This is a rare time for me to hear a 911 dispatcher reassure a caller that help was on the way before asking more questions. This is what every 911 caller should do, ASSURE the caller help is on the way so they can be comforted and will answer more questions knowing help is coming while they are talking on the phone.
I’m gonna copypasta my response to another comment like yours just in case you’re curious. I can offer some insight on this as a former firefighter & medic as well as fire & EMS dispatcher that’s answered tens of thousands of 911 calls. First things first, often what you hear on these videos has been edited down by either the originating agency, the TV / news production, or UA-camr. Also a 911 call for a scene that needs police and EMS will usually involve 2-4 different dispatchers on the call at various times, usually EMS is added last because we “own the call” until we obtain our info and give any necessary life saving instructions then hand over to LE who has been on the call listening. But because of this it can be really stressful for someone that’s never called 911 before to get bounced around so much and asked to repeat the same info. Thirdly, often times it’s not clear which dispatcher we’re listening to on these videos. They may have already spoken to EMS so we’re now hearing the law enforcement dispatcher get their info and as the callers already been told help is on the way there’s no need to keep doing that. As for this specific call, it’s also edited and sounds like a couple three chunks have been cut. It’s of the EMS dispatcher and it sounds like she’s also an EMD, or Emergency Medical Dispatcher. EMDs is the international gold standard for EMS dispatching and involves specialized training and certification of every dispatcher as well as an on going quality review process. For example at my agency 100% of any major calls were reviewed plus a minimum percentage chosen at random every month. There’s also EFD and EPD although EPD is not nearly as common as EMD and EFD. Part of the training up front is how to handle callers, recognizing background clues , how to naturally flow through the questioning so it doesn’t sound like a KGB interrogation, and even how to match the callers energy. For example how I’d speak to a child is very different from the tone and volume I would use on an adult that’s being a little bitch and not wanting to help someone that’s literally dying in front of them. The latter can be really jarring to listen to but it’s by design to “snap” the caller out of their state and get them to follow instructions, but this is rare. A nice advantage of the quality assurance / quality improvement process is when a dispatcher has had a rough call the senior dispatchers listen to it, review it, and offer feedback which is invaluable especially for junior dispatchers. The downside of EMD/EFF is *it’s expensive* and often times out of the reach of rural / small town agencies that have limited budget for dispatch because dispatch is always a money pit. Unfortunately there are ZERO national or state standards or requirements related to 911 dispatchers so these rural / small agencies on their best day offer a significantly lower level of service than nearby agencies with a more middle class population. Anyway, I hope this sheds some light as a general overview without droning on too much.
@@cruisinguy6024 calling tech support or customer service and getting bounced around is upsetting enough, I can't imagine calling 911 in a crisis and being tossed around, having to repeat myself numerous times just desperately trying to get help. So it's not worth every dispatcher simply stating a reassuring phrase ? More often than not dispatchers are rude, demeaning, screaming at callers, and saying "calm.down" 100 times isn't going to help someone calm down. Human to human, seeking life and death help, there should be at minimum, a shred of compassion. @@loganjones5764 I've seen the ripping and it's usually only done when the caller gets frustrated with 100 questions before being told help is on the way. When we hear the call it's like we are there too and are just as frustrated as the caller who wants help. Often the ripping seems very called for. In situations like this it was great to hear the 911 operator say up front that help is on the way before she got into the 100 questions.
I feel like they need training on how NOT to treat callers just as much as they need training on what to say/ask. Perhaps some role playing where they are the ones calling 911 while in peril or need of assistance and be treated with disdain and apathy by the operator would drive the message home!?!?

