
I actually remember playing this game on an arcade cabinet (they had an x-box inside the cabinet and a bunch of games on it) and remembering speed running the game before time ran out and I'd have to put more coins in lol.
> Complains about the game thinking that player doesn't have patience for cutscenes.
> Has not patience
Oh my god someone actually reviewed this game in 2021? This is like...
My favorite/first western game. I'll admit it didn't age to well but it's still neat imo.
Edit: i also never had this much trouble with the game as you did. I was like 8 when I played this (little underage I know) and I did the bridge section just fine.
Then again I wasn't using a shotgun aka a spread based firing weapon near a bunch of volatile explosive barrels and running off the bridge at any given moment lol
I loved this game back in its day. Tried to replay it on the hardest difficulty and I think I got about as far as the mission where you escort the howitzer to the outskirts of empire city and it was just impossible so I gave in.
when he does these he rush plays the games and also not truly focusing on the game.
Same here dude, I don't remember having that many issues with the game. I even replayed it recently too, lol.

He had way too much trouble with the game than I remember ever having. Was my first game to 100% I think.
This game kicked ass, me and my brother used to volley dynamite arrows into the field of buffalo near Colt's childhood house.
I used to blow the limbs off of bodies with the rifle you get from your step-dad
I'm not a masochist I swear.
@@jeryram9969 Haha
Shout out to Robert for giving us the closest thing to a proper Rage Quit video we've gotten in years.
it was actually a really fun game , sure it had its issues and aged quite bad but overall it was fun
No, it was not.
@@Williaso thats your opinion dude
It's crazy seeing this game so many years later! Remember I played it all the time as a kid, loved the stealth mission in particular. It's weird how I remembered everything looking so much better than it actually does lmao
The mission failed song in this game has me dying out here😂😭😭😭😂
When it was dark and I was small the big bold mission failed text and the sad music used to scare me even to this day it creeps me out I have no idea why
But still love the game
Ha! Dying.
Honestly loved this game, I know when compared to other games of it’s time, fu#king awful. However I still played the hell out of it, and truly enjoyed everything it had to offer. There weren’t a lot of Wild West games out so I do believe that helps it’s appeal.
"mother, can I get red dead redemption?"
"we have red dead redemption at home"

I remember loving this game when I was a kid.
Damn that’s a Type 3 US navy NWU, and Great Lakes cover (just graduated Navy Bootcamp so I forgot what it’s called, I’m not the smartest) love that patron! A fellow sailor!
Bro this game was awesome. You tried everything you could to make fun of it and found things only people who were trying to hate on it, would find.
That’s certainly an interesting take.
@@Beardieee It's the correct take tbh
@@GameTalesHQ my comment was from a year ago. Also…you’re wrong
@@Beardieee You never comment on an older comment? Also, fair enough. There is some jank, but it's great game imo
@@GameTalesHQ In general, I realize nobody will care about my random comment so much later on lol. You just so happened to reply to one of Williaso’s moderators who is obligated to check the comment
i love this game, i still play it time to time
The 867-5309 Jenny Reference! So clean! love it!
Holy hell on Earth, those are really dated stereotypical portrayals of Native Americans. For the 1950s.
Funhaus played this... it's funny as shit
I remember loving this game when i was Young
I enjoyed the shit out of this game to be honest. It was so fun when it first came out
I LOVED this game. Used to go scalp all the people in the town for hours as a kid

i remember this game! i was sad when mother got rid of my xbox cause I also had the 360 and my xbox copy didn't work with the 360, anyway at one point in time I got in trouble cause I liked shooting the dead bodies heads so they would pop, also I remember the final boss fight vaguely and I think I only beat it cause I accidently figured out how to hurt the boss lol
I absolutely hate long cut scenes so the short cut scenes were great
Most of the characters in game are based on real people like Hoodoo Brown and Clay Allison. JJ Webb is a real person lol. None of these names are randomly generated.
I played this when it came out , I only remember 2 things. 1st I had a good time 2nd I definitely did not fail so many times xD. Looking at this makes me wonder how did I have fun with this. I guess I was younger and simpler times.
Played the fuck out of this back then. Red Dead Revolver didn't have shit compared to it
IGN gave this game an 8/10
8/10
IGN gave this game a score of 80% good

Good job guys
This game actually wasn't bad when you played it when It released, it just aged very bad
man i suppressed the memories for this game hard
if your going with older game mabby darkwatch
My last name is actually Hodo so the fact I’ve been called Hoodoo my whole life makes sense now.
You should play the original mafia game
I'm doing this to make you a little bit mad but play ecco the dolphin defender of the future for ps2 and you'll see why it'll make you mad

bruh, ok 3 things
1st, I loved this game and never ran into any problems, and i played it on ps2
2nd, played this game to completion cuz i had so much fun fuckin about and makin money for upgrades to make myself unstoppable
3rd, it took me only 3 deaths to find out you can just hid and shoot the guy with dynamite arrows and kill him way faster
I had fun with this, it was a good portion of my childhood and loved it....and yes i played it as a kid
my mom didnt like the gore so i took it to my dads to play it
now thinking back, it was pretty bad i even had that
but it was a gift from one of our old neighbors, the dads stuff really
he gave us starwars battlfront 1&2 as well as gun and cod waw i think?
cuz of him i got to play some epic games with my lil bro for a long time
we still love playing battlefront together
and now im gonna stop before i type more then more then i was already going to, lol.

