Please make fermented cabbage juice. It contains pure l-glutamine. I add a little ginger and Celtic salt to my cabbage juice. Mix with equal parts of water and enjoy. I also take biotin and butyric acid along with l-glutamine after meals.
@@RahulSharma-xn5dh you should make your own. The store bought kills off most of the nutrients during fermentation. Search how to make sauerkraut. It’s not hard…..just cabbage, salt and the fermentation process. When it’s ready, just take a forkful throughout the day before meals.
This is a good starting point but it is one of 3 stages in my opinion. Step 1 Improve mucin production as this is the protective lining of your gut - supplement with NAG (N-Acetyl-D-Glucosamine). I had a Naturopathic Dr who tried to say I'm the problem with regard to stress. I had never done testing with him and only saw his Acupuncturist for series of sessions. This was purely an advertisement for this synthetic supplement. Thomas has a great channel, but this video wasn't appreciative at all considering his normal health advice, was really surprised when he was pushing this product
What I've found has fixed my gut after 20-30 yrs of bloating, stomach aches, ect and believing it was just normal and to live with it. I've almost completely cut gluten from my diet, (lol, ok my wife has cut it from my diet), and I don't remember feeling this good. Such a simple fix. I'll never go back to gluten. It's fixed my guts more than I thought possible.
For me grains/gluten are the biggest trigger too. Not the only one, but gut health got better within a few days after cutting out all grains besides white rice which is technically a grain but has no gluten.
Excellent talk, thank you BUT can I suggest you do the research -on Magnesium - it should be taken in the morning and potassium should be taken at night. I did the opposite for years and since I researched extensively and changed, the difference to my overall health and sleep has been phenomenal!
I see everyone preaching to take magnesium at night for sleep. It has never helped me sleep. What form of magnesium do you take in the am and how many mg potassium?

I vary my magnesium depending on what I feel my body needs - there's plenty of lists explaining the different types. Good luck. 😀
@Jonas81394 i take mag glycinate at night . At least 2 of the double woods before bed. It helps me to sleep! You can also put mag spray on the bottom of your feet.

This explains why I was having insomnia for the past month, I was taking glutamine, but I hadn't taken magnesium and b6. Councidentally, yesterday I took my first b6 and magnesium + glutamine in higher doses and I finally slept like a baby!!! I'm still tired, though, I guess in a week I will be a new person.
And for people that don't want to rely on glutamine supplements, beef meat is high in glutamine and from vegetables cabbage, red the most. I've had gut issues for years and since I implemented lean ground beef to my daily nutrition and cabbage, my gut's issues have almost disappeared.
Will it work with just cabbage juice alone? I have high sensitivity to beef. Also, I can’t take glutamine supplements because I have a liver disease. It has been reported that Liver damage is a possible side effect of glutamine.
@@pandy2022 I have no idea. Frankly speaking, I wasn't used to consuming red meat because of IBS and hemmorhoids both of which I face. Lean ground beef seemed once I swapped to it over white meats not to be a problem from the start. As for cabbage, I could have it 24/7/365.
@@ApostolosKatsioulas I have IBS, hemorrhoids and diverticulitis. It’s all related to gut issues. I saw a functional doctor and a dietitian and still haven’t improved. My stomach has got a lot worse since I admitted to hospital from diverticulitis perforation this year. I was on strong IV antibiotics for six days and 10 more days at home.
@@pandy2022 I am not a doctor. I don't trust doctors entirely, I wish to experiment with my nutrition. I am not going to guide you on what to do. However, my advice is to give it a go, bit by bit. Gut issues are related to anxiety and stress, and I have been dealing with them since a child. To be fair, many supplements can be of assistance to tackle these. Red meat is one of the best sources when it comes to vitamins of the b complex and other minerals and are all highly bioavailable. Perhaps, you could opt for small portions of lean cuts and experiment? Antibiotics will only worsen it.
@ I can’t eat beef as I’m highly sensitive to it according to my blood test for food sensitivity. Also, I have to be careful with what I eat now and avoid foods that are hard to digest due to diverticulitis . Unfortunately, I like lamb, but can’t eat it now. 😫 as it’s hard to digest.
I tried glutamine, I felt better, but I still need probiotics. I produce way too much cortisol, so of course other people might not, but probiotics have been my best friends and help a lot

