I am 83 and have NO health issues. I stay away from processed food, fast 2 seperate days a week (t & th), eat 4x a day (9am, 12noon, 3pm, & 6pm). I eat only 1 thing per meal (it makes it easier for my system to digest), stay away from processed food and sweets), and I never get hungry. I stay away from anger, hate, and anything or anyone that is negative. My weight stays at 123-125. If I encounter a difficult situation- I step back look at the WHOLE picture and step in with a positive attitude get it done, SMILE and and go on with the day. My daughter asks how come I never yell, scream, or get mad - she says I am too happy! You can never be too happy. I plan to live to be a healthy 113yrs. My doctor says more like 125! Fine with me! It is YOUR life, time to take control and PLAN the rest of your journey!
My crazy story. 64 years old, don’t drink, don’t smoke, no recreational drugs. Last year got diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. Ductal Adenocarcinoma which ranks as one of the top two deadliest cancers a human can get. So a 9 1/2 hour surgery, 9 day hospital stay, followed up with 6 months of chemotherapy and I’m now after my first post chemotherapy treatments cancer free. Keep fighting for the cure.
Keep positive Robert. I’m 29 years cancer free after stage 4 breast cancer. Studied Jane Plants research and followed her recommendations for a year. Let food be thy medicine…..

Thanks for sharing. I. Knew someone who died 6 months after de tection who didn't operate but a healthy 77 year old who exercised regularly. Pancreatic cancer is hard to detect so you are blessed to have found out n able to operate on it. Fully recovered now....would be good to hear of your previous diet n habits (to avoid) and your 😊 recovery process included -intermitten fasting? 😮
Congrats for your achievement. Long, healthy life to you. You say you don' t drink, smoke, do drugs. But have you ever? Now, sure, you don't. But what about before, during youth? If not its just another example of genes that can be activated for some reason or, - lets not forget this - one is over exposed to products that can cause cancer. Many just get out of the market, banned - YEARS after their use. (coincidence?). We also smoke second hand (a lot of packages per day) and we inhale car fumes.
I quit sodas more than 20 years ago, and my blood pressure was back to normal within 2 weeks. Gave up anything that has an ingredients list I can't pronounce. Dropped salt about the same time. Quit sugar 10 years ago - honey is my only sweetener. I'm now 75, haven't needed to see a doctor in years, and am disgustingly healthy with low blood pressure, good circulation and no worries. Only shop the outer edge of a supermarket, read every lable, and focus on non-GMO, organic, and home-grown food for a better life.
@@gingermonroe4153 Ma'am, if you will also do what Floating Lotus does on this comment section, very soon you will be reporting the same thing as she is. What we eat and drink is more important than anything else we do or experience with our bodies. Have a good one.
Floating Lotus - Respect!! You took the way to good health seriously and are reaping the benefits. I hope everyone reads your statement and follows it as well. Have a good one, ma'am. Also, as a side note, have been doing that type of feeding for my dogs and cats as well and have turned some of their developing health issues around. I buy their dry food at a feed store where they sell healthier food for animals. Feed them as much natural meat as possible, filtered water...... stopped skin issues, one of my pups was having trouble walking and I had to help her with a belly strap..... now walking fine and she's 3 years older than she was then. I rarely have vet bills with my pups. Blessings to all.
I grew up dirt poor living off pinto beans and collard greens! It was seven kids! We got eggs from the henhouse! No sodas, ice cream or Diary Queen for us. I've carried that life style over into old age. At 75 my pipes are clean.

I appreciate how Lewis doesn’t act like he knows everything his guest is saying. Shows the utmost respect and interest in the content and therefore asks all the pertinent questions. Great host.
Yeah, a lot of interviewers on other channels tend to pretend they have knowledge on the subject matters they’re discussing whenever they’re interviewing some expert. It’s very annoying.
This was a great show packed with so much valuable information from Dr. William Li. I must say you are a wonderful interviewer and you asked some amazing questions. My husband and I enjoyed your interview with Dr. William Li and look forward to seeing more video.
I am 83 years old! I have discovered that the mind is the most valuable organ in your body. I fell down a flight of stairs and the Dr's. Wrote me off. With help from family medical people I am in good shape one year later and am not on medication and walk 2 to 4 miles a day! I eat healthy, don't smoke, don't drink alcohol, drink plenty of water and take vitamins for seniors! When I go for my annual physical, and I'm asked what medication I'm on, and I answer NONE, they look at me like I'm from Mars. I follow Dr.Li's advice and information from Clevend Clinc, Mayo Clinic, Havard medical, and other studies by medical professionals! Use wisdom to provide your medical care! 😊