I remember playing this as a little kid. I could not figure out now to defeat the final boss for the life of me.
It's not just you. I had to look up a guide
When you completed it, you got McGruders armoured horse that couldn't die as a reward. And for some reason it couldn't die from sprinting either. If you abandon it at any point, you get a message saying it's returned to the mine where you first get it. Pretty handy. Except with nothing left to do at that point, I got bored and tested how invincible the horse was. Turns out, if you use the cavalry sword, it can be meleed to death. Abandoning the corpse still respawns it at the mine, but it's still dead. So there's just an eternal dead armoured horse just laying there
@@EvilGremlin100 Beautiful
@@EvilGremlin100 Oh great, the dead horse went home.
I figured it out by pure accident, lol.

I played this game for the first time relatively recently, and liked it. I think what determines whether you like it or not is if you're willing to cooperate with the game. If you spend your time trying to push and break the game and make it look as dumb as possible, then yeah, the game is going to be awkward and stupid. If you just go along with it though then it's a relatively smooth ride, save the few janky sections that naturally come with games of this era.
And fun fact, Hoodoo is played by Ron Pearlman.
I ALWAYS push games. If the game just breaks, that's no fun. I like playing games that let me push them because then I know that the developers made a real game and not just "an experience" where you HAVE to do it as the devs intended.
I played this game with my dad on our 360, and it's some of the fondest memories I have. I'm glad to see this hunk of shit again
I had a fuckton of good memories of this game, then i watched your video and was like: "Yeah, that was fucking stupid, i remember now!" Thank you.
I really loved this game as a kid on the xbox.... it just really really hasn't aged well. Plus as a kid it's easier to overlook all the dumb shit lol. We didn't have red dead 1 or 2 back then either.
What carried it was the western theme. If it was anything else, it would have been unplayable.
I never had the trouble with it you did. You guys just got hooked on "it's so bad" so you didn't allow yourself to see the good aspects of it... granted I barely remember any part of the game lol.
Its like one of those old, silly wild west movies wirh outrageous shit happening in it. It's not red dead 2.
What I've noticed a lot of people do when reviewing older games. Is that they apply a current view on the game rather than what was considered Cutting edge at the time. Ortho compared retro style indie game to an actual older game.
Holy shit the PC port of this is absolutely terrible!
It looks like review sites just copy/pasted other scores for it.
i played the steam port like what a year ago , was pretty stable , maybe crashed like two time
I remember loving this game a lot as a kid. I beat it multiple times over, I remember having a lot of trouble with the last boss fight
I never thought Gun would be the game that breaks Williaso's brain.
I begin literally every single CAS with "something drove me insane"
This was me and my brothers first cowboy game on the PS2. So I have very fond memories of this game. It did not age well, but I still love all the blood and action.
Someday, williaso will be doing this again and it will be like "Recently I played through Gu...sorry, i dropped a bit in my mouth.. Recently a subscriber payed me to play through Gun cause this game is so bad that he rather pay someone else to suffer that instead.."
Ahahah
This sounds so similar to the Halo 5: Guuuuuu...
Sorry, threw up a bit in my mouth...
...To the Halo 5 video, when Halo Follower forced him to play that game.
@@sebastianpedrozadesantos9078 yeah man! That's the idea! Ahaha
Dude I played this when I was younger and I loved it. But you guy also have to remember this was 2005 were people rarely got butthurt because of stereo types like it seems main player is.
Yeah unfortunately nowadays everyone is self riteous and can't love anything if it has anything that offends them
This was the first real "adult" game I played as a kid around 10 or 11 years old or so. My older cousin showed it to me and it changed video games for me, the good old days. McGruder was impossible to beat
This is the best game ever. 20/10
Basically every game F*cks you over somehow. Even when you say it doesn't, it somehow does.
I remember playing this game as a kid. I never fully finished it. So a few months ago I got it on pc and ran through it on the hardest difficulty. 100%'d the game and enjoyed every second of it. Its just such a nice open world experience. And I do actually like the story. Great game for the time. Didnt age the best but... its a ps2 game so...
Sounds like yall hate the game mostly because it offended you. People weren't easily offended back in the early 2000s.
lolno. This game was awful.
I've watched about a half dozen or more of your videos so far. And I typically find the content very funny and entertaining. But I have noticed is that you play all your games on PC. Personally I'm a console gamer. PlayStation 2 through 4 and then all the Nintendo's up to wii. Before you decide to play a game I have to wonder. Do you research what the best platform or best way to play that game is beforehand? Because honestly, this game was very fun on the PlayStation 2. Using a controller not a mouse and keyboard. And I can't recall one time in the several playthroughs I had with it of it crashing glitching or doing the stuff that I observed it doing for you. I've noticed that on some other videos of yours as well. With the Gears of War videos being the most obvious ones up to what I have seen. I lived with a friend of mine and his wife for about 4 months and in that time I cleared GoW 1- 3 on their Xbox 360 and in the evening we'd play horde mode. It was incredibly fun and satisfying and again I don't remember any glitching or crashing. Your playthrough of GUN does look like a dumpster fire. But I personally believe that's because you played it on PC. If you can play it on original hardware, or really good emulator and using a controller I think you would have a completely different and enjoyable experience. But that's just one opinion.
You just had bad luck with this one dude it is actually a pretty damn good game when it doesn't bug out on you and it rarely ever bugs out I think I had it bug out once on me and It was when I was fighting Whodo also its by the Tony hawk dudes go play some early 2000 Tony Hawks and you'll realize all of the graphics look like that Plus for being an early 2000 game it looks pretty good even though it's shit and I think there was also supposed to be an updated Graphics version of the game but the computer you would need for it would cost you 700,000 something dollars
For games of this era it's hard to trust reviews cause of all paid reviews and shit at the time
So you don't like this game?
Don't worry it's not even close to the worst thing Activision has done.
That would be the sexual misconduct clams... Oh sorry "alleged" sexual misconduct clams.
"What is this, 1993?"
Nah, Williaso, it clearly states it's 1880.
I love that you're the only one who hates the game while the whole comment section is saying it's one of they best games and don't agree with you XD
I played the game on ps2? I think it was a ps2. I liked it alot for one of the first games I've played
This game was awesome for it's time. I don't know why people are even comparing this to red dead redemption 2. Gun came out nearly 15 years before
This game is so racist 😂 I love how the main character just "knows" Apache because it's in his genetics. They called the Native Americans "indians" as well which is just 😬
"Native American Indian" is actually still a recognized title that actual Native Americans use to identify themselves
@@Williaso some do but there are many native groups that so find the term offensive so it's kind of a 50/50 thing
I don't remember having any difficulty with tge bridge section lol. I loved this game when it came out. Perhaps it's didn't age well
Are we not going to talk about the cannons? What kind of river boat just casually has cannons on it?
This deserves a Remake.
8:46 goddamn that's one sharp razor, he sliced halfway through her neck
OMG I LOVED THIS GAME AS A KID AND SUNK HOURS INTO IT!!!