That is a great question. I like to think it's like a broken foot, you need a more focused treatment unlike a broken nail. Do supplementation may work best initially.
Dr. Sherr’s skin always looks so amazing, with good color. Especially for someone with red “ish” hair. I have strawberry blonde hair and i feel like im so, so pale from hiding from the sun, the sun which makes me burn so easily. But i crave that color for myself.
Just to clarify for people not understanding: Is L-glutamine related to MSG? And while their names sound similar, and they both come from the same family of amino acids known as the glutamates, they are different. Glutamic acid is best known as a component of monosodium glutamate, while L-glutamine may be known as a supplement used by athletes to help improve immune health and recovery.
Also, MSG isn’t the big bad boogey man everyone thinks. Any adverse reactions are only present in a small percentage and it’s similar to a lactate reaction.

Just wanted to warn you that the Low FODMAP Diet has been scientifically proven to worsen gut symptoms/dysbiosis/SIBO if followed strictly for a long period of time. It can be effective for eliminating symptoms short term, but just proceed with caution
Whoah! Dr Sherr is from Leadville, Colorado? That is so cool! I went there in February of 1999 and stayed in a hotel just outside of Leadville. I think it was called the Moose Lodge. I met the Hollingsworth family in Leadville when I was there. Such a small but awesome little town! It's located at just over 10,000' elevation, which is why I went there, because I love cold weather and mountains and extreme stuff like that! Man that is so crazy that he's from there, lol.

Awesome share! everyone is different here and that's the issue but I've found testing the gut and then optimizing diet/behavior can be really helpful, especially if initial dietary/behavior interventions aren't as helpful as you'd like. Thanks for sharing that. I have been dealing with mild gut issues for years from a medication I was on. I still have some lingering stuff and just had my first couple of doses of aloe to see if it will help. Never tried it before as a health aid. You just gave me a little hope.