I drink water mostly and eat as healthy as possible. I am pushing 70 and have no health problems. I make sure to help people, sing (to myself), and laugh all the time. It seems to work. My doctor told me she wished she could be as healthy as me. Loving your life is important for your health.
When I was young and soooo soooo many were doing drugs... My response was NO not interested... I want to be the ONLY ONE in Control of MY Mind and Body!!!
I'm glad he talked about the fact that health care does not start in the Doctors office. I'm from Jamaica 🇯🇲, my granuncles one of them just died a few months ago....age 104........the second one still living. Walking to church by himself at 103......we don't eat your balonies, we eat lots and lots of earth grown foods. My dad died recently at 98......My friends Aunt still living at 102......Thats why I'm heading back home to retire. I will live longer.....its just a given....
I agree with you, I am from Jamaica and I started to move back some of my things. I am 60 years old and I am not staying until retire . My grandmother lives over 100 years old and she never took medication. She would go to the sea side and buy her fish or from a truck that coming from the sea. She would cook fresh food every day and she was healthy.
Like seriously I lived in the States im back home, and loving it, food is so fresh and taste so different, fresh fish ,fresh veggies. Real fruits eaten straight from the tree. Wouldn't trade this for nothing. Great decision . Dont listen to the negative comments.
Finally ! Someone who actually knows human metabolism! I am a RN & I know this guy knows what he is talking about! He is rewriting the medical & nursing books! Especially the info about angiogenesis! I never knew that was a thing!
Yeah but you guys supported the lie that paper masks designed for surgeries stop viruses. I'm not trusting the scientific knowledge of RNs anytime soon.
Dr. Li is so good. He explains the WHY which help so much!! Also "Eat, move, sleep, smile": eat healthy food, exercise, get enough rest, strive to do what makes you happy!! Also I think valuing yourself more will make you want to take better care of yourself. Thank you Dr. Li and Louis for this video!!
You left out helping others.. it's an 8mportant part of community and a sense of security. This is the big problem with the bigger picture of our human race and how we eat what we an when we an why we
Fasting at least 9-10 days in every month works wonders... In fact most people eat when they aren't even hungry and just eat because it's a programed reaction... one meal a day is all you need to be healthy and its beneficial to eat good healthy foods and not be a Junkie consumer who eats like a trash can ...
FINALLY!! somebody saying that not ALL food is bad. There are reasons to enjoy food. Understand what the body does with it, and how the body is supposed to work.
I particularly loved Dr Li's discussion on fruit! Other UA-cam doctors go on and on about fruit in a negative way, almost demonising fruit ("character assassination") and of course pushing the keto diet. This is a breath of much-needed fresh air - thank you.
Exactly! I’m pretty sick of all the “UA-cam doctors” pushing the keto diet relentlessly and “demonizing” fruits, when there isn’t any scientific evidence supporting that keto is the best diet for health and longevity. Just look at all the centenarians and supercentenarians in the Blue Zones. They don’t practice any keto and each Blue Zone has different diets of their own. So it’s pretty ridiculous and unscientific to push keto like it’s some silver bullet for the best health and longevity. I take everything with a grain of salt, unless there is irrefutable scientific evidence that supports any kind of health claims on keto p, vegan, or carnivore.
Hi Jean ikr...... also I check with my glucose meter to see which fruit raises my insulin pineapple raises it to high for me going to try raspberries today...
Love Dr. Li’s educational approach as opposed to ‘ follow this diet or that diet religiously’ He lays out the nutrient positives to hundreds of plant foods, includes acceptance of quality grass fed pastured animal products and wild caught Pacific salmon and encourages choices among the plant based and acceptable animal/ fish options. I am addicted to following his Master Class videos to find out ‘ what walnuts do, what beet juice does, what pastured eggs do’ etc etc. I love knowing beyond what is “ bad” and what plant based actually looks like. He simply advocates WFPB ( not vegan, paleo, keto etc) and shows how stunning plants are for our bodies. I eat 90% plants, 10% animal products ( very few and very narrow choices, grass pastured eggs, a llttle milk in my coffee my mornings would be sad w/o whole milk froth, no sugar plain organic greek yogurt, a few servings of wild caught Pacific salmon)….absolutely No added sugar, but a little 80% dark dark chocolate Loving the foods I am eating and also shook off benign heart arrhythmia and am maintaining 115 weight without even thinking about it Thank You Dr. Li for the fascinating education on nutrition without pushing a specific diet that cuts out entire groups of food groups……you give us the best paints and leave the easel and imagination to the student ❤
My grandparents are over 100yrs old. They eat tomatoes daily. Go figure. They also eat ice cream before bed and drink Pepsi like water. But they move around everyday and get a workout still running their cattle ranch.
@@minitea4315 I'll never retire. I'll reduce my hours. I am a valued member of society and my over 30 years of life experience counts. I see no reason to retire and keep all that experience to myself when I could be contributing it to my profession.
My grand parents both made it into their 90s. My Grandma just missed her 100th birthday by 5 months. Same thing! They were farmers.ate their own beef, ate what they planted. A very basic lifestyle but they knew everything they were eating. They canned tomatoes and ate apples from their trees. Too many people just expect everything now. Very feel people peel their own potatoes, cook their own food. The junk that is in processed foods are banned in certain countries.
I am in total agreement with Doctor Li suggestion to skip breakfast. Breakfast is simple you breaking your night of fasting. The longer you fast, the more the benefits. If you fast for 18 hours are more, your body goes in a state called autophagy. Autophagy is cellular repair/regeneration.
Its a rarity I have breakfast because after doing INTERMITTENT FASTING or OMAD over time, I just dont feel hungry! It was hard at first but relatively easy these days. Yes Im Diabetic but still cant get my level down to 5 (I sit at about 7 to 7.5) because Ive got so much stress going on that I just cant get rid off for many reasons. Everyone keeps on and keeps on telling me to go on to meds! NO I WILL NOT - I FLATLY REFUSE. Once Im on meds, Ill lose my ability to get off them again. As I am, Im HAVING TO watch what I eat myself instead of using synthetic 'killers' and then stray away from what I am able to manage myself (bar the stress). Something may be going to change soon (something that may be ' NEW BEGINNINGS' in my life 🤞🤞🙏🙏. If so, that will take a vast strain off my life + then it will then be more trials to get to the next stage. Ill know before Xmas and NO IM NOT GETTING REMARRIED or anything similar to that. Ill then have to have maybe TWO more ops after an accident I had back in August 2017 (which after I became T2D!) Ive had 2 ops - one a revision and in Sep it will be another op - all from my falling and passing out because of the fault of where I was. I was told I wasnt looking where I was walking - BUT OMG I REALLY WAS. It was the company itselfs fault. Ive needed a rest since then but will start a re attack on them to try to seek the compensation I am due. I was always out most days - now its a rarity Im out at all. *MY SOCIAL LIFE now, consists of medical appointments. I rarely go out otherwise because I am not well 'NEARLY ALL' of the time nowdays!
I follow a 'DO NOT EAT ANYTHING THAT GROWS UNDERGROUND', no tomatoes, fruit juice, flour, pastas etc. Cant remember all of them offhand but know when I see or hear it. I generally eat chicken, fish & pork and simple veggies but love a green salad during summer especially and always use my 'home made' organic ACV w 'Mother' & a good quality Olive Oil. I don't stray from this. I love Green Tea , Matcha etc but never if possible eat luncheon meats. I now only use a good quality Grass Fed Ghee! I like it, in that it lasts so long and it doesnt have to go into a fridge! I go to a grandchild's party & do have a piece of cake BUT its such a small piece. I have always liked drinking water and still do so even now. I buy water in a cardboard container and keep it in the outdoor fridge and keep decanting it into bottles to put into the inside fridge. I need to desperately go to the 'bottlo' to get a refund of all the small bottles Ive accumulated over such a long time. At 10c/bottle, I should get a fair bit of money (considering), to put away! Wish me luck please!

