Appreciate you Brother. You look amazing, and I want to emulate you as I flow into this aging thing at age 58. I literally lost track of time because I live in the moment, for sanity’s sake. I’m finally on board with recomposting my body. Thank goodness my muscle memory still exists, and that genetics aged me slowly. 😌

I am 64 and think like I'm 17. It is very hard to admit we are "old" now. Just want to sleep, sleep, sleep. I hate being old. So, now I really care about all of this stuff.

Another amazing, easy to understand video! It's such a great feeling to be able to eat something extremely healthy and not worry about counting calories or points! I am FINALLY understanding that I can actually eat healthy fats as you explain in your videos and both books, eat healthy foods and not have to worry about calories or points each day!
Walking between 120 to 150 minutes per week and my joints feel so much better. Last time I checked (I am no longer obsessed with the scales!), I am down 84 lbs and feeling so healthy - I am 67 years old and feeling so much younger and , thanks to you Dr. Li 🌟🌟.

Hey Dr Li, I have been watching a ton of your videos. Consider making a short video of ultra processed fat foods. Show processed food next to acceptable food. In five minutes everyone will understand the difference between potato chips, potato salad, and a baked potato. Plus of course, 50 other food to include or avaid.

My concern now is to gain back my usual weight which is 110 lb I drastically lose weight in a month time, maybe because I sleep at 2:am wake up after six hrs sleep automatically. Then back to sleep and wake up after 6 hrs again. Sometime I eat my breakfast by 11:00 am and eat again at 7:00 or 20:24 8:00 pm. I have 20:39 no idea that this is intermitent fasting. My weight is 39 kg from 55 kg. After my Lab test, the doc said I am anemic, have UTI and Pneumonitis

I actually like to chop up a ripe avocado and dice it to throw in salad. Messy but good. I found putting avocados in fridge keeps them hard & good longer than on the counter, once I remove one from fridge it only takes a day or 2 to ripen!

Regarding meal size, it’s tough because I’m dieting right now 6 months and in order to get in the right amount of protein, potassium, magnesium, (the 3 big tough ones to meet every day) I have to eat a large volume, AND keep it under (for me) 1,200 calories. It’s a mathematical challenge every day. But yes. Your advice is helping a lot and I am extremely grateful for your talks.
Potassium: I’ve become aware that many of us do not get enough potassium (RDA around 3,500 mg). I realized that the heart fluttering I was getting was due to not getting enough potassium. Easy fix is 3 baked potatoes every day but there we go with volume and calorie load again. But I did it yesterday with a fish & multi vegetable medley. I don’t do dairy or meat from mammals. Supplements only give 99 mg potassium each by law, so you can’t rely on those for that. I’ve got potatoes on my shopping list. My heart fluttering stopped like magic even though I only got in 2,200 mg.

Pardon my jumping into your comment here, but are you working with a nutritionist or registered dietician? I thought I was doing things "right" by keeping my calories under 1500/day and after working w/ an RD I learned my actual needs are way closer to 3000/day. Totally blew my mind. Upped my calories and my weight steadily declined and I'm now the fittest I've EVER been. I follow the "Nutritarian" way, and recommend checking out Dr. Joel Fuhrman for more info on that (G-BOMBS!).
And since everyone's unique, I'll share my experience with electrolytes too; I've had hyperhidrosis my whole life so I'm constantly sweating buckets. Two things changed that, decreasing my sweating significantly: drinking more water daily and I have 1 electrolyte pack from LMNT every day. Both have been total game-changers for my nervous system. I'm calmer in general, my sweating isn't as easily triggered or nearly as pervasive once it starts, I sleep better, and my ADHD symptoms have dramatically reduced... You mentioned supplements only giving 99mg of potassium by law, so you might want to check out LMNT as an option, though getting your micronutrients from food is the superior choice always! Hang in there!!

Low potassium and high potassium can kill you. I had such low potassium. I was getting weaker and weaker. I went to see my doctor, but I had to see not my main doctor but someone else and they wanted to give me an EKG and did all that though I suggested all my symptoms added up to low potassium they said oh no, I don’t think that’s it! I insisted on a blood test and guess what…. I was so low. I was dangerously low. I had to take prescription potassium to get it up to a decent level. Also, if you don’t get a lot of sun vitamin D, I found our pain in my shoulders. Immediately went down when I found out, my vitamin D was super low , I almost had none. Because of my low tolerance to humidity, making me overheat. Cutting caffeine helped immensely. But I started after I got better with prescription taking a vitamin D3 supplement. It must be vitamin D3, I lived and moved and still live in a very humid climate and heat kills me and I don’t get a lot of sun. Someday I’d like to afford a pool because that would help immensely. I’ve always even when I was younger overheated, but I always drank a lot of coffee every day. I’ve recently started drinking more coffee again or things with caffeine and immediately I’m feeling the hot flashes. I feel overheated inside my body on a cold humid day. That’s ridiculous. Going through menopause early because the surgery affected me at an early age with overheating so bad. My hair would be wet from the heat rising out of it. Anyway, I go on and on sorry. I was feeling sick to my stomach on hot days, I could hardly open the door at the doctors office. So I started looking online before I went to my appointment and saw low potassium issues. Low potassium and too high levels of potassium can kill you so do not take too much of your doctor. Check your potassium every time you have your blood work done since I am a diabetic I go every three months and I tell them to check my potassium and my vitamin D both every time..

@ Yeah, I know, I had really low Vitamin D too, it was a 7. I’m glad you’re working on keeping your levels at the right place.