My GABA receptors are damaged from Benzodiazepines. I was put on them when I had my first panic attack at age 16. I wanted off them even before I knew how damaging they were but I had a psychiatrist that said I’d always have to stay on them. A nurse at that clinic who picked up on them being the actual problem switched me to another psychiatrist there at he wanted me off them right away. Went to detox and almost died. Then my husband did a lot of research and I’ve been trying to get off them ever since. When he discovered the Dr. Heather Ashton Method online in her free manual. That’s helped a lot but there’s still been interruptions in the healing process. GABA receptors can heal but it’s hard because these drugs are so physically hard to come off of. The addiction for me is merely physical.
May I ask how long have you been on them ? i can totally relate to you as I a have been taking them for about 22 years now. I have been to a detox clinic and they tried to wean me of them in 3 weeks. I too almost died and this clinic did not even think this happened because of the withdrawl. The second I left the clinic I went right back on taking them. I am taking the absolut personal minimum at this point, but I cant get any lower. In the morning, by 9 a clock I start looosing feeling in my right hand and tingling fingers. it is an unbearable feeling. So I take a half and it ges away after about 30 minutes. I have become really healthy with my diet and everything but the benzos I jzst cant get under control.
@ I’ve been on since I was 16 and I’m 44. The Dr. Heather Ashton Method helped me. It’s cross tapering from a short acting Benzo to a longer acting Benzo. Then slowly tapering off. Which one are you on? I’ve had two times since getting from Clonazapam to Valium that I almost got off Valium but my antidepressants interfered. First by giving me Serotonin Syndrome in which case the only treatment was Benzos 🙄 and then this summer mania and insomnia so I had to updose. So I decided this time to get off the antidepressant first. It didn’t need to be as long of a taper but about 7-8 weeks. I started sleeping better. If you can look up the Dr. Heather Ashton manual online and get onto the longest acting Benzo like Valium and then do a slow taper like 6-8 months. It might be your best chance. Disclaimer: I’m not a doctor so talk to your health care provider before starting your plan. I’ll pray for you 🙏 💜
Thank you for sharing that. I just posted above about fluoroquinolones - which the benzo recovery community says to totally avoid. I have to say, getting off only one year of use of 1mg klon for sleep while taking care of my 96-year-old father was the most absolute horrific experience of my life. There is nothing else that even comes close. Lots of suffering. The suffering is beyond description. Anyone here thinking of using them, I beg you to reconsider. I am glad you found Ashton's manual. I hope you are successful. I am in year 6 of healing and I am happy to say that I have come very very far. Those pills are no joke. I still have a few odd symptoms that are fairly mild. My gut still isn't 100%. The horrible anxiety was pretty much gone for me by month 14-16 and after that it was mostly killer exhaustion, beyond words. Like....too much effort to blink and breathe. Take good care of yourself as you recover. I'm so glad you are making the attempt to get off. I went too fast - 9 weeks - because I didn't understand they need to be tapered for sometimes years. Go slow.
my dog started having seizures after an antibiotic and then became sensitive to high glutamate foods like beef and chicken. I didn't quite understand what was happening at the time but she started having seizures after feeding sometimes right after sometimes next day. She was ok with salmon and fruit and certain vegetables like carrots. Sharing because if there is miitochondrial damage there could be sensitivity to certain foods. Glutamate can cause too much excitability in the brain. anti biotic was fluorquinone.
Thank you for this warning. I keep my dog and cats healthy, with shining fur. I never feed them out of a can. I give them the same meat and fish that I buy for myself, only i give it half-cooked. They don't touch fruits and veggies and I don't feed them milk, either, except for when they were in the pup and kitten stage. I try and stick to what's natural for them. My oldest cat is over twenty and she looks as beautiful as her kittens. I often mistake one for the other because their colour patterns are only slightly different.
@@MJ-hl1kk I made my dogs food too her whole life. It was the beef that wore on her kidneys. It was local and grass fed too. I did give her raw meaty bones every months or so. She started having hip issues around the age of 7

@@nickibanks5185 did you have some sort of damage from an antibiotic? i put my dog on mostly fruit and salmon she diid well until i made the mistake of giving her beef again which led to Uti then a seizure that wouldn't stop so I had to end her life. It was very sad and trumatizing and wish I had never given her beef. Like I said salmon was okay for her cause it's lower in glutamate.

This is very interesting because glutamate along with glucose is what feeds cancer cells. People who have recovered understand that they needed to starve those cells so I think that the idea that we "need" isn't true if our cells can run on ketones while healing

I have the opposite experience. I am kind of low carb, felt very well and strong for the last few months. Ate too much rice for two days and now I can't get up from bed. I don't have a problem with a bit more fruit, but grains are a no no

gaba and glutamine are different things. Whether gaba crosses the healthy BBB or not is yet clear. The effect could also be transported via activation of the parasymapthetic nerves, taht is gaba receptors in the Enteric Nerve system
Gentleman, we have to be careful when promoting the benefits of glutamine. Glutamine is one of the fuels that cancer cells needs to survive. Ingesting high levels of glutamine could scientifically increase your cancer proliferation. If you don't believe my words, please look at the many scientific studies that confirm this.
So is glutamine in the natural form of food protein like chicken turkey and fish and pork and for someone who might have cancer should they go on a no animal fat diet?
@@rolandarolle4682 It’s a protein not a fat so you’d have to avoid eating animal products altogether. I believe some specialists do recommend a low protein, keto type diet for fighting cancer but do your own research obviously.

As a menopausal woman and especially being on the hormone blockers, it’s crucial to lift weights to counteract the bad side effects of the medication. And, I also have to increase protein intake for the same reason. Meat is a huge provider of glutamine

I saw videos that said the lack of acidity (lower), causes the top stomach flap to not shut, leading to acid reflux and high bacteria (H-Pylori). The suggestion was to drink an 8 oz glass of water with 1 tablespoon of vinegar mixed in, to add acidity, shut the open top stomach valve, and kill H-1pylori. Doing this helped my stomach a great deal, from acid reflux and indigestion.