I just want to start off by saying I was so sick with diabetes high blood pressure and thyroid cancer was on insulin for my diabetes I was taking 6 pills a day I started looking up what I can do to fix my health so I started Intermittent Fasting I tried 12 hours at first it was very hard I also was 300 pounds so I was used to eating breakfast lunch and dinner plus I was snacking all day long after 6 months of fasting 12 hours a day I was eating in a 12 hour window then I started to see I wasn’t hungry for breakfast so I skipped breakfast then was not eating lunch and after a while I felt so good so I went to a 20 fast with eating food in a 4 hour window and that would be just dinner and a couple of snacks after that I lost 100 pounds only take medicine for my thyroid it’s the best thing I ever did for my life I’m also not diabetic no more life is good 😁
Eating within a 4-hour window is too difficult for me to eat everything I need to eat to maintain the healthy levels of nutrients I need. I tried again and again and it’s not too difficult and stressful. I don’t have any weight to lose or any health conditions, just doing intermittent fasting because it’s touted as healthy. 8 hours is easier for me. Congrats on losing all that weight and improving your health.
Wish our Dr's were as informed he is and willing to converse about health instead of 15 min rushed. You might get a question, but Dr's can not take time to hear you, let alone know the answers, learning more from home in all the realities of trying to find out what my issues are. Thank you. Deep respect for him.

