I’m dealing with a wound now (that won’t heal) because of lack of circulation. I ate a bad American diet growing up (lived on carbs!) and now paying for it. I’ve changed my diet too this past year. I’m supposedly not pre diabetic (I was close to it) but still have venous disease. I’m eating lots of veggies and fruits, don’t smoke, don’t drink, don’t eat carbs, try to eat low fat but still have issues. When you get over 65 it’s hard to avoid disease. It comes on quick so take care of your health NOW before it’s too late.

P.S. no sugar either, in my diet.

If I were you, I would fast for a few days, under medical supervision, in order to put your body into full regeneration mode and make sure no bad food gets in, for a while. Before you do this, you would want to go on the keto diet in order to fat-prime your body. Obviously, not medical advice, but look into it yourself. Also, did you do a biopsy?

    • @TheGryphonSun
      @TheGryphonSun 2 місяці тому +31

@@SebastianTheHappyCrab no biopsy but going to drs and they recommended wound care at a hospital nearby. My dr just made a referral and they will call me for an appointment very soon.
It’s feeling a little more hopeful.
I think your idea of a fast is a good idea. I may try it. Perhaps drink juices only. Perhaps even raw veggies. At least no meat as just today Apple News said 2 slices of ham a day can increase your diabetes, even eating chicken can. Fish is best.
Accordingly, I’ve been eating terribly till about last February when I got test results back and started to change.
      Well thanks for your advice.

He's seems very good for an allopathic MD.
I hope he learns more about healthy salt intake and BP.
He also needs to study the relative vs objective risk reductions in Statin "studies".
As chocolate evangelist I will look into his chocolate = stem cells claims, even though I'm concerned with oxalate risks associated with chocolate. My investigations into chocolate continues. 😎
They should not have used Whipped Cream in the black tea test IMHO. They should have tested Raw cow and goat's milk, especially if the whipped cream was sweetened. I need to check this out because I make my own cappuccino with cacao and cinnamon every morning. (No sugar.) 😎
Peace, Love, Health, and Freedom, to all who are fortunate enough to strive for these goals. 🙏

Fantastic video by Dr. Li, I was diagnosed as a type 2 diabetic when I was around 60 years old.. My daughter was 11 years old so I wanted to stay healthy and fit.. the 3rd of March 2018 I joined the gym next to my workplace.. I do yoga to keep myself fit and flexible and improve my balance.. I do pumps, circuits, and Zumba... so that gives me strength and a lot of energy. I always cook my healthy food (avoid processed food.) stopped smoking and drinking ( even though I never smoked and drank too much). Now I am 68 years old and I become a super fit person... the yoga poses I do now I wouldn't have dreamt 4/5 years ago... I also agree with Dr. Li that avoid FRIED FOOD.. I always say that Indian foods are very healthy food so why do Indian people have the highest number of heart attacks and strokes because they use too much oil and FRY THEM TOO MUCH.. I have lost 10.5 kilos since ( H-5'10'' Weight 69.5 Kilos) also BP & PULSE RATES ARE PERFECT..

Add can of black beans (the only bean i Don't drain or wash), can green beans, chik peas, kidney beans, i rinse them 3 or 4 tmes in can. I get light red kidney beans and wash until no more red liquid. Small can chopped mild green chilies, 1/2 bar cream cheese (i tear it in pieces), parmesan cheese, mexican cheese from Albertsons. I also get non-gmo frozen corn by flavRpak. Then optional: 2 tbs. Hemp hearts, 3 pinches tumeric, 2 or 3 pinches cayenne pepper, dried ground leeks, fresh ground black pepper, celery seeds about 2 pinches, light sprinkle cumin, black sesame and white sesame light sprinkle, dried parsley, basil, light sprinkle poppy seeds, paprika. La Victoria red taco sauce mild. You can add or subtract from this list based on your tastes and health needs. I always have at least the tumeric and cayenne and black pepper and paprika. I usually add the hemp seeds. The rest i was trying to get as many healthy plant foods in this dish. The spices count as plants. I'm a great lover of corn even though it is not good for you. I also add a can of drained, chopped asparagus when i have it. I love it. I first made it when i was out of something to cook and just started adding things i like; beans and cheese and chilies. It kind of just grew from there to include many healthy ingredients. If you use hard cheeses like Gouda, parmesan, and cheddar even healthier. I'm not a perfectionist or anal about strictly only whole foods. I just aim for trying to add healthy items to my diet. You could add shredded carrot and chopped celery. The possibilities are endless. I counted 21 plant foods. And that makes it super easy to get the suggested 30 plants a week. The more plants, the better. It makes a big skillet that lasts me for 3 or 4 days. Maybe I'm weird, but it works for me. For stir fry, i use EVO, chopped zuchinni, chopped yellow squash, chopped garlic and onion, shredded carrot, 2 pinches tumeric, black pepper, and dried parsley and basil. Yummy! You can add guacomole and or sour cream to top if desired. Or throw it in a taco.

Are you sure this much food eating from a can is healthy? So many chemicals come with your food and some may cause Parkinson's disease or shakey hands😢
Also, pesticides are another trouble from beans to veggies but lately, if I haven't got frozen chickpeas then bought in a can very rare. Thanks for the recipe🙏⭐️💯

Could you do a video on Venous Insufficiency and the foods or supplements that can help it?
It would really help out to hear your point of view on this subject, surprisingly there aren't many videos or knowledge available online on how to treat it with food and diet. I usually find some "easy fix" videos that suggest Gotu Kola or Diosmin but i feel like something is missing, and that i can't find anyone who describes the whole picture and how to organize a diet to fully heal this illness (if it's possible), or at least stop it from getting worse.
I would really really appreciate if you'd consider doing a video on this topic! (i really appreciate your videos on books so far, they have been very helpful in helping my parents get in better shape and health. Thank you!)

I discovered by accident that smoking pot makes heart rate go up but blood pressure plummet in just a few minutes. How can that be? I think it must be vasodilation (blood vessels opening up). That is, if a pump (the heart) speed goes up but the downstream pressure drops, the pump must be relatively unloaded.
I'd invite others to test this finding. I think it would make a good PhD thesis.

Start taking cayenne pepper (to increase metabolic rate) and some supplements that cause circulation. A good one (for the periphery areas like your toe) is bilberry and grape seed extract. There’s a host of leg circulation formula, supplements out there and one is iherb you can order from quickly/fast delivery. Massage your foot, and wake it up by walking as well to pump your blood. Point your toes over and over. That brings blood circulation to your foot. Fight it with all you got! Try different methods like sonic vibration red light devices (Iherb has a cosmetic one), hot and cold water fomotations are also helpful if there’s swelling. You want to try to get circulation and sensation. At the very least for pain and regaining circulation-a tub of rice and beans-stick your foot in it and move around to gain sensation. It sounds like you need a disability clinic which your dr could prescribe. A tens unit which would give your toes a small shock or acupuncture are possible treatments to bring back circulation. But first access the situation by making a drs. appointment.

I wonder if semi-skimmed dairy milk might be acceptable with my black tea? Being English I wouldn't ever put cream in tea (bleurrgh) 😆 but I don't like it without a splash of milk. I'm ok with a slice of lemon in it, but then I would have to put in half a teaspoon of sugar to take away the bitter taste. Don't need the sugar when I use milk! This is why it's never simple to have a healthy diet🤨 I can go with most of the other things, especially the dark hot choc. Thank you for this.😊
