Yeah. Even in his earlier DS3 days he wasn't that toxic, but he did point down a bit more often. One invasion in the Ringed City with the gank with the Giant Door hallway blocking comes to mind

Chase doesn’t even get annoyed when a duelist is glitching a frostbite aura, what a champ.

I find it weird that it didn't get patched fully yet. The deathblight exploit was patched, so why not the other status effects?
It isn't glitching the frostbite, it only works with bloodflame now because it still has fire attached, the frostbite in the video was just from phantom hits.

Yo chase the fix for invisible phantoms is to use the festering bloody finger, it retriggers the asset loading and fixes the invisibility issue.

I even have footage of it in one of my videos.
Chase has a habit I always wondered about. He usually starts with a Ritual Shield talisman that he switches off after being hit once, but he never removes the Crimson Amber medallion after taking a hit.
You know that’s a really good point I never thought about lol
He could actually swap up to 3 talismans, the attack version of the ritual shield plus those 2, but i think he doesn't change the Health one because it might affect the hp he gains off of his tear flask.
I think I remember back in DS3 when Chase would remove the Life Ring +3 to get a secondary hit off the Lloyd's Shield Ring or maybe I've finally gone madder than Holy Knight Hodrick.
If it is an extremely sweaty situation i will opt to do this, in most cases though im just too lazy haha
The problem is that Crimson Amber Medallion is one of the lightest talismans. Chase's more finely tuned builds would have him heavy rolling by swapping to most talismans.

Props to the Crucible Knight. Held his own really well, played smart, shut down the strategy for a while, made Chase have to think and adapt
these last couple of videos came out just in time for my faith build. im running 100 poise with 2 knight's greatswords one with flaming strike and another with scared blade and some incantations. im excited to try out these combos myself
If you'd like to try an interesting magic based build, I've been having a lot of fun with the Clayman's Harpoon. It does physical and magic damage but can be buffed with Scholars armament for even more magic damage. I've been using the usual ashes of war relevant to poking weapons like Giant Hunt, Charge Forth, and Impaling Thrust. High damage and lots of roll catch potential.

Chase for when you use impaling thrust, make sure to lock off before you thrust forward. The tracking is infinitely better when you free aim it

You can also do this with a strength build and the Clawmark Seal. Flaming Strike is great with the Pike since it has insane range. Never thought to use catch flame though so thanks :)
The challenge is always landing that first catch flame. If it gets exposed early it changes the whole pace of the fight.

if anyone is interested in more combos like these, you should check out giggasthiccas,he finds the most absurd yet powerful combos(o,flame into roll-catch lightning slash into Placidusax ruin for example)

I don't know if this is the type of suggestion you're looking for but I'd love to see you use the giantsflame pots on a faith build like this. They do tons of damage and are pretty easy to craft. Pretty sure you could one shot some people.

About the invisible stuff, it happened twice now on the haligtree area. In my playthrough, all the enemies in the haligtree were invisible, and I thought it was intended but it's clearly a bug that happens here I guess

You know what can also roll catch very well? Poison zweihander. Incredible weapon.
Poison Zweihander is the most OP underrated weapon for pvp

@@drbjrr Because you must use the poison mist ash of war for optimal performance. Massive poison build up on top of the (at least) 150 regular build up
@@drbjrr there’s an interaction between the poison infusion and specifically the zweihander that leads to a very powerful combination

I wanna see some stuff w the coil shield, it's my favorite shield in the game and the AoW on it feels like it does more poison build up that what it says.
The best part about this is even if your opponent knows about the roll catch and waits to react to the AoW you can just cast catch flame twice. Its not exactly good enough to make it a 5050 but its also not easy to react to

It's nice to see someone play a faith build that doesn't spend half the time on golden vow and flame grant me strength! :)
So im wondering right how important is it to allocate your points into strength if you do a faith/str or int/str i see chase only put the minimum into strength and every other point into faith, but how much damage would you loose if you didnt put points into strength?

I have been using this build with fist weapons, called it (Drunk) Uncle Iroh
Flaming strike and catch Flame are both so strong, together I hardly use anything else on that character,
I think Chase should try out flame fall upon them
The best roll catch comboes are in the caster classes
The thing about flaming strike for me, is it's... too good, I guess. I feel like I'll end up crutching on it way too hard if I use it
I feel that. It's one of those moves that's stylish, but also blatantly super strong -- it's one of very few defensive anti-dodge moves like Storm Stomp, but *also* has high damage, and as Chase has shown, combo potential. I'd probably still use it if it only did 3/4 the damage it does now.
I wish there were more options for flame arts other than strike, and red manes. Especially since you can't even use strike on colossal swords. Red manes feels even cheesier, time for eruption I guess.
I think the invis guy was using assassins gambit AOW and the invisibility sorcery. Forgot what the sorcery is called.
When you see an invisible player just use a phantom red finger to respawn, then the visual glitch will go away
Good Lord that invisible man was not only invisible but dropped over 29k runes, now that is a truly terrifying combination. Though it didn't help very much against a flurry of flames
Not sure if you tested it already or have heard from someone perhaps, but fully charged O Flame > Impaling Thrust/Unsheathe/SS R2 is a TRUE combo. As well as regular O Flame > SS R1.
I have, i just find the oflame fairly difficult to land fully charged haha
This combos are so strong since roll backwards immediately is pretty much the only option you have when hit by ctach flame. If you roll sidewards or towards your opponent, your opponent can often catch you with the following catch flame. And since the catch flame is so quick, one can barely reactively roll against it. Overall this is a very hard
50/50 for the one get hit with catch flame.
How come you didn't double up on the giants seal for the damage boost on pyros? Does the seal you used net you more damage?
The giants seal boosts giants flame incantations, so for giants flame take the it is the most optimal. The erdtree seal has better incantation scaling for catch flame and normal incantations though.

I like how GSP was nerfed into the dirt when all these other combo's still exist. Not only is catch flame far far easier to land, it comes out quicker and has very little tell, but is actually more 1 shotty with flaming strike. Not to mention that Faith has the best buffs in the game, which means it's **even more potent** than what was displayed.
So not only is it faster, easier, more consistent, and multi target... It hits harder and is buffable ontop of that. Thanks Fromsoft u.u;
It’s some sort of invisible summoning bug that happens to NPC sometimes
I am unsure if that frostbite twin peeler guy was intentionally glitching. He was probably trying to just use Fires Deadly Sin to reset the frostbite, but the bug made it cheesy. Ridiculous that that still hasn’t been patched.
Is there such a thing as a bow build? That’s actually worth using? If so, Chase maybe make that a series too?
It involves lots of jump attack followed by the landing shot with the black bow. Combine this with sleep arrows and a strong and fast aow like unsheath and you have a strong one shot set up.

Is there a reason he used that seal opposed to the one that increases fire damage? Does it do more damage through scaling?
Fire giant's seal doesn't increase Catch Flame damage (surprisingly), so Chase chosen a seal that scales better with faith.

Interesting this double fire thing. Very effective. I'm currently annoyed as every time I fix on a new 138 build Chase posts up something I want to try and I have to go and kill Rennala. Poor thing. She seems quite nice really, if a little daffy. Freezing moon spells and book throwing ankle biters aside for a moment, I think you should consider her feelings when posting up interesting builds.