You must be feeding the H-Pylori sugar. Though it is normal to have some H-Pylori. Excessive amount of sugar or foods that are turned into sugar can contribute an overgrowth of H-Pylori. Google search "What foods feed H-Pylori". You will be surprised to see that even carrots feed H-Pylori. AND google search what foods kill H-Pylori.

I really needed this video.. I went through a terrible benzodiazepine withdrawal that I sware I am still suffering from til this day.. 7 years ago!! I heard that the small intestine need glutamine/glutamate - not from MSG (monosodium glutamate), but neither did I hear where it should come from. I did not hear any recommended source for glutamine but I know that glutamine is in all animal proteins. Current recommendations are to consume 1 gram of animal protein for every pound of ideal body weight. ...Again, I heard no recommendations here... But maybe I missed it.
There are a number of glutamine supps (each containing several supps) which are designed to support gut lining. Protein I’m not sure has same effect and the glutamine supps say to take on empty stomach.
glutamine is from bone broth, glutamate is from uncle roger available as MSG. Yet, cooking bone broth from bones also creates gutamate frm glutamine.... ys the kitchen is a lot like a chemical lab. glutamine and glutamate are chemically similar, but not identical, particularly glutamate is NOT the salt of glutamine.
Glutamine is only 1 amino acid. Animal protein contains many different amino acids, only 4-5% of which is glutamine. In order to get 4-5 grams of glutamine you need to consume 100 grams of protein. Let's say you weigh 80 kilos and follow 2gr/kg: you'll have consumed 6.5-8gr of glutamine. To get to 10gr you would need up to 250gr of protein. Between 5-15 grams is considered moderate and safe (20+ for prolonged periods may affect the body's natural ammonia breakdown mechanisms). So 5gr on top of your protein intake will get you to about 12-13gr, assuming 80kg of body weight (assuming not overweight). Without excessive general protein intake which often causes gastrointestinal issues without additional hypertrophic benefits (unless you're juiced). L-Glutamine specifically has been shown to improve gut health in studies by improving the intestine lining, and anecdotally for me personally it makes my weak stomach quite a bit stronger. Long story short: it's safe and probably beneficial to supplement 5gr on top of your "2gr/kg bodyweight" protein intake. Just shut up with that parrot'ed garbage. I sleep 8 hours a night and lift 3-5x per week. Been living like that for the last 18 years. I'm 34, 6'1" 185 lbs, less than 10 percent body fat. I deadlifted 505lbs at only 195 lbs a few years ago. My gut has been FUCKED for 30 years. Sleep and exercise do NOTHING for the gut.
People not understanding, the guy said glutamine supplementation is advisable for people that are exercising frequently and not for normal joe that just go from work to home . If you are an athlete then glutamine might be a good idea but certainly not need it for sedentary individuals.😮
The gut microbiome is like a fingerprint. There is no one size fits all. There are thousands of factors. You definitely can't get it in 20 minutes, but it's a start. Keep learning, keep an open mind and keep connecting the dots.
I've had gut problems since I started eating healthy and exercising. Too much salad gives me major gas. My sleep is not great, not enough deep sleep continuity. 🤔 I'm going to try glutamine.
Look at Chinese medicine/diet - TCM. The Chinese don't eat a lot of salads. Stir frying your veggies/meat for a couple of minutes will not lose vitamins. I am the same as you and need to eat food that is warming. It is very hard on my stomach eating raw/cold foods especially for people with weak digestions. It takes a great deal of energy to digest. The other thing is don't drink cold drinks while eating as this will wreak havoc on your gut further causing gas and bloating putting your digestive fire out.
@@Drscottsherr I read that it's good to take glutamine on an empty stomach. I usually ate my first meal at around 11/12 am. Since I started taking glutamine I take it at that time alone. It fills my stomach a bit and I have no problems to eat my first meal 30-60min after that. Technically glutamine breaks the fast but I read that taking it on an empty stomach is good for glutamine absorption and it also allows me to push my first meal later in the day which makes it easier to have 2 good meals a day. Besides cutting cutting ou grains/gluten and taking glutamine, fasting and just have 2 good meals a day had the biggest impact on my gut healing so far!

