@@Yaboy-the-3rd it may also mean someone who has played the game a lot, and may want something that involves more “skill expression” vs what would help a beginner during “early runs” (anything before reaching *redacted* basically)
First time i ever beat Hades was using Aphro Call .... the full guage damage is crazy. It helped so so much. I reached max gauge twice and i couldnt stop telling my friend about how OP it is. Its definitely a call reserved for boss fights. In that regard, it is my favorite. I think the dileneating factor here is that youre a pro who speed runs hades like cake and i just beat the man himself for the first time ever. For someone in my position (underleveled weapon aspects, mirror of night not maxxed, etc etc) -- 2500 damage is WILD. I agree with that comment saying tier lists need 3 versions, one for beginner, one for advanced, and maybe one for fun
Artemis' call is really good in one build-Hunting Blades. It opens up that duo boon AND the rifts do so many hits that you can charge it to max very quickly
It's solid with any high dps build, really. It's good with Hangover or chain lighting as well on fists/rail. As well as a lot of Zues Shield builds. It's great burst, and you should have it up pretty regularly if you're dealing constant dps.
My dissenting view on Aphro call hinges on getting the Zeus-Aphro duo for fast charm spam. That with a few other support call boons and a pom or two, and dad can't bring himself to hit you. He just loves you too much. Without that duo, I concede the Charm doesn't happen often enough to be effective mitigation, and its only really effective on heroes and dad fight.
The freest run I've ever had involved Poseidon call with the Zeus - Aphrodite duo. I pommed the boon that extends the call duration a bunch and basically, I could be on my water scooter nearly indefinitely. Love Poseidon's call.
Another little thing about [REDACTED] call: it causes enemies to repeat their last attack when used. This makes it a little dangerous but also incredibly useful for speedrunners during the [REDACTED] fight especially. It can help you avoid the “darkness” move where the boss is invulnerable, because you can have them repeat a long attack instead.
Aphrodite's call is great before you gain access to the companion summons. There are not a lot of ways to deal that much damage to bosses and mini-bosses to save you in a fight that's taking too long. I used it to beat papa Hades the first time. But it does lose out once you have any of the summons and don't have to rely on the god gauge to deal burst damage.
thats a very good video! well explained and I really appreciate that you went through the effort to insert clips of the call boons in action ! it makes it easier to understand what they do
The only notable omission to me was when you brought up the followup boons for Zeus, but left out Billowing Strength. It's not the highest bonus damage, but it's pommable and with a build that hits quickly it's basically 100% uptime after the first call.
I remember in one of my earliest wins, aphro aid + smoldering air carried my ramshackle build by almost stunlocking Hades. Funny and I'll always cherish that boon for that sole purpose.
I'd use Hades Call a fair bit more if it didn't eat the keepsake slot. Would have loved to have seen him have a full boon pool that shows up after the post-game plot resolves, give dad more opportunity to bicker with his family, etc.
It's very good when your build is complete and you feel confident enough not to need acorn or skelly tooth for the final fight. And you haven't taken a call yet of course. It gives you double damage for a significant amount of time, it goes crazy on burst damage builds like dio cast beowulf
Just wanted to say I really appreciate all your videos, just got my first 50 heat clear a few minutes ago, largely because I learned from your vids. On another note, I kind of like aphrodites boon. I find the charm useful for some enemies, the bulls charge and the chariots are some of the worst things for me, and the charm will stop the bull or the chariot if it's about to hit u. Other boons can make you invulnerable and save you as well, but then you have that 2500 damage to use on bosses.
Ares call feels amazing when I do a hunting blades run and have the other blade boons. It feels similar to Zeus in that if you are already going in that direction it's amazing, but dissimilar in that I'd never pick it alone.
Poseidon's call with Rip Current, the boon that increases it's length, is a stellar call to have. It does make it weaker to need the second boon, but the secondary boon is by far the best tier 2 boon of any god, no contest. Rip Current slaps, and I love taking it!
I think you can compare Poseidon's Aid with Rip Current and 2 poms on each to any other combo of call+boon with 4 poms and the former just blows it away. And Rip Current is like Glacial Glare where pom returns just don't drop off and you can keep pomming it forever for crazy results.
