Putting in its place this poor practitioners of the shield ways is always a spectacle in itself, but the dis of drinking in a duel, that is peak maidenless behavior.
I'm actually in this one. It was the first time I used a Quickstep Claymore and was trying to use the kit more aggressively but didn't really know how to do it properly. Got better in the next duels and it is indeed quite different and fun.
4:30 -- watching this guy go down was so satisfying. I've been trying to make Bloodflame Repeating Thrust work, and this is the exact result I was looking for, except with Blood Tax instead.
Love the buff on this. Blood blade is also massively better - if an enemy tries to roll around you to dodge the projectile, it's likely with the new added weapon hitbox that your weapon animation swing will hit them, in addition to the projectile, which is an instant bleed proc and typically dealt near 1k damage at RL80 with +6 / +16 weapons.
That last invasion is like a perfect example of why I will always prefer to invade and fight ganks rather than duel all the time. Don’t get me wrong, dueling is fine every once in awhile to break things up, but weaving in between a berserk troll’s attacks to kill a team of three is way more fun for me personally.
It's not that hard, guy clearly had no idea what he was doing or even what was going on. Terrible shield and no vigor. I hold much more contempt for the people who go out of their way to min-max a cancerous build than some casul that stumbles into one randomly and it doesn't even work correctly.
@@anitaremenarova6662 I don't even understand how people play without Vigor; I'm reasonably experienced at FS games and I find them totally unplayable without power leveling health at the beginning of each run.
I’ll never understand this community getting mad over peoples builds and play styles you guys make up you’re own rules on how people should play and get upset when people don’t adhere to them
Before I even watch this video, I'm so happy you put out a video on Blood Tax! Idk if you covered this or not (I'll come back and edit after I watch if you did) but fun fact: You can put blood tax on your weapon of choice with either heavy, sharp, reg or quality, slap black flame blade on that bad boy and go to town for extra burst damage
Ahaha thats me at 1:55 I was trying out the sacred blade for the first time so I didn't know how accurate I could be with it. I remembered this duel clearly though, the moment I saw your fashion in the beginning I was like "no way"
I love using this ash of war, I used it to cheese Malenia because of how fast it is and how well it performs especially on an Arcane build, definitely would recommend it if you want to deal a ton of damage while at the same time gain a huge chunk of health back!
No damage crits are probably because of latency - happens with late ripostes only - on his screen he rolled and got invulnerability frames but you already started animation on yours so it play out but with no damage.
I love using this AoW on the Antspur rapier, the bleed doesn’t erase the rot buildup so you get dot damage on top of being able to proc bleed like crazy. Also looks amazing with the cleanrot knight armor so it’s great for my fashion souls game
This is literally my build plus dragon incantations - haven’t seen the video yet but I’m waiting to see chase show me how wrong I’ve been playing all along.
The menus are so damn cumbersome, and organizing your gear is a bothersome and laborious task! What time you must spend organizing your stash! It's always so squeaky clean, and well organized! I wish they would add a better way to customize the loadout in a update.
@@EggplantOven Ah, I met another one like you in a different comment section. As I alluded to, it surprises me that you are looking into PvP, as many people only come for the PvE. (that other one probably included) On the other hand, I got into the series because of some semi-wholesome anectdotes about Dark Souls PvP. Are Elden Ring dueling and/or invasions things that would draw you to buy it? Or were you just trying to get a grasp of all facets of the game and are simply enjoying watching Chases gameplay, without any interest in it yourself?
I would love to see you try the eclipse shotel! It’s very hard but satisfying when you kill somebody with the blight, especially when using the unupgraded version. Not by any means a strong weapon, but a very fun weapon.
Great content as always! You should definitely check out the buffed wind ashes now. Storm stomp can now combo into colossal weapon R1s and specifically Troll's golden sword and Watchdog's greatsword R2s. Storm blade is extremely powerful on things like Beastman's Cleaver or Iron Greatsword and Stormcaller now stuns just like Thunderstorm so it is finally a viable choice.