@@Niala827 LongJuvity. 600 mg twice/day during flares. 300 mg/day maintenance. Avoid dairy (they hide it in certain bread fyi) always. When in flare, remove all fiber from diet, except organic sauerkraut. Avoid peppers, seeds, brewers yeast, and anything that you notice may trigger your biologic response.
My issue with supplements is that they almost always are high in heavy metals. Maybe they are levels approved by FDA but unfortunately the FDA levels deemed safe need to be refined.

Reflux and constipation indicate motility issues. Research those. B1 deficiency can be linked to motility issues along with many other things including not enough fiber.

What I've found has fixed my gut after 20-30 yrs of bloating, stomach aches, ect and believing it was just normal and to live with it. I've almost completely cut gluten from my diet, (lol, ok my wife has cut it from my diet), and I don't remember feeling this good. Such a simple fix. I'll never go back to gluten. It's fixed my guts more than I thought possible.
that suggests you are gluten intolerant/have celiac disease. there's a simple blood test to confirm celiac.
For me grains/gluten are the biggest trigger too. Not the only one, but gut health got better within a few days after cutting out all grains besides white rice which is technically a grain but has no gluten.
I would say not just gluten, but wheat (gluten grains, but mainly wheat) as a whole (lectins, gliadin, etc) is a huge problem
If you eat non-nybridized wheat like Einkorn, you likely will be fine. Modern wheat strains have 30 times the amount of gluten of traditional strains.

he has another video on Potassium, although I don't necessarily agree with him on all his videos, but since I changed what I take at night and what I take in the morning my sleep has improved out of sight, I get a very good product called Potassi by Eagle, it contains 3 different forms of potassium - orotate, aspartate and citrate - total 307 mg - but I'm in Australia so you may not be able to get that one. I vary my magnesium depending on what I feel my body needs - there's plenty of lists explaining the different types. Good luck. 😀

And for people that don't want to rely on glutamine supplements, beef meat is high in glutamine and from vegetables cabbage, red the most. I've had gut issues for years and since I implemented lean ground beef to my daily nutrition and cabbage, my gut's issues have almost disappeared.
Will it work with just cabbage juice alone? I have high sensitivity to beef. Also, I can’t take glutamine supplements because I have a liver disease. It has been reported that Liver damage is a possible side effect of glutamine.

@@pandy2022 I am not a doctor. I don't trust doctors entirely, I wish to experiment with my nutrition. I am not going to guide you on what to do. However, my advice is to give it a go, bit by bit. Gut issues are related to anxiety and stress, and I have been dealing with them since a child. To be fair, many supplements can be of assistance to tackle these. Red meat is one of the best sources when it comes to vitamins of the b complex and other minerals and are all highly bioavailable. Perhaps, you could opt for small portions of lean cuts and experiment? Antibiotics will only worsen it.

For me something that really help my gut was consuming dates, salted almonds, turmeric capsules and the best probiotic I ever consumed (saccharomyces boulardii).

My GABA receptors are damaged from Benzodiazepines. I was put on them when I had my first panic attack at age 16. Then my husband did a lot of research and I’ve been trying to get off them ever since. When he discovered the Dr. Heather Ashton Method online in her free manual. That’s helped a lot but there’s still been interruptions in the healing process. GABA receptors can heal but it’s hard because these drugs are so physically hard to come off of. The addiction for me is merely physical.