As someone who will often take Artemis' call when I can and will often pass up Zeus' call, I understand completely why they were placed where they were. I'm a newb (not even heat 5 on any weapon) who rarely uses calls in regular fights, so I usually only get around to using them in boss fights when they reach max. That's partially because I used to focus all Artemis boons when I very first started playing so I was used to my single charge being bad. Also, Zeus' call made me play too reckless when I first was using it because I had to get closer than I was comfortable with to get the lightning to always hit in boss rooms (especially when fighting Hades).
same, but i recently learned that the beauty of not charging the gauge to full is billowing strength and second wind, which i also always skipped. if you use high damage calls at the minimum charge, you can actually become super strong
I love the final call (spoilers). It eliminates the call boons so I get what I want faster, and it's a got offense for quicker fights or defense for longer. The 30% call gauge meter helps tremendously, and you can usually full charge it once a room, sometimes twice in boss fights. If you get any boons that increase the charge speed, you can use it even more as well. I think it's just a good all round call that also gives me better boon odds, so I like that consistency. It also just feels right.
I think the thing that prevents me from taking it most of the time is that it blocks the keepsake spot, and just default to equip something else. Maybe I should give it another try someday. Plus it looks like it would probably trigger a line of dialog at some point and I'm curious.
It does indeed have some dialouge, and some funny lines if you use it versus Hades with a full meter. I take it off for some specific runs I want to try, but use it when I just want some hades with no particular goal other than fun or when I am unsure of what build I want. If I do swap it, it's usually for Persephone's keepsake in styx.@@filiaaut
Well, Ares’ call came in clutch for me last night. In fairness I was also running the seeking blades and had been granted Ares’ legendary, but with all 4 of those blade rifts running on Hades at once he just melted.
Aphros call plus smoldering air Duo boon plus extra auto meter gain is so cheesy at low heats and boss fights that you can stun lock them forever. Zeus aid is my best one too.
Your reasoning for Artemis call definitely isn't wrong. For clearing rooms, it's pretty weak. For me, clearing rooms (38 heat) is rarely an issue. My personal challenge is having enough damage to beat Hades on EM4, double forced overtime, buffed health and damage. Having that fool proof, instant CHUNK of damage without being forced to stay upclose for a prolonged period of time is so helpful. C is understandable.
aphrodite call has saved me a run or two against Hades because of the burst damage. But yeah, past that on a room by room basis, I almost never used it.
The only thing I'd change is having Poseidon and Demeter swap spots, but I may just be bad at aiming the Poseidon call. Agreed with the comment on Aphro being decent early on before you have companion summons as a clutch boss room source of damage (I wasn't winning those fights very fast anyway).
Aphrodite's Call cancels target's attack animation and that is insanely strong. With enough damage output and good reflexes you can make REDACTED not perform any dangerous move against you, because you cancel it whenever you see it coming.
Demeter's call actually is good for taking out Hades' skull cast he places on the battlefield. The winter vortex can hit them if activated close to the skull casts. You give up invulnerability to hit the targets that cause a lot of damage(and would warrant needing invulnerability in the first place). So Hade's call still gives you invulnerability? I'd like to try it more but you have to give up a keepsake to use it. It's a hard choice.
I only used it to rank up his keepsake for the steam achievement, but if you manage to make it to Styx without a call, it's worth taking it just for the voice lines when you use it in the Hades fight lmao
i finally know how that gotdam gauge goes up! thank you! i never would've guessed number of hits dealt. anyway, i totally understand the aphro rating *however* it does interrupt enemy attacks which i quite like
Wow I can’t believe how much I disagree with this one. Artemis and Aphrodite are my #1 and 2, and I find the statements at 12 minutes totally nonsensical. Unless it’s your first time in a fight you know when the phase transitions are, and they turn invulnerable during them anyway. So you wait until the transition is done and invul expires, then use them to totally skip a phase. Being able to totally skip Thesius phase 2, or one of the Hades phases, or instantly finish a miniboss fight is more valuable to me than the detriment of them being garbage without a full gauge. I also prefer Athena over Poseidon for the call for all the same reasons as Ares, and don’t think it’s worth investing in Poseidon secondary boons if all you have is the call. Of course if you have Poseidon already and are going to invest in those boons anyways it changes it, but on balance if I have an otherwise full kit, am looking for a call and choosing between an Athena and a Poseidon door I’m going Athena, in part because I’d prefer access to her secondaries.
