I am a senior who sometimes spends way too much time sitting. I set a timer for an hour. I have to get up to turn it off. My goal is to move for ten minutes. It can be household chores or exercise. It also gives you time to listen to your body, bathroom break, thirst, hunger, whatever. It does give me more energy.
Side note: I saw somewhere, that adding carrot to bean stew reduces gassiness. Coincidentally I made a red lentil stew 2 days ago with carrots in it, and there was Zero gas. I’m going to try it again today using brown lentils.
@ Thank you so much. I just put a pot on the stove, I added cumin, I will add lemon later. 🙏 so far: Onion Garlic Fresh grated ginger Big carrot Soaked brown lentils Cumin, red pepper, black pepper, oregano 🌿 Later: shredded Collard Greens, Tomatoes, Lemon, fresh Cilantro & parsley, mustard seed. 🌿
@@stlounsbury you can add a squeeze of lemon in your plate before starting eating. Add some fresh cumin after it is done cooking . Some Moroccan tricks😊for most of our beans dishes 👍🏼
@ ok, I will. Thank you so much. I also add the mustard seed when I plate the stew, to restore the impact of the sulphoraphanes in the collard greens (discussed in a separate video by Dr. Li).
Dr Li can you please address the issue of heavy metals in dark chocolate. Would love if you could suggest specific brands that are better for us. Thank you!
As far as drinking water from a plastic bottle does that also include buying gallon jugs of water pouring them in a glass and drinking them? I don't mean to sound unintelligent but I think it's a fair question. I mean obviously if you are pouring it from a plastic container it's still includes millions of microplastics? Correct? Thank you sir for all of your help I love your podcast it is a life changer I really appreciate everything you do for us God bless you
I have had the same thought. Maybe it depends upon how long it's already been sitting in the jug before putting it in the glass bottle? Or do the microplastics happen immediately when put in? I'd like to know the answer too.
I wonder about your conclusion about turning on brown fat increases your energy level. Turning on brown fat causes 'uncoupling' of mitochondria electron transport from ATP production and produces heat instead. This will burn fat but will not increase ATP production.
I could only get 50% cacao in my dark chocolate and its got 13g suger per serving which is 25g , So now worried about eating it thinking the sugar will outwiegh the benefit of the cacao and Im trying to lose weight .please help
@4LuvOfGAIA It is very enjoyable, if you combine the ground cacao nibs with dried fruit (such as prunes or dried cacao fruit) and organic black raspberry powder. Better than dark chocolate, because it has a richer, more intense cocoa flavor, and it's better for you. I always get a boost (mentally and physically) from eating fresh-ground cacao nibs, that I've never experienced from eating any dark chocolate; including ones that contain 92% cacao, and are organic.

@@stlounsbury thx for the info. Will use it sure.
I can't Methylate, I have trouble drinking this. I would love to hear you talk about MTHFR.
My doctor told me to only drink water since caffeine was in tea & it is dehydrating. Thanks for explaining this.
Thank you so much for your kindness and concern for people's health. Your tips are so helpful.

There’s a list from consumer reports
Best brunch treat for me is fresh organic berries, sprouted organic walnuts and CACAO NIBS in full fat Greek yogurt or Icelandic skyr

Yes.I'm constantly craving dark chocolate. It's good to have it at home. 😊🍫🍫 ( You are like dark chocolate to me.)🥰
Apparently there can be a lot of lead and cadmium in chocolate. So beware of the amount.
Should we be concerned about fluoride in green tea?

I cannot drink coffee or green tea without getting really jittery. Also chocolate. What to do?
There is green tea with very little caffeine, maybe try that?
Cans are lined with plastic
❤❤
What percent should dark chocolate be? 70%
Yes. That or over
I other videos he says 80% or more.
Ideally, it should be 100$ cacao, with no sugar added; as in unsweetened cacao nibs and unsweetened cacao paste.
@@jamesherried9269 That would not be enjoyable at all.

Another idea might be to read the transcript. Sometimes I don't want to hear anyone yapping or regurgitating repetitive ads so I read it instead.