@ I’ve been on since I was 16 and I’m 44. The Dr. Heather Ashton Method helped me. It’s cross tapering from a short acting Benzo to a longer acting Benzo. Then slowly tapering off. Which one are you on? I’ve had two times since getting from Clonazapam to Valium that I almost got off Valium but my antidepressants interfered. First by giving me Serotonin Syndrome in which case the only treatment was Benzos 🙄 and then this summer mania and insomnia so I had to updose. So I decided this time to get off the antidepressant first. It didn’t need to be as long of a taper but about 7-8 weeks. I started sleeping better. If you can look up the Dr. Heather Ashton manual online and get onto the longest acting Benzo like Valium and then do a slow taper like 6-8 months. It might be your best chance. There is nothing else that even comes close. Lots of suffering. The suffering is beyond description. Anyone here thinking of using them, I beg you to reconsider.
I am glad you found Ashton's manual. I hope you are successful. I am in year 6 of healing and I am happy to say that I have come very very far. Those pills are no joke. I still have a few odd symptoms that are fairly mild. My gut still isn't 100%. The horrible anxiety was pretty much gone for me by month 14-16 and after that it was mostly killer exhaustion, beyond words. Like....too much effort to blink and breathe.
Take good care of yourself as you recover. I'm so glad you are making the attempt to get off. I went too fast - 9 weeks - because I didn't understand they need to be tapered for sometimes years. Go slow.
my dog started having seizures after an antibiotic and then became sensitive to high glutamate foods like beef and chicken. I didn't quite understand what was happening at the time but she started having seizures after feeding sometimes right after sometimes next day. She was ok with salmon and fruit and certain vegetables like carrots. Sharing because if there is miitochondrial damage there could be sensitivity to certain foods. Glutamate can cause too much excitability in the brain. anti biotic was fluorquinone.
Thank you for this warning. I keep my dog and cats healthy, with shining fur. I never feed them out of a can. I give them the same meat and fish that I buy for myself, only i give it half-cooked. They don't touch fruits and veggies and I don't feed them milk, either, except for when they were in the pup and kitten stage. I try and stick to what's natural for them. My oldest cat is over twenty and she looks as beautiful as her kittens. I often mistake one for the other because their colour patterns are only slightly different.

@@nickibanks5185 did you have some sort of damage from an antibiotic? i put my dog on mostly fruit and salmon she diid well until i made the mistake of giving her beef again which led to Uti then a seizure that wouldn't stop so I had to end her life. It was very sad and trumatizing and wish I had never given her beef. Like I said salmon was okay for her cause it's lower in glutamate.

I have the opposite experience. I am kind of low carb, felt very well and strong for the last few months. Ate too much rice for two days and now I can't get up from bed. I don't have a problem with a bit more fruit, but grains are a no no

Gentleman, we have to be careful when promoting the benefits of glutamine. Glutamine is one of the fuels that cancer cells needs to survive. Ingesting high levels of glutamine could scientifically increase your cancer proliferation. If you don't believe my words, please look at the many scientific studies that confirm this.

As a menopausal woman and especially being on the hormone blockers, it’s crucial to lift weights to counteract the bad side effects of the medication. And, I also have to increase protein intake for the same reason. Meat is a huge provider of glutamine

I saw videos that said the lack of acidity (lower), causes the top stomach flap to not shut, leading to acid reflux and high bacteria (H-Pylori). The suggestion was to drink an 8 oz glass of water with 1 tablespoon of vinegar mixed in, to add acidity, shut the open top stomach valve, and kill H-1pylori. Doing this helped my stomach a great deal, from acid reflux and indigestion.

You must be feeding the H-Pylori sugar. Though it is normal to have some H-Pylori. Excessive amount of sugar or foods that are turned into sugar can contribute an overgrowth of H-Pylori. Google search "What foods feed H-Pylori". You will be surprised to see that even carrots feed H-Pylori. AND google search what foods kill H-Pylori.
I note that Dr Sherr is quite tense and speaks fast in the nervous way that is commonly observed in health food industry.

Don't mean to sound like a wet blanket, but B6 is the one B vitamin that can accumulate in tissues. You may not want to stay too high for too long.