Thank you both so much for all the information. I am 70 and have been eating & living a healthy lifestyle since 1975. I am always harrassed by people & body shamed as they don't get why I eat OR don't eat certain foods. I never drink soda, I'm lucky I don't like it. I don't eat any fish. I was brought up in a house that ate it 3 times a week and I have never liked it, even though I was forced to eat it. (Needless to say) I brought it up EVERY TIME! I do follow the signs of my body & it reacts in a bad way from chemicals in food and junk food etc. You have made me feel so much better about myself. I have been on a path for the last yr to know myself better than I ever did before. What I learned from a doctor is to be strict with your diet when you are trying to address a health issue or to get rid of an addiction. Then when your health normalizes, you can "cheat" occasionally, but being mindful of what you do and it's effects on your health.
We’re talking about coffee as a good drink, if sweeteners and or creamer is added, it’s no longer good. I know you mean “coffee” drink alone, black coffee it is.
I was in the tea mountains in China and got into Puer tea from trees 8 and 9 hundred years old. They don’t put anything on the trees. You can find it at any Chinatown in the states.
Thank you Lewis. your interviews are always fantastic, you are an excellent host, never rushing your guests and asking exactly the questions that are going through my mind at that moment. This interview with Dr Li is life-changing.
I worked as an RN on a chemical dependency unit. After seeing the effects of alcohol on patients and their families, I quit drinking myself. I don’t believe there is a reason to drink that isn’t self medicating. I am a huge fan of fermented foods. Vinegar is my friend. I love just about anything pickled (especially dilled) and sauerkraut is heavenly.
My parents were both adamantly against intake of any alcohol. My mom even got our local church to put some plain grape juice in the communion trays, so "recovering alcoholics can have communion without being triggered to drink again." Just separate from the wine traditionally used. Even though that was only a Tbs or so. Make clear which is which so folks can quietly choose for themselves what to have.
Thank you so much Dr William Li! I have never heard so much about food that is truly based on solid science! Thank you from the Philippines! 🙏🙏♥️♥️👍👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Thank you very much, I greatly enjoyed this enlarged enlightening talk! I am a chef and more, educated in social sciences. I always belived in fastening, not over eating. Intermittent fastening, diciplined meals...I eat what I feel for, I never took any weight and have same body measures as when I was 17 years old. I almost never climbed a scale, dont measure my size. I do smoke, I drink alcohol but i never did any drugs. I cook all my food myself, never drink milk and avoid sugar. I am almost 60 yrs old, people believe I am in my late thirties or early forties. I eat everything I wish, sleep 8 hrs at least and I am considered to have a good energy and just a good go. I am not fanatic but: I refuse over- processed oils, soda's, light products. I am a Mediterranian diet supporter. And fasten two times ten days a year, mainly to cleanse my body and especially lungs, also in order to give my body a chance. I am born with cholesterol factor, and my cholesterol rockets without medication. We have it in my family. Yet, my doctor says my liver is soft as a babies, and my physical condition is that of 25- year old sportsmans. I bicyckle, not able to run any longer. I am happy and contented foodie. I think this is so very genetic and in a way predestined to be the one I am and do. My goal is not to be youngish or not even young looking, I am more into being able to do things I like. Traveling, hiking, fishing, climbing, photography, painting. Especial thanks for one specific sentence: do what you enjoy ! Relax, enjoy life, think sometimes of your earthfile and consuption. And I always keep my grandfathers teaching in mind: one day a week, just do nothing, relax, enjoy life, take a cigarette, drink, have sex, take a nap. Look around and see all the good!
Please tell me in your 10 days fasting, what you drink evey day? Explain it to me, I would like to do properly with your guidance. Thank for your answer.
3:04 I think the reason people don’t change a bad diet is because once you have been following that diet for a long period of time, your body is very smart, and you try to switch directions and your body pull you back to a state of confortable way the body was before! That we all should put a fight to change, absolutely!!!
Beans are rich in phosphorus, especially Great Northern, chickpeas, navy and pinto beans, which all contain at least 250 mg per cup (164 to 182 grams) If you have chronic kidney disease Stage 3 - 5 you can easily go over your daily limit for phosphorus. Soaking the beans with multiple water changes will help reduce the phosphorus content.
Thanks for this info regarding things we eat and how and why we should or should not put in our wonderful bodies! I'm now 87 and DO NOT GO TO DRS FOR LAST FEW YEARS! Out lived both parents and guess I'm very lucky! Loved your take on healthy living!
I really enjoyed this interview. Dr. Li's answers to your questions are very helpful and reassuring. Happy that he exposed the myth of tomatoes, beans, etc and lectins/inflammation!! Very down to earth and trust worthy. Thank you!
I love coffee …. If they would say it’s bad I don’t think I would give it up. Since early childhood to 76 years - I feel great and giving up coffee - never happens ….. I love great tasting coffee it smells and tastes so very good. However, I will buy some organic coffee.
Hi, You say that there is no "clicker" to tell us when to stop eating....but in Ayur Veda there is! When you eat and burb the first time, that is the time to stop eating. At that time the stomach is 2/3 full and that is the best volume for good digestion.
My understanding is that insulin resistance develops whether or not a person reaches diabetic levels. At fat-adapted, intermittent fasting on OMAD level, cravings disappear. There is no true deprivation because you no longer crave unnecessary, unhealthy foods.

