oh bitterness hater here! I recommend nescafe 'crema' it only has a hint of bitterness (i am a big baby when it comes to bitternes and i promise it's not bad) i do sense the creamyness and it doesn't really have any of that sour (so called *'fruity') taste. Not sure if you are an instant coffe person though, and so far nescaff has been too lazy to make a decaff version :C (still my all-time favorite coffe though it has the a nice coffe taste without that really astrigent overwhelming bitter aftertaste - i still need creamy oat milk and sweetner though because as i said i am a big baby with bitter things....)
*I know fruit it's yummy! coffe, chocolate etc with notes of fruit never actually has a fruity taste more like: what if we ruined fruit by turning it into vinegar and then added a bit of that to the final product, that way we can get the sour without the freshness and fun....

Dairy milk is actually the name of the chocolate like snickers or galaxy. Cadbury have loads of other chocolates and they're all called 'Cadburys (something)'. I never thought about it before but I guess it's a bit weird if you didn't grow up with it being so iconic in your culture.

Three of these I have suggestions for - Coffee - We have bought the Counter Culture for a lot less than $23 at Target. We've gotten it on sale for like $12-13. Also, Target's Good & Gather brand has some light roast coffees you could try. They're $6.99, or $5.99 on sale. Sprinkles - The Supernatural sprinkles I tried didn't taste like lemon, but my main complaint was they went stale almost overnight. Preppy Kitchen has a video on how to make homemade sprinkles! 3) The Pacific chili - We like the Fire Roasted Vegetable one the most, even slightly more than Harvest Black Bean.

The vegan Ritter Sport salted peanuts is one of my favourite chocolates (I live quite close to the factory 😅 in Germany).
So addictive sadly. Once I open it, I can't help myself but eat the whole bar.
From ALDI a thinner dark chocolate (brand: Moser) with almond and cranberry (really good chewy texture through the cranberries) and
from Vivani the Dark Nougat Chocolate are my other favourites (it literally melts on your tongue - I don't chew it at all - with strawberries I use it as filling for vegan German pancakes).
I can control myself around the one from ALDI the best. It's very delicious but not addictive.

I think you should treat yourself to the coffee. If you aren't going to a coffee shop and paying 3-5 dollars for a cup of coffee, then you are still being frugal, even with very expensive coffee. You get anywhere from 17 to 21 cups from the bag. On the meati things - I bought them early on, when they had "drops" of batches. I wanted to love them, but it was too much like chewing a wad of paper -- no fat, no give. The protein source there is promising, but I think they need to blend it with a few other things - including some added fat.
    Loved the video.

You're in Portland right? Proud Mary in the Alberta Arts district has great coffee. I would also recommend Olympia Coffee from your neighbor up north. 12 oz specialty coffee bags typically go for between $18 and $25 so $23 from CC isn't that surprising, but I never liked CC very much even when I worked at a coffee shop that used it. I think Trade coffee might have some cheaper options for nice light roasts if you're interested in a subscription for coffee.

I've been using a coffee brand called Chock Full of Nuts. It's so cheap and it's actually good! Definitely worth a shot because it's Maxwell House price for good quality coffee. I also started putting less coffee in. My parents had me doing 1 heaping spoonful per cup of water and now I do 75% of that (so like 9 heaping spoons for 12 cups - I hope the coffee math translates haha). It's less bitter with less coffee!

Did you ever see Dr. Bronner's Magic Soapbox (2006)? The mid-00s was such a wild beginning of the final breath of the wacky 20th Century alt-health stuff (as you already know, coming from raw veganism ahaha). I watched that documentary when I was, like, 14, and it was so great to me then, so freaking weird and even had some footage of Dr. Bronner himself. I don't even think about it consciously anymore, but my wife has pointed out that I make up fake quotes impersonating his voice in a character like him all the time.

Love your channel. Just thought I'd ask you if you test your Turmeric for lead? I was today years old when I heard that the spice I try to use often could be contaminated with lead. My bottle of Turmuric is Organic but I still worry. There is a warning label on it (of course I didn't read it) so there's that. Could you address this concern like perhaps to help settle concerns if it's possible. I am considering giving it up all together. (sigh)

Good news i think i found one i like :)
I like that it doesn't have that stupid string you have to pull off. It just has a flip-off cap that pulls the plastic string/thing of automatically (also this means i don't have to carry around a cap while pouring which is annoying because sometimes i put them down while pouring and i lose them). I have only seen them in one place though which is annoying because i run out of milk often :/ (anyway i have tried other barista milks which i found to be creamy but rather 'gritty' in texture - this one is not 'gritty/powdery' and it is also a bit milder in taste but it might just be because the texture is smoother that i feel like it tastes milder.)
Maybe i should just try it one more time to be sure and if i also like the next one i can bulk buy a couple since plant-milk i shelf-staple (that's a BIG win for vegan milks in my book. Some need to be refrigerated but most i have seen don't)