I really needed this video.. I went through a terrible benzodiazepine withdrawal that I sware I am still suffering from til this day.. 7 years ago!! I heard that the small intestine need glutamine/glutamate - not from MSG (monosodium glutamate), but neither did I hear where it should come from. I did not hear any recommended source for glutamine but I know that glutamine is in all animal proteins. Current recommendations are to consume 1 gram of animal protein for every pound of ideal body weight. ...Again, I heard no recommendations here... But maybe I missed it.
There are a number of glutamine supps (each containing several supps) which are designed to support gut lining. Protein I’m not sure has same effect and the glutamine supps say to take on empty stomach.
glutamine is from bone broth, glutamate is from uncle roger available as MSG. Yet, cooking bone broth from bones also creates gutamate frm glutamine.... ys the kitchen is a lot like a chemical lab.
glutamine and glutamate are chemically similar, but not identical, particularly glutamate is NOT the salt of glutamine.

Glutamine is only 1 amino acid. Animal protein contains many different amino acids, only 4-5% of which is glutamine. In order to get 4-5 grams of glutamine you need to consume 100 grams of protein. Let's say you weigh 80 kilos and follow 2gr/kg: you'll have consumed 6.5-8gr of glutamine. To get to 10gr you would need up to 250gr of protein. Between 5-15 grams is considered moderate and safe (20+ for prolonged periods may affect the body's natural ammonia breakdown mechanisms). So 5gr on top of your protein intake will get you to about 12-13gr, assuming 80kg of body weight (assuming not overweight). Without excessive general protein intake which often causes gastrointestinal issues without additional hypertrophic benefits (unless you're juiced). L-Glutamine specifically has been shown to improve gut health in studies by improving the intestine lining, and anecdotally for me personally it makes my weak stomach quite a bit stronger.
Long story short: it's safe and probably beneficial to supplement 5gr on top of your "2gr/kg bodyweight" protein intake. On days where you're consuming a lot more protein than usual you may want to skip although occasionally exceeding 20gr/d is unlikely to cause any issues.
glutamine is in all kind of protein sources, including, of course, from plants, the best and the only which correlates with longevity in humans.
Its not just runners guys, there are dancers that work for hours doing intensive routines, as well as people who do long Jym sessions!

Just shut up with that parrot'ed garbage. I sleep 8 hours a night and lift 3-5x per week. Been living like that for the last 18 years. I'm 34, 6'1" 185 lbs, less than 10 percent body fat. I deadlifted 505lbs at only 195 lbs a few years ago.
My gut has been FUCKED for 30 years. Sleep and exercise do NOTHING for the gut.

Raw veggies is the hardest to digest… that’s why.
Look at Chinese medicine/diet - TCM. The Chinese don't eat a lot of salads. Stir frying your veggies/meat for a couple of minutes will not lose vitamins. I am the same as you and need to eat food that is warming. It is very hard on my stomach eating raw/cold foods especially for people with weak digestions. It takes a great deal of energy to digest. The other thing is don't drink cold drinks while eating as this will wreak havoc on your gut further causing gas and bloating putting your digestive fire out.

@@Drscottsherr I read that it's good to take glutamine on an empty stomach. I usually ate my first meal at around 11/12 am. Since I started taking glutamine I take it at that time alone. It fills my stomach a bit and I have no problems to eat my first meal 30-60min after that. Technically glutamine breaks the fast but I read that taking it on an empty stomach is good for glutamine absorption and it also allows me to push my first meal later in the day which makes it easier to have 2 good meals a day. Besides cutting cutting ou grains/gluten and taking glutamine, fasting and just have 2 good meals a day had the biggest impact on my gut healing so far!

Loo up the relationship between oxalates and calcium.

Avoid dairy (they hide it in certain bread fyi) always.
When in flare, remove all fiber from diet, except organic sauerkraut. Avoid peppers, seeds, brewers yeast, and anything that you notice may trigger your biologic response.

My issue with supplements is that they almost always are high in heavy metals. Maybe they are levels approved by FDA but unfortunately the FDA levels deemed safe need to be refined.

Reflux and constipation indicate motility issues. Research those. B1 deficiency can be linked to motility issues along with many other things including not enough fiber.
Just go carnivore, beef and eggs with the occasional lamb, goat, fish. Take a few supplements along with DMSO, Iodine and Meth blue and you will feel amazing.