Not very different from what I'd arrive at myself. I'd probably have put Dio one lower (because of anti-synergy with other dio boons) and Demeter one higher because 10 chill is amazing defensive utility.
There is a basis for a tier list across all the Mirror talents if you don't have enough Darkness to fill them all. However, most of Haelian's audience has played enough to accumulate all they need.
That's totally fair, I only threw it out there as a potential idea as I thought it could be interesting, though it does seem a little difficult to do. Thanks for replying regardless
I've heard the god gauge fills up a bit quite differently. It does fill up faster with smaller hits, but larger hits do fill more gauge, the return is just diminishing. The exact formula is: Is damage lower than or equal to 60? Then god gauge % = damage / 100% Is damage higher than 60? Then god gauge % = (60 + sqrt(damage-60))/100% Here is how much the god gauge fills based on damage and amount of hits (for example) 6 hits of 50 (300 total) damage: 50/100% = 0.5% each (3% total) 3 hits of 100 (300 total) damage: (60+sqrt(40))/100% = 66.3/100% = 0.66% each (1.98% total) So it isn't just instances of damage - slightly higher damage does fill up the gauge a bit faster. However, this has greatly diminishing returns due to the square rooting, for example: 1660 damage in one hit results in just (60+sqrt(1600))/100 = 100/100 = 1% gauge. Meanwhile 100 damage in 16 hits would fill 0.66% each for a total of 66% gauge. So for incredibly heavy hits of damage (like from keepsakes), the damage doesn't really matter, but for smaller hits - the harder your hit is, the more the gauge fills, but the number of hits is still more important overall.
Honestly, I get why Aphro call is low, but I would take it over Ares any day, it basically lets you skip a phase of either of the first two boss fights if you time the great call well, and in combination with Meg or another ally summon even the final two boss fights you're taking half the HP bar in their final phase making them much safer. And while charm isn't an amazing effect I think people would appreciate it more if they called it "stun", because thats what it functionally is -- timing it well can interrupt things like Asterius's spin attack which is honestly pretty helpful. Wouldn't take it with a better alternative available, but it isn't the worst one IMO. Ares just sucks so bad because it does pitiful damage and takes so long, wheras Aphro's is instant.
I also take Aphrodite over Ares (unless I have full blades already), but her call is so useless unless you get your meter full, which makes it really bad. It’s also really frustrating when you use her full gauge on a boss who is going invulnerable. 😫 When you do land a full gauge cast it’s pretty satisfying though.
Basically agreed on Aphrodite's call. The only reason I usually pick it up is if, for some reason, I haven't picked up a call by the very end and it's like...well. Might as well have a call for the Dad fight.
A real hero. It's 2024 and I took advantage of your spoiler alert as I have not yet beat minatos and Elysius(?) and did not recognize that last boon. Thank you! Still plenty of good information up to the alert to help.
Aphrodite's call is pretty good against rats bc if you charm one, it cant poison you, and honestly, I'd rather deal with Hades than poison Plus it nukes Hades so I don't care
I actually really enjoy playing with Artemis' Call. Playing 42 Heat usually, and I like to move around and not be forced to close quarters like Zeus' Call might force you to be, so that brief i-frame that always deals decent damage (imo) no matter where I am on the map is perfect for my playstyle
So I love the invincible calls. I usually use close range attacks, and when Hades does his spin attack I can use the boon to escape it. Has saved so much health and so many runs
I'm curious why Aphrodite would be lower than Artemis? While it scales less with poms and rarity, the full charge is basically the same thing but with higher base damage, plus it also has some CC. Artemis is better against multiple opponents since there's several, but that's hardly ever relevant for a fully charged boon. And as far as non full charge goes, Artemis' call practically deals zero damage anyway, so i'd still call the charm slightly better.
They're all pretty close at the bottom imo. Aphro Call damage doesn't scale with Poms, Arty's does. Arty has better synergies with things like Hunter's Mark, and like you said can hit more than 1 target. The fact that it has even a minor use with a single charge pushes it for me.
Aphrodite's is basically just a greater call to me, I virtually never use the standard version, but I still like chucking it at a boss to blow a whole chunk off its health sometimes, like using it to pop the final hydra phase in one hit is always a fun example.