Interesting to me is that nations that eat these things like tomatoes and drink lots of coffee are among those that live the longest (Spain..)...? How that adds up to this story?
This is a good interview… the interviewer asks his question and then allows the guest to respond fully. He’s doing a good job of keeping it about his guest rather than the focus always on the interviewer like so many other UA-camrs.

Good information. I have lost a lot of weight, but I did not go on a "diet", I changed my diet. The trigger was a divorce. Through a long marriage, I am in my late 60s, my wife sort of led the way on food. Now, I cook regularly as well. What I did was to cut out sugar (no sweeteners), gluten (she liked wheat pasta), all processed foods and all sodas, etc. At home I am basically pescatarian, but I don't always eat fish. For a while I would have an orange or apple each day, but currently do not eat fruit regularly. I start the day with rolled oats (I hear lots of bad things about these, but I have seen none of the effects) with butter and a little salt and cinnamon. I have a "snack" after that, usually nuts. Then for supper I have veggies and either fish, lentils (whole or in a pasta made just with lentil flour) or nothing else. I will also put on some cheese sometimes. For drinks I have water usually with lemon juice, no sweetener, brewed tea or coffee. I lost almost 50 pounds. I had gotten close to 200. This happened fairly quickly after the change in diet. Then, about a year ago, I stopped drinking. I immediately lost another inch on the waist. I am down to where I was in weight and shape in my 20s. No joint pain (I had started to have a little) and the high blood pressure went away. There are a few interesting things that Dr. Li mentioned that I do and that some other physicians who have health channels on UA-cam caution against. One prominent one, just call him Dr. G, seems to contradict what I have experienced. One of the interesting foods is the chili peppers. I sometimes grow them, but I always have crushed red chilis on my vegetables. I love it. Now I know why. Another is lentils, usually red or golden. I don't soak them. The way I cook them is to put the lentils in water with a little salt and then boil them as opposed to putting them into boiling water. I don't get gas from them this way. As for seafood, I love basically all of it. I do eat salmon, but I also love cod. I actually find cooking them in the microwave on an automatic setting cooks them perfectly.
Wonderful interview ..Thank you ...really enjoyed this as your voices were clear and not talking too fast which is overwhelming with some video's people post ..how can people take in new information when people talk fast and unclear ..thanks for being Clear .
Eat red veg like beetroot, peppers, keep away from sugar drinks even diet drink or orange juice from the bottle. Cancer loves sugar and helps it grow and spread, but dies if you stop all sugary products.😢
Love the reminders. I'm not a drinker either, kudos to my parents who had to stay focused on keeping up with mortgage & paying bills and stuck to basics which meant real foods no soft drinks & cheap meats ... Asian influence I'm diet has helps too.
Thank you for your reasonableness comment. Better to have 12 hour fast which you could do consistently and have a more balanced life including having meals with others

Thanks so much for sharing what you do.