@@badonebadone4778same thought process! I've watched many true crime where the call has been fake because the partner did it and comments are usually like "that was so obviously fake". But now they seem more true to life after listening to that poor guy and his reaction to that terrible scene

The dogs were indoor heartbroken. The 911 call with the husband having to shoo the dogs away from their human mama’s body💔This lady was so very loved by her husband and dogs, it is sad the son is so crazy and violent
My heart breaks I’m in tears watching this. Is heartbreaking to see the crime scene and hear how gone and emotionless he is. I’m devastated at the loss of his mom. It’s horrific to know I’ve been in the room he murdered her in. I used drugs with him when we were teenagers and he was the only one who didn’t get clean. He had this look in his eyes that was just scary. The last time I saw him I was eating at the Mexican restaurant in town right across from his neighborhood. He walked in looking for a job and he was obviously high. So glad he didn’t stop and try to talk to me. He would also make a bunch of different account with different names and try to talk to me and my friends and have to block him again. His daughter is 10 this year. I just cannot believe this case was covered. It is just so close to home 😢
I have worked in Emergency Rooms, and sometimes after really devastating news….family members will ask the same question over and over, as if the sheer emotional force temporarily blocks their memory. Doesn’t happen all the time, some say they get the opposite effect and every detail of when they heard the terrible news is vividly remembered….but it does happen.
Live in the area and the local news did a pretty good job keeping the public updated on all the details that unfolded. The Humane Society had a hiring notice for her position for a while. So incredibly sad.
Seriously. I’ve thought the same thing watching these true crime stories. I remember the case of Kirby Anthony, a monster in Alaska who killed his Aunt (bio Uncle’s wife) and their 2 little daughters (aged 4 & 7 I believe) after SA’ing the three of them. He went to Burger King after spending hours in their house, brutalizing them. I remember thinking while reading the book about the case “I can’t imagine being the BK drive thru worker who has to testify in court bc she served him minutes after he did that. The girl must be really freaked out!”
This is crazy to me. My older brother is a hardened criminal. In and out of prisons for the last 20+ years. Lived in several half way houses as well. He would NEVER betray our mother. She passed several years ago and it broke him. He straightened up after her death. This guy is a monster. Moms have our backs and love unconditionally. Just sick.
@caylia9989 How the hell do you know her brother was not a psychopath or evil that person said their brother was a career criminal in and out of jail for 20 years he sure is not no angel. That person never said what the brother did just because he did not do things to his mother that sure as hell don't mean he did not do evil things to other people
This is a sad case! I dont understand why he would do something so terrible! My heart goes out to the family. He should have gotten LIFE! An Eye for an Eye!
I'll never understand how anyone could harm their parents. My parents were absolutely hopeless and did a very poor job of raising me. I wasn't shown any love, my Dad was an alcoholic who would hit me with a horse whip and my Mum was so overbearing and controlling that i was in a state of anxiety and distress a majority of the time. But not once did it enter my head to hurt them, let alone kill them!
Gonna be honest my parents sound almost exactly like yours and I did think about hurting one of them. But you gotta be able to filter those thoughts out and reject them.
I love how he thought he’d have a chance to escape after the hospital. But why would you expect a loser who murdered his own mother to come clean and admit to wrong doing. He’s never been accountable for anything, why change for some detectives and be a man now.
She works for the humane society and has dogs, seems like a decent lady living her life. A good life. So unfortunate that she's not the first woman to give birth to her murderer. I'm so sorry to her husband and children for their loss.❤
When she comes down from the drugs he'll definitely start feeling pressure then.. but in those jails in Idaho they get drugs inside so he'll just be back on them again!
Just started watching you for a bit, i really love how you start the video by paying respects to the victim and their loved ones. A lot of other true crime channels. We'll almost patronizing to the victims and their family.
My mom died in 1980; I'm 58 years old & still grieve. Its weird how, as long as I don't think about it, I'm fine. If I allow myself to remember, I'm crying in moments. Losing my mother destroyed my life & my family. So many bad things happened because she wasn't there to protect her children. It's s impacted 3 generations now.
My mom passed suddenly from a heart attack six years ago in March. I miss her terribly, and I think of her everyday. And here we have this ungrateful monster killing his mom, because she was making him be accountable. Disgusting.
It's incredible how modern technology (cameras/cell phones/DNA) have solved so many cases. Imagine how many murders went unsolved even 50-60 years ago...
What's also incredible, is the fact that people actually think they can get away with crimes with all the technology we have nowadays. People are stupid. 🤦♂️
My mom is not perfect by any means, I still struggle as an adult with childhood trauma mainly because of my mom , I’d never unalive someone no matter what, I went no contact 2-3 years ago and that is the best decision I ever made, I hope I never understand those people who tend to harm others cuz there is literally endless possibilities and solutions to go with conflict , I hope the inmates take care of him if you catch my drift
Is it common, the law, that hospital personnel are not told what the perpetrator is suspected of? Wonder if it depends on the state. Hope the cops stay in the hospital room, God help us.
I would love to know how people get hold of these interviews and body camera footage and court documents. This is so well put together it must take an amazing amount of work. Big respect!