Aphrodite + Smoldering Air was one of my first clears and my first truly broken build at 0 heat. Helped me so much against [REDACTED] way back then. I will always love the love call.... But yes I admit that it's more fun than it is useful to me these days. Should have been D tier :P
I guess a lot depends on how you play. For casual not very skilled players, ares and athena are very good. I always fill my gauge full, so artemis is my go to vs bosses, cause i just dont use it in generic rooms.
I'm still gonna though: boss damage bonus for knockback boon, smoldering air, the zues boon with the extra damage after call and Hades just disappears, man, I love Hades
I’m definitely not in the super high heat stuff and so my love for aphro call is probably a symptom of how basic I am. I love it though, I try and charm enemies close to other enemies because they tend to hit each other really hard. Use this a lot in Elysium. Charm is good for stopping bull charge or hades lasers. And for full, I always wait until after a boss has phased and has a fresh set of health before next invuln. Definitely going to try some of the suggested S tiers after watching this though, for instance, I have never intentionally taken Zeus.
Athena call is top tier for me. You get so much time to pummel a boss without having to worry about anything. I guess when you're a degen you can dodge most of everything so Zeus call becomes better, but for normal players I think the safety which Athena's call brings is extremely strong.
Yeah just about what i thought Zeus and Dio is clear cut top 2. Zeus somehow having build around despite already starting the best is kinda dumb and it give access to the damage boost boon somehow. Agree with Demeter being pretty good. In theory its kinda simialr to Zeus and Dio. I kinda prefer it over Poseidon since it didnt lock you from your basic actions I think in general call boon is "pretty good" at worst entirely because of the invul frame you get from activating them
In my experience, charging calls fastest relies on enemies taking the most hits, not the most damage. Razor shoals, Demeter's/Ares' cast, Hangover especially, and i think even Decay. Most fists, rails, and Chiron are specifically good at this.
I love Artemis’s Aid; it’s easily my favourite Call. Mostly because it’s a giant nuke-seriously it does close to a quarter of Redacted’s health bar at full charge (at least without any Pact affecting it, anyways). That and Artemis is best girl and I like hearing her Call lines.
Ares call isn't great for fast runs because the DPS isn't super high, but it is nice because it's essentially "free" damage since you can't be hit. It has decent total damage, and it's an emergency escape button when things go south, and the only cost is that your run will probably be about 3 seconds slower every time you use it, which isn't that much. I don't think you can rate this call in the lower half of the calls because it's at least average or better in almost all of it's characteristics. Higher damage calls don't grant invulnerability, or don't do as much damage. For example, how is Poseidon's call better? The damage is similar, and the escape/"oh shit" factor is the same. The only benefit that Ares can't match is razor shoals, which IMO isn't enough to push a call from the second worst to the second best, especially when Ares has tons of other very strong synergies, even if they're not as strong as razor shoals. Also, I think Dionysus and Zeus are a little overrated. The hit range for Zeus is pretty small, you have almost touching the enemy for it to connect. A lot of bosses have attacks that require you to move away from them, and that's time that your call won't be hitting. Dionysus has a similar problem, but the AOE is larger, so it's not as bad. The damage numbers on these calls are huge, but you have to consider how much damage you're losing when it's not hitting. Ares and Athena are guaranteed damage, whereas you're rarely hitting Zeus or Dionysus for more than 70% of the theoretical max. I still think Zeus and Dionysus are in the running for the best boons, but I think Athena and Ares should be closer in contention, and are at least as good as Poseidon.
Poseidon’s boon is always so damn underrated. I think it’s the best call in the game hands down with one minor asterisk. Getting it at higher rarity is kind of important because it has BIG rarity scaling (250 base, 450 at epic) It also has super good Pom scaling and is amazing against regular rooms and bosses alike. Regular rooms you can oneshot at least a few enemies and if you’re crowded you can get them all off you. Against bosses it’s a huge chunk of damage, the base damage alone is comparable to what Zeus’ call would do but you can easily hit TWICE with Poseidon’s aid so now it’s twice the damage of a Zeus call. And that’s before you even get to the supplementary boons. Specifically the duration-boosting one. Getting this gets you to where you can hit bosses 3 times now, which is just INSANE damage, and makes it even better in regular rooms too. Also funnily enough it makes it so you absolutely don’t want to use full gauge because full gauge is a set duration, not a modifier. Now without the duration boom it can be good to use full gauge against a boss because it’s the duration of 6 bars for the cost of 4 and can basically skip the last phase of a boss while being invincible the whole time. But with Rip Current (I think that’s the name?) you actually get more total time out of 4 single bars than a full gauge while retaining the freedom to use it in small bursts. And then there’s the boon that gives a big % boost to your damage against bosses, making it even more powerful. I just don’t get how this call never seems to be rated top tier, it feels like no one respects the sheer damage and protection alike it provides, even compared to the other calls people pop off about. EDIT: I’ve also never really gotten why Zeus boon is ranked quite so high, it’s been a while since I played but the damage never seemed impressive especially compared to Poseidon’s Aid, and I seem to remember it being not fantastic against groups because the lightning strikes were essentially divided up between the enemies or something?