Also, as a side note, have been doing that type of feeding for my dogs and cats as well and have turned some of their developing health issues around.
Amen!!! Putting fruit in the same vein as white bread is ignorant!! Dr. Li is a breath of fresh air. Thank you⚓️
💯💯💯💯💯
Yeah for fruits...esp the mango. But not too many.
Found Dr.Li on youtube having a Ted Talk years ago, did some Zoom classes, got his book, and never looked back! Great information from Dr. Li😊
Love Dr. Li’s educational approach as opposed to ‘ follow this diet or that diet religiously’
He lays out the nutrient positives to hundreds of plant foods, includes acceptance of quality grass fed pastured animal products and wild caught Pacific salmon and encourages choices among the plant based and acceptable animal/ fish options.
I eat 90% plants, 10% animal products ( very few and very narrow choices, grass pastured eggs, a llttle milk in my coffee my mornings would be sad w/o whole milk froth, no sugar plain organic greek yogurt, a few servings of wild caught Pacific salmon)….absolutely No added sugar, but a little 80% dark dark chocolate
Loving the foods I am eating and also shook off benign heart arrhythmia and am maintaining 115 weight without even thinking about it
Thank You Dr. Li for the fascinating education on nutrition without pushing a specific diet that cuts out entire groups of food groups……you give us the best paints and leave the easel and imagination to the student

I'll never retire.
Omg! Amazing!

Ill then have to have maybe TWO more ops after an accident I had back in August 2017 (which after I became T2D!)
Ive had 2 ops - one a revision and in Sep it will be another op - all from my falling and passing out because of the fault of where I was.

I am a huge fan of fermented foods. Vinegar is my friend. I love just about anything pickled (especially dilled) and sauerkraut is heavenly.
Yet alcohol is fermented!

The biggest concern I have about fish is the contaminants; the farm-raised fish with bad feed, and the inaccurate information about wild vs farm fish are all reasons for me to be more cautious abut eating fish.
What to eat : 12 to 16 hrs fasting. Eat most things moderately-coffee, alcohol OK ‐ Top foods- tomatoes, pears, chillies, dried beans/legumes(soaked)

Tomatoes are bad for

@@jjperry3995 Thank you,
I heard on one of these
doctors' videos that the seeds
and skins are the problem :
if they are skinned and
de-seeded, that's better.
It's sad really, because
they are so tasty and colourful....
Nothing like a home grown
tomato, fresh from the garden...

Another big factor is what you believe or think about food and about your food choices... (i.e. judgment, worry, fear, blame, etc).
Agree.
Absolutely sold on Dr Li and his research. Read his first book twice. Ordering the new one today

Dr Li you are

This guy is amazing. I felt his passion and sincerity throughout the entire video, and I also appreciated his lack of ego. I am going to try to integrate all of this information. Thank you!

Big big big THANK YOU to Dr William Li !
I enjoyed listening to this conversation. Dr Li's explanations are particularly easy to follow and understand. Thank you Lewis for inviting Dr Li. Much appreciated!
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
You can buy a pressure cooker which it’s called instant pot here in US and cook your beans safely, quick and delicious. Can beans loose the flavor and might be contaminated from packaging.
Thank you Dr. Li! You’re the best! 🫡💟💟💟
You need to do that with your doctor. Not a random guy from the internet

Q
Yes! So many things I love, that are healthy for other people can be too high in phosphorus and oxalates for people with low kidney function 😥
Yes wash them yes, also measure the amount add low phosphorus vegg to it,like cauliflower, jasmine rice..yummy
My brother drank coke zero heavily for years. He's dead now. His doctor squarely placed his liver disease/ failure on coke zero.