I miss her daily and I still cannot sleep for more than a hour at night without getting up and going through my house and checking my kids and my husband to make sure they are ok. I do this all night long every night still to this day 2 in a half years later. How can some one do this???
Man, every time I've woken up in the hospital, covered in blood and handcuffed to a bed I've immediately called for my lawyer. Got me out of a lotta problems I tell you what.

he stayed with me and my room mate for two months trying to get clean at one point but of course we ended up kicking him out. I feel so so awful for his mama and just whole family in general I can't even imagine.. meth is no excuse for what he did but i put about 80% of the blame on it. very surreal, I'm sorry for the paragraph but I just had to say something to someone about it.

I thought the same thing. Now THAT'S a good dispatcher!
That was my first thought!!!
Your answer was not helpful, it was more like "we have a lot of work to do and don't have show any sort of humanity in this industry" making excuses that there are multiple dispatchers on one call is not a reasonable excuse to be rude and dehumanizing in a crisis situation.

I like the way you laid out this video.
A little taste of the end then flashback to tell the story.
Nice job
I don't understand how people can do this to their mom. My mom passed away on February 18th 2022 setting at my table from congestive heart failure and i found her. I have cried so many times and am so heart broken over her death. I miss her daily and I still cannot sleep for more than a hour at night without getting up and going through my house and checking my kids and my husband to make sure they are ok. I do this all night long every night still to this day 2 in a half years later. How can some one do this???
🙏
I lost my mom from the same thing in January 2022. Its still hard. My prayers and heart goes out to you and your family 💔😢
Many people disregard their moms and kill their mom soul. How do people treat there mom as throw away garbage
I'm so sorry. I am literally in tears thinking of what you went through.
Baffles me, how often people act surprised about being recorded EVERYWHERE 😮
Literally, even in your own home. Quite dystopian
@@generalmarkmilleyisbenedic8895 yessssss!!!!
Man, every time I've woken up in the hospital, covered in blood and handcuffed to a bed I've immediately called for my lawyer. Got me out of a lotta problems I tell you what.
That 911 call is heartbreaking
Wow, he’s only 26?! Time has been marching straight across his face.
💯💯
LOL!
Seriously, I'm 40 and look 5 years younger than him ... I look young for my age, but no 40 year old should look younger than a guy in his mid 20s ... He's gonna look like an old man when he's my age!!
Drugs are bad. M'kay?
@@topspot4834 Lol it's always funny when someone announces they look young for their age.
I hate when they call it life. When their eligible for parole after 40 years
Levi is a sociopath. Poor mother, I feel bad for her.
That call was heartbreaking 😢
The slight detail that he parked his car away from the crime scene when he normally would never do that tells me that he knew his intent before walking in there.
He didn't park it away like he normally does...he pulled into the driveway instead - which was odd to the neighbor
Truly creepy, some peepoe are cold as the seventh circle of hell...
Just what I needed before bed, thanks again for a educational, emotional & ajarring upload Beyond Evil..! 🖤
Take care of each other, be safe 🤘🏻
Excellent video on this case. Thank you for the coverage!
I can't even imagine raising my voice at my mom. This a PEAK example of a Real Life Evil Monster.
I like how the producer spends time creating these documentaries. Well done!