As far as Zeus Call goes, part of the explanation is that it supplements your existing damage; it doesn't replace it. If you can deal, say, a thousand damage in a 1.5s between all of your sources, and then you use Zeus Call and do 800 more damage, you're at 1800 damage for that 1.5s. When you use a call like Poseidon's for 1.2-2.95 (with rip current) you lose all the regular damage you'd be doing. For speedrunners that tends to be a loss of dps because their builds are that strong. That's why Zeus, Dad, and to a lesser extent Dionysus Calls are the most popular calls in speedrunning, because they either supplement or enhance the damage they're doing instead of switching from build dps to only call dps.
I agree Poseidon is underrated, but I still think Zeus is the best. One of my most memorable runs had me get an epic Poseidon and I was able to pom it a couple times as well. Made the final fight so much easier being able to smack him several times while invulnerable with a big burst.
I know it's bad, but I actually really like Aphro's call. I've had a few runs where I got Smoldering Air and some other god gauge charge boon, and the call had basically no cooldown. It made the Hades fight super easy because he couldn't ever hit me. I just stood there hitting him and if he ever tried to do anything I'd just charm him.
Thank you for mentioning hunter instinct. I can't tell what they were going for with that boon. Almost seems like they put the decimal point in the wrong place. What if it charged your gauge 2.5% per crit (as opposed to 0.25%)?
I'd move ares to B because of the group shred while invuln on high mob density high heat runs. (Pacts and chaos penalties) And Demeter to A, for the same reasons plus chill.
For me who only has about 10 clears i just go to anything that makes me invicible and preferably does lots of damage, my favorite is definitely posidone
I have to disagree a bit on the Aphrodite's Call, while it's possible to waste a lot of damage by entering a new phase, if you wait out the impervious is does allow you to effectively rush down the more dangerous phase of the boss. I do however completely agree it's useless outside of of boss fights
My favorite is dio cuz I don’t usually take hangover anywhere else on the build and it and its damage have saved me many times. Also nice way to get privileged status early if the rest of the gods in your pool are being difficult
Aphrodite's call is useful but only for Hades. I've had runs where i was able to constantly interrupt his actions to the point he wasn't able to do anything. In all other instances the boon is trash but the fact it absolutely dumpsters the final boss when used correctly is a guilty pleasure of mine.
It might be terrible for folks playing fast and speed runners, but if your playing for fun, Aphrodite is so fun just for canceling boss animations. Esp on Hades with EM4, so fun to just cancel him every time he does... practically anything..
tbh I dislike most of the call boons, they're just not active consistently enough for me to naturally weave them into my rotations. All of my other tools work so much better and more consistently, it's not worth looking over to see if I have a call up in the split second it might be useful. I really only use Artemis or Aphrodite to one-shot Thesious in his second phase, Lernie in his third, or when I'm fighting Hades.
I honestly really appreciate the spoiler warning. I was spoiled on the final boss in a random video talking about critical hits. It came out of nowhere and had absolutely no relation to anything they were talking about in the video. The entire thing also was absolutely awful, and sounded more like an angry redditor's comeback on a thread
Zeus call is my favorite. Good in every single type of build and there's amazing follow ups like billowing, jolted, double strike and then the legendary. Zeus in general is crazy because of how much synergy his boons have, unlike Dio, even tho dio call is very good for damage
I totally get why you don't like Aphro's call, it doesn't match your gameplay. But let me tell you why I love it. I wouldn't rank it S-tier, but I think it's my favorite call. I find it very versatile. The huge damage acts as a second Meg' on the bosses, not that difficult to time. In small rooms, when you don't have time to built it full, I use it to crowd-control with the single charge and run away while the mobs fight between them. I'm not nearly as skilled as you with my moves and positioning, the charming helps a lot when used frequently. And - here is the part that I love the most - if you have some other charming sources, particularly on your main damage and the duo Smoldering Air, you're practically invulnerable, the mobs are perma-charmed. I love to pull this off.