Thanks for this info regarding things we eat and how and why we should or should not put in our wonderful bodies! I'm now 87 and DO NOT GO TO DRS FOR LAST FEW YEARS! Out lived both parents and guess I'm very lucky! Loved your take on healthy living!
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
I've studied nutrition and healing for many years but I actually learned something new today. Thankyou
I really enjoyed this interview. Dr. Li's answers to your questions are very helpful and reassuring. Happy that he exposed the myth of tomatoes, beans, etc and lectins/inflammation!! Very down to earth and trust worthy. Thank you!
That lectin stuff is a joke, made up by people that spread misinformation that aren’t even science based.
The best is on the metabolic rate. His last words are pure wisdom. Thank you Dr.
Thanks for being here!
I love coffee …. If they would say it’s bad I don’t think I would give it up. Since early childhood to 76 years - I feel great and giving up coffee - never happens ….. I love great tasting coffee it smells and tastes so very good. However, I will buy some organic coffee.
Thank you for always having life changing people on your UA-cam. It is helping me find my way toward health.❤
Lewis is such a Great Host with Awesome guests!!!!!
Thank you
That’s my saying too. Life is hard enough without drinking or doing drugs. I want to have my wits about me in this nutty world.
This guy is brilliant and honest. Both are

Hi, You say that there is no "clicker" to tell us when to stop eating....but in Ayur Veda there is! When you eat and burb the first time, that is the time to stop eating. At that time the stomach is 2/3 full and that is the best volume for good digestion.
Seriously, MIND BLOWN 🤯
I've been carnivore, with no sugar, dairy, processed food. I got sick when I did a Spam food challenge.
Probably one of the best episodes. I can only say I have been a living example of this through experimentation :) Need to read two new books now....
My understanding is that insulin resistance develops whether or not a person reaches diabetic levels. At fat-adapted, intermittent fasting on OMAD level, cravings disappear. There is no true deprivation because you no longer crave unnecessary, unhealthy foods.
Thank you, this was perfect timing!! Same philosophy with Novak and Greatness ... you are both on the same purpose♡ Playing tennis with my brother for hours at a time, saved us ... my love of tennis started in my early teens!!! Congratulations 🎊 👏 to Novak for getting the Gold!!! Lucky you, Lewis, for having the opportunity to meet with so many public figures, and doctors, that share information and philosophies that can guide humanity to greatness 👏
Crazy comment was after I saw your interview with Novak maybe I had this interview with Dr. Li up next... hmmm
About the legumes? Just pressure cook them, instant pots are perfect for that!
There is just something so likable about Dr. Li
and the other dude.... I wish I had friends like that😢
Thank you so much for the knowledge. I have been so mindful of what I’ve been eating and drinking of late, especially sugar
This man is fantastic. I will get this book tonight. The Grocery store shopping section is what I need. I absolutely love Chile and Apples Golden Delicious and Granny…. I’m thrilled you don’t scare us with lectins as well. I haven’t eaten a tomato in years…. Ugh. I’m loving coffee and… Dr Li is so clear and concise with his explanation of food, fasting. 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Thank you so much! Your comment made my day 😊
Thanks Mr Howes for having Dr Lee in your show. I appreciate all your time by answering all the questions with calm and patience. I am very interested about your book, i will order it. Thank you for the show, i learned a lot🙏
Thank you so much for all this information! Dr. Li’s message really hit home for me and I starting today I will be eliminating Diet Coke from my diet. Can’t wait to get the book!
Thank you Lewis and Dr. Li❤
You're welcome, thank you for watching🧡
i love this one thank you for both!❤ But i never buy canned food. I believe all food i get should come as it is not canned, so do beans. Beans taste so much more real and alive when I cook them versus eating a canned version. Same goes for food powders such as onion, tomato or garlic powder. It is better to get the real vegetable and process it at home.
I am filipina /American it been 42 year in America only l bought in the Can is Tuna and frozen peas and corn. I always buy fresh veges and meat. Never buy the frozen process food. I eat pizza thats the only food have lot of process meat. I eat sandwiches. Tuna and chicken salad
Thank you Lewis for this insightful interview with Dr Li who shared so much of his valuable research & knowledge to his listeners & a bigger thank you to you Lewis for getting all this information out from Dr Li with your apt & to the point questions which truly help clear all my doubts & fears!🙏👍💯

His definition of greatness is JOY
Amen
1) Sugar and all sugar containing foods (includes all Carbohydrates)
2) Vegetable oils
3) Highly processed foods
Eat red veg like beetroot, peppers, keep away from sugar drinks even diet drink or orange juice from the bottle. Cancer loves sugar and helps it grow and spread, but dies if you stop all sugary products.😢
Wow, this was a big lesson about metabolism and health. Thanks for sharing this Maestro with us.
"Knowledge shall" (& has) increase"d.