I was doing better than this guy . When i was 12 years old 😂😂
Oh shit this game slaps. It was a mess sometimes but a lot of fun as well.

I loved this game when I was a kid.
I was missing 1 fucking gold pile. 1.
I remember loving this game when I was like 9 on the ps2. Doubt it aged well from what I remember of it, but it has a place in my child heart from back then.

I remember playing this game on the ps2 when I was a kid. This video is exactly how I remember it.
Thank you, and hoodoo, webb, and redebaugh are named after real outlaws
It was very janky, but I liked it ^^
When’s the doom eternal one coming out
When it's done
the man does not lie
I love this game i played it on Ps2 and Pc i wish they make a remake of it.
Ps: this game is not bad you guys just love to talk trash about anything.
That's what "Completely Accurate Summary" is. There is usually a real thoughts video without the sarcasm.
Please do resident evil 7 or 8. I just feel like the plot is perfect for this series lol
Why start at 7?
@@Williaso because you have no sense of order
I don’t understand referring to them as “Native American stereotypes” and not just saying Native Americans? How should they be portrayed?
Red Dead chose to delete them from existence. Is that better?
As a game developer in this situation, you’re damned if you do and damned if you don’t.
if people don't want to watch the cut scene, then why dont we make it as short and inconvenient to watch as possible then they will be FORCED TO WATCH it.
-this games development team in a nutshell
How did you manage to hate one of the greatest games ever made ?
this is no where NEAR even one of the most mediocre games ever made
i feel the need to point out no matter how shit this may be ,Remember red dead redemption doesn't teach you how to use dead eye UNTIL MEXICO
This is my favorite western game because of all those movie tropes being like those old westerns, and how much red dead took inspiration from it. Maybe not the most correct game, and the developers apologized for it, it’s basically an Eastwood movie but in game form.
This was actually one of my all-time favorite games I actually have it for the PS2 it was much better on the PS2 than the PC that's probably why you didn't like it but even though you guys hated the game I thought this video was utterly hilarious
This game was legit when it came out I remember being blown away at the graphics and the amount of stuff you could do.
I look at it now...... did it really look like that? Hahaha selective memory