Ares' and Aphrodite's calls are my favourites 😭 Getting the boosting boons for Ares makes a huge difference. Its well worth it. Re: Aphrodite: If Theseus is 50 health away from the next phase, give him a smack then shoot him with the call 😂 and the single gauge charm can keep the pressure of in regular rooms.
while i recognise zeus and dio are best, poseidon will always be my favourite. something about it is just more fun than the others, especially if you get the succ boon on top of it

Artemis' call is really good in one build-Hunting Blades. It opens up that duo boon AND the rifts do so many hits that you can charge it to max very quickly
Works with crystals as well
yeah, her call is good for opening up later boons when you want to take someone else's boons in the other slots

Rip current is very fun but Static Discharge is probably the best tier 2 boon lol
This combo is by far my favorite call if not one of the most fun builds in the game to dedicate to. Surfing on everything feels so good.
More than understandable!
This was fun to watch! Always really enjoy your tier list videos!
I love Hades tier lists, please make more 😍
The only thing I'd change is having Poseidon and Demeter swap spots, but I may just be bad at aiming the Poseidon call.
Pairing Hades Call with billowing strength turnst you into a blender its soooo good
I knew it that artemis aid was not that good. my buddy always said it is powerful.
Hades call only gives you invulnerability for a moment, like most of these
@@Marcus-oj9xw I'm going off of 16:55.
I only used it to rank up his keepsake for the steam achievement, but if you manage to make it to Styx without a call, it's worth taking it just for the voice lines when you use it in the Hades fight lmao
i finally know how that gotdam gauge goes up! thank you! i never would've guessed number of hits dealt. anyway, i totally understand the aphro rating *however* it does interrupt enemy attacks which i quite like
I'd say Support Fire would be a good support boon for pretty much any call, since the god gauge builds up based on how many hits you deal
Man, I found this channel through a tierlist. Feels like home
I think a mirror tierlist would be interesting, i.e. ranking all the mirror benefits against one another, including the green variants
Not sure that'd work out really, I do have a mirror guide that suggests what to use at least.
The bit about dionysus's hangover effects getting overridden, i never knew. Thats actually really handy to know
I've heard the god gauge fills up a bit quite differently.
It does fill up faster with smaller hits, but larger hits do fill more gauge, the return is just diminishing.
The exact formula is:
Is damage lower than or equal to 60? Then god gauge % = damage / 100%
Is damage higher than 60? Then god gauge % = (60 + sqrt(damage-60))/100%
Here is how much the god gauge fills based on damage and amount of hits (for example)
6 hits of 50 (300 total) damage:
50/100% = 0.5% each (3% total)
3 hits of 100 (300 total) damage:
(60+sqrt(40))/100% = 66.3/100% = 0.66% each (1.98% total)
So it isn't just instances of damage - slightly higher damage does fill up the gauge a bit faster.
However, this has greatly diminishing returns due to the square rooting, for example:
1660 damage in one hit results in just (60+sqrt(1600))/100 = 100/100 = 1% gauge.
The cat on the subscribe button scared the crap out of me because I thought it was a roach
hot take
but who needs to use aphrodite's call if you have hazard bomb and artemis crit for special boon
I was watching this on my iPhone in the middle of the night and thought the cat layered in the video was a cockroach. 😂😂
Aphrodite's call is pretty good against rats bc if you charm one, it cant poison you, and honestly, I'd rather deal with Hades than poison
Plus it nukes Hades so I don't care
I actually really enjoy playing with Artemis' Call. Playing 42 Heat usually, and I like to move around and not be forced to close quarters like Zeus' Call might force you to be, so that brief i-frame that always deals decent damage (imo) no matter where I am on the map is perfect for my playstyle
Haelian: "It’s probably less useful against the bosses."
Also Haelian: shows footage of using it against a boss
@@Haelian Fair enough.