True Story: Imagine taking your daily shower while watching Chasethebro on and off and you hear this 11:26 with your actual real first name while cleaning the bits. WTF. 😂😂😂😂😂
I'd like to see COSPLAY showcases: * Rogier * Rick, Soldier of God * Patches * Vyke * Malenia (including her "Scarlet Aeonia" incantation) * Melina (with her "Blade of Calling" Dagger and Erdtree Incantations) * Crucible Knight (using the Crucible Armorset, the Ordovis' Greatsword, the Crucible Hornshield as well as the holy Tailswipe Incantations) * BEST GIRL Ranni. * Black Knife Assassin Tiche (using the "Black Knife" or "Malekith's Black Blade" and a fitting Armorset as well as using the Conceiling Veil Talisman for Invasions)
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES! I was just in the progress of making a "Bloody Sakura" Build and was gunna use this AoW and then they buffed it? SHEEEEEEESH
I love using this ash of war on my godskin pealer. It has to be one of my favorite ashes of war. If your getting sick of those godskin dudes, it's really really effective against them, trust me.
My current favourite PvP build is kinda similar. I use dual wield Knight Greatswords, both cold infused. My main one has Repeating Thrusts for roll catching, and if you don't lock in and aim the art a bit off your opponent, you can usually bait them into running into the final thrust as it has pretty good directional aim. On the offhand greatsword I run use Piercing Fang, which I consistently use to catch people off guard with it's long range and unblockable. Also, the Spear Talisman bumps the damage up quite a bit!! Really fun build, I'd love to see your take on it.
Blood tax heal is based off your total health. Hit all 4 thrusts and its 10% +145. I got 60 vigor + erdtree talisman +2 and crimson medallion +2. Other 2 slots are interchangeable for however you'd wanna tweak the build. Straight up though if you have high enough poise you can heal through attacks with this aow and the healing is Roughly the same as the damage you would take in that trade.
I love the different invaders who stream. Jeenine when he defeats the host: "Crappy sh*tter trash". Fighter: "Points down". Chase: "Good fight" every single time.
the other day i was trying trolls roar, and is quite a fun ash of war, the roar will do an small aoe arround you but then the next heavy attack will be a slow vertical strike, i managed to catch a player with it and deleted half his hp
If you haven't done a stormcaller showcase I recommend it. Hyper armor is nuts now, it lasts way longer than it should with repeated inputs. In your hands it would be very powerful
Sadly there's still very little reason to use it considering Thunderstorm does 1,5X the amount of damage you can make it do on even the biggest weapons.
@@anitaremenarova6662 there's still a use for it if you don't want to use the stormhawk axe. Plus I think the range of the aow is affected by your weapon, but not sure about that. Anyway, other weapons are it's use, since thunderstorm only comes on the axe
@@shannonconnor3697 Well in invasions you need to get rid of people quick and if they survive it they'll just heal back to full and won't fall for it next time.
PS poison Antspurs. One with Blood Tax, the other with Poison Moths flight. It's pretty annoying. Sometimes I swap one out with Frozen Needle for the Frost ans R2 projectile..

Yo Chase you should check out my comment/suggestion from your last video the lvl 60 invasions. To make it easier i'll copy and paste it over to this comment below. Hey @ChaseTheBro if you have the dagger "Wakizashi" in your offhand with a katana in your right you'll be able to power stance them with the dual wield katana move set. But not only that you can put parry on the wakizashi. It doesn't power stance with any other dagger unless you have 2 wakizashi. I been having fun using the blood nagakiba with barbaric roar. So i shout with the ash and then my heavy RT hits are a very high hyper armor 4 hit combo that can tank pretty much everything and then after buffing with barbaric roar (or use it 2 handed, buff and back to power stance) u can pull out the mini katana dagger and have parry for LT/L2 and still have the heavy RT 4 hit combo from the barbaric buff AoW. Plus i use LB combo hits for some added bleed build up with the blood wazizashi so when i do go for the trade with the buffed heavy i'll automatically get the bleed proc with the very high bleed build up of the blood naga and blood wazi. Really fun on my arcane dex build (RL 186 . you should try it out, I don't like to tell people about that but u mentioned u wish katanas had parry and i would love to see you use that "setup". Everyone try it out :) also u can go quality or whatever makes the katanas scale off dex and use the drawstring blood grease too for a little higher AR and still high bleed or occult both/ naga occult and bleed waz. I suggest Blood naga w/barbaric roar and blood wazi w/ parry AoW. 100% should use barbaric roar AoW with the blood naga 2h and power stance in one invasion and duel. if you want a forsure 4 hit combo just wait till they swing and go for a trade :).
@@Landjrin For a unique and strong moveset, I would recommend the Banished Knight Greatsword or Knight’s Greatsword. They have the two-handed r1 chain that the Hollowslayer Greatsword had.