Ily for putting a spoiler warning even though it’s 2023.
I LOVE Poseidon's call
Riptide gang WYA
The pain of using a full gauge call only to realize the boss is about to go into a phase change is so real tbh
My favourite call boon is the one that makes the cat walk over the screen
I think we agreed across the board, except for Dio but I also didn't know there was a difference in hangover stacks.
More like double D tier... get it? Cuz boobs :3
End me
I guess a lot depends on how you play. For casual not very skilled players, ares and athena are very good. I always fill my gauge full, so artemis is my go to vs bosses, cause i just dont use it in generic rooms.
I think Poseidon call is just fun.
Zeus is so op, it should get its own tier.
Poseidon with rip current is insane. Pom it a little to do 800 damage a hit, 3 hits every time, you're having a fun day
i know, ya dont need to tell me.
I'm still gonna though: boss damage bonus for knockback boon, smoldering air, the zues boon with the extra damage after call and Hades just disappears, man, I love Hades
Status tier list might be kinda quirky. There are some weird statuses i always forget about
I’m definitely not in the super high heat stuff and so my love for aphro call is probably a symptom of how basic I am.
I kinda prefer it over Poseidon since it didnt lock you from your basic actions
I think in general call boon is "pretty good" at worst entirely because of the invul frame you get from activating them
In my experience, charging calls fastest relies on enemies taking the most hits, not the most damage. Razor shoals, Demeter's/Ares' cast, Hangover especially, and i think even Decay. Most fists, rails, and Chiron are specifically good at this.
Thumbnails getting a lil wild there, Dan... me likey
You buggin, Artemis Aid + Aphrodite duo is legit S-class.
every new tier list released reminds me I need to make a tier list tier list
I feel offened about where you ranked aphrodites call
Poseidon’s boon is always so damn underrated. I think it’s the best call in the game hands down with one minor asterisk. Getting it at higher rarity is kind of important because it has BIG rarity scaling (250 base, 450 at epic)
It also has super good Pom scaling and is amazing against regular rooms and bosses alike.
Ares call is probably small for the tier 2 boon "Black Metal"
(Pacts and chaos penalties)
And Demeter to A, for the same reasons plus chill.
What is difference between Sigil/REDACTED?
I agree in Aphrodite. I like Artemis, Poseidon and Zeus.
Love the tier lists! Can you make one about the Hermes boons?
Have you done a tier list for Cast Boons yet? I have a feeling there are lots of strong opinions to be had on those
Some day
I love Artemis Call. I really only use boons to burst down boss encounters,
How is Artemis not good when it delets the bosses? Together with Tanatos summon bosses health just gone
For me who only has about 10 clears i just go to anything that makes me invicible and preferably does lots of damage, my favorite is definitely posidone
I'd love to see tier lists for every core boon slot
This seems unmanageable as they're so weapon/aspect dependent
@@Marcus-oj9xw yeah, I mostly just wanna hear his general opinions. Tier lists are just a fun format for that.
idk if its the best but poseidons is surely the most fun
In my opinion, the only one better than Poseidon's call is Artemis' call
@@leandrosoares25 Artemis call is purely damage yet barely deals damage. It's terrible.
How does dad call work with smoldering air?
tbh I dislike most of the call boons, they're just not active consistently enough for me to naturally weave them into my rotations.
Jokes on you Haelian Zeus is my favorite call boon. And favorite god in the game in general.
You did Ares dirty. Love that boon
Artemis call is my favorite. Full charge killed lernie from like 2/5 health.
God I fucking love tier lists
Dash tier class when?
Ares' and Aphrodite's calls are my favourites 😭 Getting the boosting boons for Ares makes a huge difference. Its well worth it.
Re: Aphrodite: If Theseus is 50 health away from the next phase, give him a smack then shoot him with the call 😂 and the single gauge charm can keep the pressure of in regular rooms.
I know this is a skill issue but I can't use Poseiden's call at all. It's just too hard for me to aim it reliably.
while i recognise zeus and dio are best, poseidon will always be my favourite. something about it is just more fun than the others, especially if you get the succ boon on top of it
I like aphrodities, ares and poseidon ones for boss battles 😅 theyre all good damage to single foes
I feel like Im the only one who likes Aphrodite's call. I use it at full gauge on bosses for huge damage. It one shots the last stage of Lernie.
